Canada vs. the World | Season 2
Cheryl did really well *_* Her death drop was so clean as well. I'm here for Cheryl slaying a bit! :cheer:

SPOILERS | RPDR | All Stars
From what I've read we'll have 3 groups of 6 queens competing over 3 weeks in challenges. There are a top 2 each week and the person who wins the lip sync gets 3 points, the other person in the top 2 2 points and then the other 4 queens each get 1 point that they have to hand out to a different queen. The scores are cumulative over the weeks and at the end of the 3rd week the top 3 queens of each group will merge into a cast to film the remaining of the season in a more usual format. There is a rumour there will be a lip sync smackdown episode of the remaining 9 queens that didn't go through to the normal part of the season to decide who will be the 10th queen on the cast. I think it's really interesting and we'll get to see 18 queens doing various challenges over 3 weeks, plus those that don't make it lip sync possibly. I'm so here for Irene being top 2 every week in her group *_* I knew she would slay. Although sad to see Olivia Lux not managing 1 week in the top 2, I thought she would do really well in an All Stars (could be that the challenegs weren't her cuppa tea). Also Misstress making the merge, yes! Also has it ever happened that a queen has filmed an AS season right after their own season was filmed (in the case of Lydia?). I can't remember if Monet/Mo Hart filmed AS4 right after S10 or if they filmed a bit after S10 aired.

RPDR | All Stars | Season 9
Happy Angeria won  She had the best track record by a small margin. Plus I'm glad she won despite being cut off so many times! Only thing I would want changed is Plastique being top 3 over Vanjie. Looking forward All Stars 10 which will be a much more cut throat season I hope!

2024 United States Presidential Election Thread
Trump pulls out of debating with Kamala and she responds: @1816643863131652527 JD Vance, Trump's pick for VP, has recently said about taking away voting power from those without children: @1816492112713818382 Trump's VP pick is doing a great job at being an utter ...... Should hopefully help mobilise voting towards Kamala from those who are undecided.

2024 BPI Certifications
Great to see Alicia Keys - "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" platinum! Also good two weeks for Dua with "Houdini" platinum and "Training Season" Gold. :cheer: Nice to see Celline's "I Drove All Night" now silver. I'm surprised OneRepublic's "Secrets" is only just now gold. A great example of a song that always felt much bigger than what its chart performance/sales would indicate. Amazing to see ABBA's "Don't Shut Me Down" being certified! It seems to trickle stream fairly well. Hoping "I Still Have Faith In You" may have a chance of being certified in a few years or so as well. It's currently on ~51 million streams on spotify vs ~81 million for "Don't Shut Me Down".

Great to see Billie's lead increase over PPP. Hopefully it will continue to increase over the coming week to get her a chance at #1! Come on Billie's team, release a music video, discount the song, release remixes/extended versions and a CD single or something!

Oo glad to see "Femininomenon" climbing. I have gotten it on autoplay a couple times now! Hope it stands a chance of making a chart appearance at some point (perhaps her other songs will go to ACR allowing it to enter in week or two if it keeps climbing!).

The Official Labour Calmer Steering Thread (mk III)
I feel the best move was to let the MPs vote how they did to show that there is an appetite in government to remove it and for Keir to mention it's something that they will look closely at in the next couple years to see if they can finacially remove it to give people hope - then remove it sooner than expected to the delight of a lot of people (Perhaps in March 2025 budget).

2024 United States Presidential Election Thread
I have to say Kamala is impressing me so far and her campaign is barely out the gate  Her speech at her 1st campaign rally in Milwaukee a couple days ago was great! I'm feeling cautiously optimistic that she may actually be able to win.

Bit of an extreme response from Starmer, but likely trying to create a fairly stern image. I forsee the cap being removed sometime in the next couple years as it doesn't make sense. I also wish the costings were a bit more nauanced as well. For instance, removal of the cap is said to cost the government £3.4 billion/year. However, that £3.4 billion is likely to be put directly back into the economy through families spending on food, toileteries, bills etc. And so the the economic benefit would somewhat "reduce" the cost as well as having the long-term benefit of helping millions of children. In more positive news, so happy to see people like Rachel Reeves in parliament: cny80KAFxTE

Happy to see this finally top 200 *_* Hoping it may pick up some playlist support given how well it's doing so far. Also now showing on Amazon at #286. Fingers cross Megan will film/release a music video for the song in the coming weeks to help boost it a bit. I think it has a shot at going top 40 if she does. Edit: Just seen news she's in Japan filming the music video right now *_* :cheer:

2024 United States Presidential Election Thread
Good news in some aspects. A lot of US voters were quite apathetic due to choosing between two old white men. So Kamala could serve to swing those voters to someone younger if they play their cards right. They will need a solid VP pick for her to balance out against the obvious racism/misogyny she'll get - so a white man VP would likely be the best option. From my understanding Kamala was unpopular but her popularity has improved slightly. Her approval rating isn't much different from Trump though. I do think if they play their cards right the democrats could win with Kamala.

