Bruno's last solo album opened with 52,334 in Nov 2016. The Silk Sonic album opened with 12,484 in Nov 2021. Should beat the latter but quite a bit below the former. The album is only 9 tracks which doesn't help in this streaming-dominated world. I don't see a huge amount of variants either and they're all priced full price/no sales etc. The album is quite good so I hope it has legs and sticks around a bit!

I assume "Nightingale Lane" will be relegated to a "promo track" and they'll move on quickly with the next single that has the music video filmed either the week before or the week of album release. The BRITS boost feeding nicely into Apple Music now with Olivia Dean the main winner with a lot of her songs climbing. Should see this reflected in tomorrow's spotify update!

I think it's a bit dismissive to call the greens winning due to a protest vote/fantasy politics. They've been gaining a lot of ground in the last year or so which is being reflected in polling and the by-election. I think it's more so due to a shift of the labour-left now moving their votes to the green party and not as a protest but as a genuine movement to a different party after they've seen what Labour have been doing in the last year or two. It's a positive thing overall as it shows there is a demand for more left-wing politics and that it should hopefully help direct labour more to the centre-left. Otherwise I'm hoping the next election we could see a 4-5 party split that leads to Greens/Lib Dems/Labour "coalition" with support from thes like of the SNP/Plaid Cymru + independents for certain areas. Perhaps finally get proportional representation through the next parliament as it would be in the interest of all parties except labour/cons which are unlikely going to be a majority between them.

This is really nice. I hope it debuts high and sticks around for a bit. I do wish it was "I Know You're Hurting" being released instead though - saw it live last year and aboslute chills and I think it's a bit more melodic to work as a single (can't wait for the studio version!).

Bruno's albums have always been short (9-11 tracks). I was hoping for more this time due to being so long since his last solo album but nevermind 🥲

I'm hoping with Charli's songs climbing on a Sunday that the album will climb quite nicely in streaming/hold on to #1 come Friday. I expect we'll see quite a nice climb for the album in tomorrow's spotify update as new releases tend to climb back up on Monday. I believe the film is doing really well so hoping that will also boost the album more as the week progresses (come on TikTok do your thing *_*) Really hoping "So Easy (To Fall In Love)" gets to #1 this week and "Rein Me In" next week. Hoping the physicals haven't been fully counted yet and the paid for vs ad funded ratio of streams for "So Easy (To Fall In Love)" is better!
