  1. Yes the new BBC "forecast" seems to be a bit too positive for the conservatives given how badly they have done so far. I'm expecting the conseravtives to struggle to get to 110-120 MPs at the current rate.
  2. Gaza. If Labour's stance on Gaza was better then they likely wouldn't have lost the 2 seats they've lost so far. Labour gaining Lichfield is really positive. *_*
  3. Labour gain Gravesham in Kent from the conservatives! Hopefully the first of many Kent seats to fall to Labour and the Lib Dems *_*
  4. Labour gaining Stevenage as well. Gaining so many commuter areas north of London *_*
  5. Islington South and Finsbury a Labour hold (my constituency). Surprising thing is Lib Dem's vote share dropped quite a bit and now the green party are 2nd place with a +13.2% gain! Nice to see the Greens gaining votes.
  6. Lib Dems now the 2nd biggest party so far, I hope it stays that way *_* How I love seeing the Conseratives with -21 seats so far with another ~600 seats to go.... It's going to be a blood bath
  7. That's really useful/a nice visualisation thanks!
  8. The Exit poll has more margin for error than usual due to the boundary changes and that quite a lot of seats are/were expecting to be quite close battles - quite a few in 3 sometime 4 way battles. From what I can see so far, Labour and Lib Dems are doing better than the exit poll expected with the conservatives doing slightly worse. But we still have lots of seats to come! I think some key seats will be out by 3am IIRC.
  9. Going so fast I can't keep up. Amazing to see such postitive news time and time again (well apart from the Reform seat...). Can't wait to see more seats from the South East get called - particularly around Surrey/Kent where we could see Lib Dems doing a lot better than expected and decimating the conservatives *_*
  10. Not even close! Cons down ~29%, Labour up ~12%. 18,804 vs 10,554.
  11. Labour gain Colchester! Seat was to be a close one between Con vs Labour, so great to see Labour win it! Awaiting to see exact numbers.
  12. Labour hold Barnsley South now as well. Great to see as it means Reform is likely not going to be taking any seats away from Labour. Also Lib Dems are already speaking about winning Tunbridge Wells. Result hasn't been announced yet but that would be a great result if true!
  13. Lib Dems gain Eastleigh from Conservatives *_* Great result for Lib Dems!
  14. Labour hold Barnsley North - one of the seats reform were expected to win I believe? So really good result for Labour there.
  15. I realise it's quite early still and we have quite a lot of seats to go, but so far everything seems quite positive! Conservatives so far doing worse than expected I believe. So hopefully that trend continues so that Labour/Lib Dems improve on the exit poll result!
  16. They're on the BBC website if you use the map view and click "go to detailed results". It's a bit finicky though. Also Lib Dem get their first gain of the night from the conservatives - Harrogate and Knaresborough! :cheer:
  17. I assume the lower turnout is also less conservative voters bothering to vote. Hoping the reform vote will hold in conservative areas and help Labour/Lib Dems get some big gains.
  18. Should have first seat by 11:30pm, with seats trickling from then. I believe there are larger batches of seats coming in at 1am, 2am, 3am & 4am.
  19. Just had a look at previous exit polls and generally they underestimate Labour usually - although not by much. In the case of this election there is more uncertainty/a bigger margin for error I assume with boundary changes and reform UK splitting the conservative vote.
  20. I need Labour to really sting them with that fact as the conservatives will try to make things be "disappointing" for Labour not getting a bigger majority.
  21. Exit poll is promising, hopefully the actual results go more in favour of the other parties and less so the conservatives. 131 seats for the conservatives will be the lowest number of seats they've ever had. Historically the worst result they have ever had :cheer:
  22. Envoirment posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
This is a lot of fun and the production is so catchy *_* I hope it goes viral on TikTok and becomes an unexpected hit!
  23. Voted Labour. I've only had a leaflet this time round from the Conservatives surprisingly. I'm in one of Labour's safest seats, Islington South and Finsbury. I'm quite interested how well the Lib Dems do here. They came very close in the 2005 election but every election since then their vote share has fallen. Given the current political situation I wouldn't be surprised if they were to get a larger vote share this election than last. I also wonder how accurate the exit poll will be this time round? We've had constituency boundary changes and a lot of seats are 3-4 way splits between Labour/Lib Dems/Conservatives/Reform with the greens also being comepetitve in some seats. I wouldn't be surprised if the exit poll is off by a bit more than usual? My ideal result would be: Labour majority - 400+ seats. Lib Dem Opposition - 80+ seats. Conservatives - less than 80 seats. Green Party - 2-6 seats
  24. I hope tactical voting is in full swing tomorrow. We have a decent chance of the Lib Dems becoming the 2nd biggest party and the opposition! Also surprised to see some of the MRP polls with decent ranges for the Greens. I know it may not sound like much, but the fact they could be in contention of 4-6 seats if the vote is in their favour is quite amazing - hope it does surprise and they end up with 3+ MPs.
  25. Omg. Honestly wouldn't blame any Labour MPs doing that to kick the conservatives out of the opposition!
