Oo I'll have to pick this back up then! I watched some of the first season and it was quite good, but got distracted by others and kept meaning to get back to it. Maybe wait for the final and do a massive binge.

Just seen that LISA has a song with Future on her album out tomorrow that's getting support on NMF in Australia. Likely the focus track for her album release - might end up doing something if there's a music video and the song is good! Also noticed she has a song with Tyla which I look forward to hearing *_* JEANNIE has a collab with Dua Lipa on her album which is being released next week - "Handlebars". It sounds nice from the snippet - might make a splash if a music video is released and it's the focus track of her album. Haven't done much in the way of Amazon updates because it's been very stale recently - even worse than it usually is. Only notable thing is there are now two versions of "Abracadabra" at #16 & #22. It's likely top 10 combined so hopefully one version will drop out to allow the other to climb back into the top 10. LISA, Raye & Doja's "Born Again" is also on the rise, up to #47. Hopefully LISA's album release will give the song a bit more of a boost!

I think she was dismissed from the case so "won" essentially. I'm not sure what public opinion on Lizzo is now though as it did taint her somewhat? She did a nice interview with Keke Palmer in December to discuss about everything. If it weren't for the lawsuit I would say Lizzo was building up for a fairly big era as she had a really successful tour and is coming off a a successful album era as well. So if the lead single is good/catchy it will likely do well! It sounds interesting from the short snippet she posted.

Just realised Lizzo is releasing a new song Friday, might challenge for #1 with the low streams if it's good?

Everything seems to be working out nicely for the album release next week. Streams aren't too high at the top of the chart and will likely decrease a bit more meaning she could land various songs in the top 10/20/40 of the UK spotify chart.

Climbing up Amazon again after dipping down to the 20s. Up to #11, perhaps back in the top 10 this week *_*

The low numbers at the top may mean Gaga makes a big splash when her album releases next week *_* I don't think there are any major releases this Friday. LISA is releasing her album so "Born Again" may get a bit of a boost (fingers crossed!).

Ye I agree the lip syncs this season have been fairly uninspired and the queens not that great in them. Hoping we may get 1-2 really great ones still to come though especially as we start whittling down to only strong queens left (probably still a few weeks away from that). I loved Onya from the meet the queens and was my early fav. Glad to see she's been delivering and eating up the competition! I feel like she has a really good shot to win if she makes it to the final. Although Jewels is definitely on the up and up so will be interesting to see if she can get a couple wins in the coming weeks.

He's sold really well over the years! *_* Should see some big gains over the next couple years. Hoping "Luther" will manage to get into his top 10. :wub:

I was hoping Jewels would win, liked her the best. I am so sick of Cher winning you things, can we ban any Cher-isms/impressions for the next 5 seasons please? :lol: Not to say Sam did a bad job or anything! And Sam's runway was gorgeous! Honestly thought everything pretty much did well and the bottom 2 was right. The lip sync was a bit disappointing. Kori was just too much energy all of the time. And then Acacia I thought started strong and was interested to see where it would go and it went no where. :lol: I was expecting her to progressively strip until revealing like some sort of lingerie outfit.

Wait Gaga confirming she's still planning a "Telephone" sequel? What if it's part of the album and drops with a video with Beyoncé on album release day? :cheeseblock: THAT would be a moment.

Omg that JENNIE & Doechii track *_* Doechii is FIRE on it. Hope it becomes a hit! The Blackpink members are killing it with a lot of their solo stuff :wub: Blackpink are expected to reunite with a new album later this year. I wonder if they will finally be able to get a top 10 hit in the UK as I assume their comeback will be massive. Still have to listen to Tate's new album, but amazing debut for her. :wub: And Sam also very strong showing! We should see quite a lot of new songs in the top 40 this week and decent movement in the top 10. The chart is really starting to freshen up with new 2025 releases which is great to see. Not long until Gaga's album release as well which I think will have a good debut, similar to Sam & Tate - maybe even better? (probably wishful thinking).

Perhaps mine is a view too simplistic but I think a lot of the problems we're seeing would be solved by large building of social housing (not "affordable" housing). It would massively reduce the cost of living for a lot of people as well as give people a permanent residence (even if renting). I think why so many people have an issue with immigration is due to the fact a lot of the reasons why we need such high levels of immigration are solveable, but the government haven't tried solving those first (in part due to 14 years of conservative government + Brexit). Hopefully we'll see the rhetoric around immigration quell somewhat in the coming years as Labour start fixing a lot of the issues from the last 10-15 years and move us towards re-joining the EU or single market again. I will say that it is naive to think such high levels of immigration don't have negative impacts though, particularly on the likes of housing and infrastructure given that subsequent governments haven't been able to build enough housing and infrastructure for the current resident population (let alone for the high levels of net immigration we've been seeing over the last 5+ years). Although part of that is due to decisions from many moons ago (Right to buy, privitisation of water/electric etc Still ridiculous water companies get away with so much). Mid-late century is going to be quite interesting as whilst the UK/western world can supplement the population via immigration currently, a lot of countries those immigrants come from will become a lot more developed and it's likely immigration will slow down quite massively. You only have to look at the likes of Poland who are likely to overtake the UK's GDP per capita in the coming 15-20 years.
