Also, with the poor airplay (like, literally no airplay bar Radio 1) - how do the girls get that back? :(
It's a difficult situation. Radio won't play them until they become really relevant and popular again, and they can't become relevant and popular unless they get airplay.
Maybe we can hope for a "long running top 20 hit"? The album release next week should keep this single stable at least for a week before it inevitably drops.

I know Rizzle Kicks performed 'When I Was A Youngster' on Xtra Factor but that was it. Are the performances still big budget performances (i.e with the main XF stage and cameras, good production etc) or are they shitty little "extra" stages on the Xtra Factor set with only two cheap cameras?
At least they were considered, though. It gives us hope for next year LOL. It's sad, though that Rihanna has already sold about 400K with her single and doesn't even need the performance and The Sats could benefit hugely from it. :(

Going off at a tangent, the unluckiest act to score a number 2 single was Sash, who managed to score 5 in total. Three of these were behind singles that sold over a million copies with another single peaking at number 2 behind a single that sold over 800,000 copies. To add to Sash's unlucky streak of releasing singles at the wrong time, another of his / their singles peaked at number 3 - with both records in front at numbers 1 and 2 being million sellers!
Oofft. :o
Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Wiseman have had about 16 top ten singles (five #2's) and not one #1, although they've been #1 three times in the midweeks. Ouch. :(

Really? Wow. The only thing it has going for it is that it's not 'How To Save A Life'.
I was going to say that I don't know anybody who dislikes that either. Both songs are incredibly popular at my school and amongst the people I know. They're sort of like "student anthems", their lyrics are always quoted on Facebook for example.
Shame nothing The Fray have done since comes close to the quality of those two. :(

Nicole is in a very similar situation to Diana was last year with 'My Wicked Heart'.
Diana had had very little airplay prior to her (incredible) X Factor performance and stalled in the 40s. Yet after the performance, she climbed to #12 (should have been #1) - I see something similar happening with Nicole. She'll probably reach the 40s or 50s prior to her performance, and just scrape top 10 afterwards :)
Hardly.
It was a bloody AWFUL song, no wonder it flopped.

How much will 'On Your Radar' sell in it's first week?
