The Pussycat Dolls - Club Song
Cringing at how many times Nicole says 'When I wrote this...' or 'When I heard this in the studio' about the songs that the other Dolls clearly had no involvement in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwf_pgaboZU&t=1047s

Harry Potter • Season 1
Trailer just dropped. I mean, aside from the obvious stain of JK Rowling making money from this the other issue for me is that it all just seems so...pointless? The original movies only ended 15 years ago and we've had the Hogwarts Legacy game a few years ago, the Cursed Child play, Fantastic Beasts series and the Reunion in 2022 with the cast. There hasn't been nearly enough time to give the franchise a breather and the original cast was stacked with some of the biggest and most beloved British actors ever - Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, Michael Gambon, Gary Oldman, Jason Isaacs, Ralph Fiennes etc. Daniel, Rupert and Emma are ingrained in society as THE trio and the fact these movies were the first time seeing everything brought to life (and being in the middle of the anticipated book releases which were huge events) means it really had that special experience that any future adaptions just won't have. Also, looking at the trailer Hagrid looks ridiculous I'm sorry. Even the way he speaks is too polite and coherent when original Hagrid was very rough and mumbly. The actor - forgot his name - looks like he's dressed up as Hagrid for Halloween. The trio look fantastic and so do Petunia, Dudley and Malfoy but I'm not keen on Dumbledore (Gambon's portrayal really lost that kindness and humour that is so important in the books and I really hope this isn't missed in this series) and Snape, well, just looks ridiculous and is so glaringly unlike Rickman's iconic portrayal that the poor actor is just going to get slated like crazy. I have no idea what they were thinking with this casting choice. HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE | Official Teaser Trailer (2026) 4K

Chappell Roan security guard controversy
Plenty of former celebrities leave the industry and have regular jobs.

Chappell Roan security guard controversy
If her mental health is really being impacted by the loss of privacy and dealing with fans and paparazzi then yes, the logical thing to do would be to stop out of the spotlight? It's delusional to think that anything will change in pop culture regarding celebrity worship and parasocial relationships just because one celebrity makes a fuss about it. Fans have literally murdered their favourite artists, broken into houses, snuck into hotel rooms, harassed their family members etc for decades and nothing has changed. You cannot get rid of the human nature to be curious about seeing famous people in public. Kids and teenagers will always, always be excited to see a celebrity and want to approach them. People with poor mental health will have fixations on celebrities and stalk them. Death threats and abuse will always come when a celeb gets political. None of this will ever change. And it's ridiculous to compare a normal 9 - 5 job where you're completely anonymous to the life of a huge pop star with millions of fans. Every job has downsides but only fame causes you to lose your entire private life and have everyone know who you are, where you go, every personal detail about you etc. It's extremely messed up and again, I SUPPORT Roan here, but if it's causing anguish and misery then you have to re-evaluate whether being a pop star is the best choice or whether you're better moving away from the public, avoiding promo and just releasing music independently or something.

There's nothing more annoying than entitled fans claiming their faves are 'rude' for not acknowledging them or posing for selfies/signing autographs in public places. Celebrities are human beings too and if they have time off from work and are trying to enjoy a day with their family, a breakfast in a hotel, a walk in a park etc then they should be allowed to in peace without fans coming up to them and invading their privacy. I know it's part of the deal with being famous that stuff like this will always happen but we need to stop encouraging it and start supporting celebrities who set boundaries and call out these toxic parasocial relationships. I literally just saw something about two Scottish footballers being called out and called ignorant because they didn't stop for a young fan either. It's so entitled to think that because you buy a ticket to support someone or buy their CD or go see their movie or whatever that this person 'owes' you something in return. While it's true that these people wouldn't be where they are without their fans, stuff like Meet and Greets or Comic Con or red carpets or competitions are professional ways to interact with them and if someone ignores you in public you need to accept it and remember that these people probably get fans swarming them all day every day no matter where they go or what they do and if someone does greet you with a smile and poses with you then it's something to be grateful for and not something you were owed anyway. Saying that though, if it really is impacting Roan and she can't handle it then she really should get out of the industry. Things aren't going to change. You cannot be a successful and popular musician and still have your privacy in public.

ROUND 10: Stranger Things Characters Survivor
Joyce was pretty much useless after S2 so I voted her.

The Pussycat Dolls - Club Song
There's an interview with Jessica out (sorry can't link rn) and she's got Nicole's stuttering words from that interview printed on T-shirts and is selling them. Yikes. The whole interview is so negative and mean spirited. The two male hosts even had a dig at Kim for having a UK accent. Just grossly uncomfortable.

ROUND 9: Stranger Things Characters Survivor
Erica ruined Season 3.

Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix
Why did my post get deleted @Slayer ? I know you’re a Jesy stan (for some reason) but running a Twitter page giving updates on every single thing she does, plus deleting any comments questioniny your non stop bumps to this thread with mundane Tweets from your fan page/Jesy is bordering on….extremely weird. Please don’t try and erase my contributions to the forum like that.

The Pussycat Dolls - Club Song
The 'go, go, go' parts are the only interesting part. Also I would have LOVED to see GRL support them on tour. Surprised they aren't considering it's Robin's other group and they were ready to reunite in 2021.

JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! THE ENCORE • 1st Album DELUXE
I love how much she stans The Saturdays. She's mentioned the Megamix so many times over the years and she was at the Work and Greatest Hits tours. She just has so much taste.