Great to see such a clear out coming up *_* Also happy to see "Birds of a Feather" remaining on SCR and will likely get a new peak in next week's chart! :cheer:

These Walls • Fourth Single
That pretty much is the reason alone though. First week it did ~15 million globally and had good playlisting. Its playlist support started to dwindle. It reached a peak playlist reach of 100 million during release week which has fallen down to ~35 million currently. That's still well above any of the current album tracks. For instance "End of an Era" currently has a playlist reach of ~3.8 million and "Falling Forever" just ~1.4 million. Playlisting plays a massive role in streams, particularly passive streams of album tracks.

Lots of positive things in the speech. One thing I am happy about is the axing of the remaining hereditary peers in the House of Lords. I do wish they would go further in some areas, such as renationalising water companies outright - although that would likely be fairly costly

:o "Birds of a Feather" almost #1 on spotify?! :cheer: Also Charli's "360" reaching a new peak *_* It's been rising really well in the US too (new peak of #47 there), so hoping that may have a positive effect in the UK. Would love it if we see "360" top 20 in the near future. With a possibly large clear out due to ACR it may not be long! Edit: Just noticed "Birds of a Feather" has also climbed to #8 on Amazon after sitting around the ~#20 mark for a while and is also up to #6 on Apple Music where it was sitting around #10 for a while. I'm pretty sure it should have a decent increase this week to avoid ACR. That should mean it'll get a new peak in the chart next week with Eminem's 2nd week drop + "Bar Song (Tipsy)" & "Espresso" likely going to ACR (both are down week on week on spotify every day so far).

Excited *_* Glad to see only 1 queen per country. So many runner ups :o Going to be a strong season I think! Rooting for Kitty!

Come on "Birds of a Feather"!! *_* It's had a small increase compared to the previous week for both Friday & Saturday. Hope that continues throughout the week to avoid ACR. If it can hold on it may get a #3 or #2 peak with "Espresso" & "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" possibly going on ACR for next weeks' chart (both are down week on week for both Friday & Saturday so far so good chance they will go to DCL-3 and ACR next week). I hope Billie releases a music video for "Birds of a Feather" and signed CDs in a couple weeks as she'll have a good chance at #1 I would think if it does avoid ACR.

2024 BPI Certifications
So happy to see this go silver  Third song from the album to be certified at least silver! It's pretty much been a staple in & around the top 100 of the Amazon chart since album release (currently #91) which has likely helped its trickle streams/sales. :cheer:

Estimated ACR status updates 2024
That would be such a great clear out! We also have Eminem helping this week with his album by redirecting some streams and also to help boost the market so a lot of songs will find themselves more easily declining faster than the market. Although I do hope "Birds of a Feather" manages to hold on. If it did I could see it finally going top 3 the week after Eminem's album bomb. Billie has been doing some promo rounds on youtube. Hoping she may drop a music video for "Birds of a Feather" midweek maybe (almost 0% chance of that happening tbh).

Ye, plus it didn't get much playlist support so being top 100 now is a decent start. Youtube video views aren't as big as I thought they would be. Will need to see how it does on spotify but it may actually struggle to debut Top 40 unless it gets added to some playlists mid-week (HHUK normally updates Monday so hoping Katy is added then).

Woman's World • 1st Single
:cheeseblock: Doing much worse than I thought it was going to do. It had almost 120k likes in 2 hours last night. To then barely do another 120k in the following 17 hours... Video certainly stalled quite quickly in gaining views/likes. Top 100 on Apple Music UK now at least. Although she does have 17? Eminem songs ahead of her, so that's hurting it a bit. Still think it's really catchy and can still become a decent hit. Hoping we'll see the song pick up more support on streaming services. Katy's one of the most streamed females artists montly on the likes of spotify and the level of support for this is kinda shocking. Although I am holding out for the later addition to playlists like HHUK when they update on Monday. Considering the level of hype/build up/budget and even talks of it being a comeback on the level of Mariah's Emancipation of Mimi... Of course it's only day 1 so hopefully it'll manage to pick up and do well long-term.

Woman's World • 1st Single
I don't believe so. HHUK updated a bit before the song was released. Most of the time it updates again on Monday so expect that's when Katy will be added. Song is a total BOP. Great video to go with it as well. In fact the music video already has over 117k likes in less than 2 hours which is pretty insane for western artists on youtube nowadays. Looks like she'll do big numbers on youtube to help bolster her debut week. :cheer:

Woman's World • 1st Single
Her back catalogue streams are quite high and it looks like the budget/material will be there. I wouldn't be surprised if she's top 5 NMF and added to both TTH & HHUK almost right away.
