  1. So her natural hair is an afro? What about her natural skin colour? This girl.....
  2. Jesy is not a Mel C, Una Healy or Nadine Coyle. She isn’t a musician and doesn’t care about songwriting or producing. She isn’t the type of ‘artist’ to release independent EP’s and tour tiny venues. She’s only interested in the music industry because someone else is funding everything and giving her access to writers and producers and she wants to be a ‘star’. She has no interest in hustling away independently writing songs that won’t even make the top 200.
  3. How humiliating. She spent the first half of 2021 endlessly teasing her debut and building it up to be a 'moment' then her single fell out of the charts in a month, she lost thousands of followers and industry goodwill, made the BBC News for her disastrous promo attempts, became a laughing stock with her Jingle Ball performance and then did nothing for the next 7 months before being dropped. Hope it was worth it Jesy.
  4. So after 2.5 years of avoiding it I unfortunately tested positive three weeks ago. I had a ROUGH time and spent the first 10 days vomiting for hours every morning and being completely bed bound. I've made alot of improvements however I've started to develop obvious symptoms of POTS which is now scaring the shit out of me. Did anyone else have issues with their heart rate when recovering from their infection? It's either POTS or Long Covid....and I don't want either. :(

Mollie was presenting on This Morning today.
  6. I think this era is over. Bam Bam was a moderate hit with an Ed Sheeran feature but Don't Go Yet didn't do that well and the album bombed now no other singles are taking off. I'm sure she'll be back in 2024 with another top 20 hit.
  7. Nobody cares.

Honestly full respect to the girls for actually participating in the race as well. I'd fully understand if they didn't want to get involved themselves (I imagine unfortunately they'll be swarmed with people wanting selfies and being bothered) so for them to actually go there in person and run amongst 'the public' is really nice of them. (That sounds so patronising but honestly, I get second hand embarrassment when fans bother celebs in public and with an event like this I'd hope that people have common sense and give them a bit of space)

Looks like a GRM production. Also I was never a huge N-Dubz fan and haven't saw alot of their videos but I swear they already did the 'helicopter' thing in I Need You and Best Behaviour? And another video?
  10. Honestly considering they're probably one of the biggest artists in the UK and must bring in an insane amount of money for their label, their tour productions were really underwhelming. They never had a catwalk either even though their sort of music and energy is screaming out for one. The Glory Days tour in particular looked REALLY cheap and that was after their biggest ever album and singles.
  11. And blackfishing, inappropriate behaviour and showing ignorance to her colleagues and fans who tried to call her out.
  12. Jesy/her label/whoever is running her career really don't have a clue. Putting aside the blackfishing/drama/Boyz release, it's just insanely stupid that she left the group 18 months ago and has released one single. She had so much time to build up a solo career for herself and establish herself before the other girls released and now even though she had a huge head start she's going to be even more forgotten about when Jade/Leigh/Perrie drop their debuts. Just get a move on. Release something. Get on a feature. Do something. I don't even support her AT ALL and check this thread out of curiosity but it's so frustrating seeing situations like this happen with anyone. When is it going to click that radio silence and constantly going back to the studio for months KILLS CAREERS? It's the same with Normani. She left Fifth Harmony over four years ago and has released two singles. You need to erm, release music in this industry.

As much as I think Dappy is a tool I just listened to Number 1 for the first time in YEARS and have to admit that he does a great job. It's so damn catchy. Lol @ Tulisa and Fazer getting 3 seconds of screen time in the video though.
  14. Oh yeah I just meant in terms of when Strip That Down was released back in 2017. The only stat I could be thinking of would be maybe Liam had a bigger debut on Spotify with his debut than the others did?
  15. Pillowtalk, I Don't Want To Live Forever, Dusk 'Til Dawn and Sign Of The Times were much bigger than Strip That Down so it's not true. Regardless of streaming numbers, you just don't have that attitude. It's off putting. Have a bit of humility.
  16. This guy is an absolute nutjob. Sorry. He's absolutely deluded, disgusting and reeking of insecurity and toxic masculinity.

Dappy's attitude and lack of enthusiasm in promo is really jarring. Honestly. It completely puts me off buying tickets. Get your shit together mate.
  18. I think that all four of them done really well to work together and spend so much time together for nine years before coming to blows really. I have friends and family that I'm close with and sometimes I'm sick of the sight of them and being around them too much irritates me so I can't imagine how hard it must be in a girl group when there's so much cameras and attention analysing every interaction you have with eachother. Saying that, I think a combination of things probably caused Jesy and the other three to fall out. For a start lockdown meant that they were all finally spending time alone and while the other three were very much still pro-Little Mix and getting involved in promo and embracing all the at home interviews and games, Jesy was clearly over it and barely spoke. She did admit that lockdown made her think about what's important to her and that she did actually enjoy some aspects of the isolation and not being in 'Little Mix' all the time. Secondly I feel like Jesy's documentary being so popular and her filming for it away from the other three girls (while they were doing YouTube content) and then her winning an award made her (correctly, at the time) think she was riding a wave of public goodwill and that she was in a better position than the others to finally go solo. Thirdly 2020 also brought us BLM and the protests around the world which I guess made Leigh more observant and passionate about standing up for her beliefs even if it meant being confrontational with Jesy and her blackfishing. Jesy has been a clown but I don't think re-writing history to imply there's always been bad blood or previous fall outs is helpful. They all clearly loved eachother and had a strong friendship for about nine years. It was only a year before Jesy left that they were filming the Eat In series at eachothers houses.
  19. Literally spent last night reading the amount of school shootings on Wikipedia. They're happening at LEAST every MONTH! Nothing will change. It's the same generic statements every time. People will mourn, politicians will say that something needs to change and then people will move on to the next tragedy.
  20. Break Up Song has about 200K sales more than Holiday plus peaked six places higher and as you said, spent longer in the top 20. The run from Think About Us > Bounce Back > One I've Been Missing was them on a downward trajectory and seemed to indicate public interest and their commercial appeal was fading. Break Up Song at the time became their biggest hit in a while and showed longevity (it spent longer in the top 20 than Bounce Back did in the top 40) and that's what I mean when I say that Holiday then being released and missing the top 10 completely and not doing as well sales wise seemed like it had messed up the momentum that Break Up Song had managed to build. They're lucky they had Sweet Melody/The Search afterwards.
  21. Not gonna lie that period between Think About Us and Holiday did make me think they were never getting a smash hit single again. I feel like Holiday derailed the good work that Break Up Song had done for their (waning) commercial appeal and that they were unlikely to bother the top 10 again. The fact that they then had Sweet Melody, Confetti and Heartbreak Anthem smashing and being their biggest songs in years was a great example of an act turning their career around.
  22. I can't see any of the girls having international success regardless of who their management is.
  23. This was really enjoyable. I didn't post anything but I was always checking for updates. Fantastic job. :)
  24. It's easier for a solo artist to sing choruses live than a group. You can't ask three women to perform choreography and sing a chorus in harmony together. You are right, though. Your post reminded me of when they sang The Cure on the LM5 tour and frequently stopped singing due to emotional moments (Jesy crying) and the track sounded the exact same with nobodys microphone held to their mouth. I understand lip syncing choruses with choreography but slower stuff or songs without choreo should definitely be attempted.