- Does anyone remember the ChartStats website?
I think it closed down in maybe 2015. It had artist pages with all their entire discography listened and their entire chart runs plus a line graph to show it's performance in the top 100. It was so satisfying for chart nerds like me and I hate there's nothing really like it these days..- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
I guess most fanbase driven albums freefall anyway. It's just the charts these days. Saying it again but streaming may have made the ease of listening to music easier but it's totally ruined the charts.- Little Mix • Off-Topic Chat
The show absolutely needed a group to win to justify the existence of the category. It would have been ridiculous to make it to series 9 without one winning. Looking back, though, how on Earth did Marcus Collins get to the final? Could you imagine if he won?! BTW - does anyone know if the contestants stayed in touch or said anything about Little Mix after the show? I saw Marcus in some photos with Jade a few years back and I know Misha B posted about Tulisa and X-Factor (possibly about the bust-up she had with Little Mix that Tulisa addressed on the show, I can't remember) but would be interesting to see what relationship, if any, the other acts have with them. Oh, and I found old Popjustice Forum posts from the live shows saying Perrie's Dad actually spoke about Misha B's bullying towards them. I'll try find it...- Little Mix • Off-Topic Chat
I was rewatching their old X-Factor performances and it truly is incredible how so many various factors aligned to boost them into the winning position. Of course they were very talented and their first few performances were already miles better than The Saturdays - only other girl group at the time - but of course, typically girl groups don't do well on the show and they had very little screen time prior to the live shows. They were the bookies favourite to go out first and even in the groups category the focus was on The Risk as the 'main' contenders They were lucky in a sense that there was a push for a group to win the show at last and that The Risk just didn't take off in popularity like expected. I also think that Janet peaking too early, Tulisa destroying Misha B's chances and the stupid twist of Amelia being eliminated and brought back too late to secure a fanbase really meant all the competition was being bulldozed out of the way for LM to grab the win. The Week 1 twist probably helped them more than anyone else too as out of 16 acts it would have been so easy for them to be forgotten and in the bottom two. Tulisa having picked them to be safe over 2 Shoes showed to the public that they must have had something about them considering 2 Shoes were quite popular at that point. ALSO they were lucky they had Tulisa as a mentor because Louis would have been hopeless with them, Gary wasn't keen on them and thought Perrie should have been the lead and Kelly wasn't that involved with her acts. Tulisa was the most hands on and passionate for her acts. Looking at the public votes they were already doing well on Week 2 but were close to the bottom two in Week 3 (their weakest performance) but again, they were 'lucky' in a sense that the following week Jesy had her trolling storyline which I guess helped build a connection and give the group a name and a face they could remember and empathize with. After that VT of Jesy crying, E.T being fantastic and the name change to Little Mix the momentum just built and built. I'm not sure how they would have fared in literally any other series. It really did feel like a culmination of so many things that just went right for them.- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
Ah, I love this. I know chart figures are mostly arbitrary these days but I think anyone in her position would understand how important it was that this did well and matched the other two girls. It must have been quite sad for her that Don't Say Love went to number 11 when the other girls got their moment with a top ten single so I'm so happy she got a very respectable chart position of her own to celebrate.- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
Also them getting number 3 together and Jesy's single being number 4 is oddly poetic, too.- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
OMG that's fantastic! All three of them getting number 3 is so, so fitting. Congrats Leigh!!! Stanning these girls is so ridiculously rewarding, I tell you. There is always a reason to celebrate and there's always some connection between the girls even after they split up years ago. That must be a record or something for three members of the same group getting a top 3 album?- Jade Thirlwall • Discussion Thread
I could watch social media content of her all day. She is just so damn funny and likeable.- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
Literally none of them have a huge UK fanbase. Do you honestly think someone like Emeli Sande or Shaznay Lews would have young fans/gays multi buying variants and running social media campaigns to buy the album? Mixers are so dedicated and rabid that they pushed Sweet Melody to number 1 by buying about five or six versions of the song on iTunes together. I'm sure Mixers on Twitter are running schemes so international fans can donate to the UK and get more sales for Leigh too. Again, Leigh HAS hustled and deserves the success but it's just a tad cringey when people act like the odds were against her and that it's a miraculous achievement she's charting so high.- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
Ehh, I love the girls but stans on here are quite ridiculous at times. People keep referring to her as an independent artist as if she's some unknown singer when she was in the biggest girlgroup of the century for 10 years, has multiple variants, done signings and has a huge Little Mix fanbase supporting her. Yes getting top 5 is great but she was never destined to miss the top 40 or something. Let's be real. Album sales are dead and anyone with a fanbase and variants can go top 10.- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
Yup. Totally fabricated. Shame as I REALLLYYYYY want the rock version of WLM.- Leigh-Anne - My Ego Told Me To • 1st Album | 20th February 2026
Oh man, I really want the rock version but if she doesn't get top 3 that's going to be quite embarrassing because now there's stakes dependant on it. I understand the need for her to go top 3, I really do. Especially as she didn't get a top 10 single and was the only one not to do so. The problem with stuff like this is that it just becomes more of a big deal if she does fail to get the chart position and she's putting more of a spotlight on the fact she's performing worse than the others. Edit - It's fake news.- The Traitors Ireland • Series 1
Yeah, I didn't enjoy this at all. It just looked too cheap, there were no major storylines, no big drama and some of the cast members were pretty unlikeable. I think out of all the versions of the show this one was probably the worst. - Does anyone remember the ChartStats website?
