People were discussing the songs performance in the charts, you then said you didn't think the GP were aware of the drama and I pointed out that it was on national news and you've turned it round and acted like a victim again.

I mean it was national news at 6pm. :lol: I for one was giving the song a few streams a day until last night and now I've removed it and I'm sure plenty of other people have so she's definitely going to be suffering commercially even if it's just losing support from Buzzjack, Popjustice and Twitter. :lol:

This isn't meant with any sort of sarcasm or spite at all but I truly, truly feel sorry for Jesy. :( Of course Leigh is the victim and Jesy has caused all of this, but when Nicki was ranting about Leigh last night there was definitely some looks from Jesy that indicated she had FINALLY realised the mistake she had made and how bad things were going to get. Nicki will abandon her as soon as the Boyz promo ends and she's already burned bridges with Little Mix and lost most of the support from LM fans. I just feel like it's going to get really uncomfortable and I worry about her mental health if her career flops and she's left feeling like she has no love or support from anyone - even if, as I said, it's because of her own choices. My heart aches for Leigh but the only positive there is that she has recently given birth to twins, has a long term relationship, a great relationship with Perrie and Jade and of course so much to look forward to with Little Mix plus a huge outpouring of support and love from fans around the world after this. It's just such an ugly situation and as much as Jesy's behaviour has enraged me, I truly just want her to get out of the spotlight and reflect on her choices and educate herself and apologize. It's just so awkward and sad to see someone hype up their solo career for months and to see the debut single overshadowed by drama and hatred after only four days of release.

Yeah that’s bullshit though. Look at the 4 of them when they won the Brit in 2017 - they were all over eachother and crying about how much they were best friends forever. There was never EVER any indications of tension between any of the group so this is definitely just revisionism.

Liam had a about 4 or 5 hits and one of them was a global top ten. Jesy will be lucky to get top 5 in her own market with one single.

She text Jesy PRIVATELY last year and had opportunities all of 2021 to go public and bad mouth her and still kept dignified about the situation. She's been close with Jesy since 2011 and not once threw her under a bus. She made a documentary about racism last year and Jesy never once supported it or acknowledged it publicly and then she ditched the group because she got called out for blackfishing, blocked the girls and is now acting like a bad girl from the ghetto with her fake tan, low rider, grills and Nicki/Diddy in her video meanwhile acting like a victim and using mental health to deflect any criticism. Leigh snapped and sent a few texts in response to an influencer who was clearly baiting. How the HELL is that on the same level as Nicki Minaj (who doesn't know a thing about the group) ranting to 100K followers, calling her a clown, swearing and then making pointed, passive aggressive Instagram and Twitter posts to Leigh (even NAMING HER) when she has millions of fans around the world? So for a timeline of things....the Sweet Melody video was shot in September 2020, right? And Jesy's last appearance was in October on The Search when performing Holiday/Touch? So things potentially could have been frosty behind the scenes between then? Or did it maybe blow up after that last performance and that's why she didn't return the next week?

Was Nicki told to act as an 'interviewer' for Jesy and that's why she asked about her history and seemed to not know she was in a group before? Or did she really forget she done a verse for Woman Like Me, performed at the EMAs, had them on her radio show and used them as a tool in her fued with Cardi? Also that 5 seconds of awkward silence after Nicki ranted about Leigh and Jesy just stared at the camera, swallowing and looking uncomfortable....girl knows she's f***ed everything up.

If anything it showed how out of her depth Jesy really is. She's a 'baddie' and her and Nicki are 'so close' and she thinks she's a hood girl and tough with her bad boy dancers and P Diddy in her video and yet when it comes to a one to one interaction with Nicki she's awkward, uncomfortable, quiet and lets Nicki do all the talking. They're apparently so close that Nicki didn't even know she was in a girl group (the same group she contributed a verse for only three years ago and performed with live at an awards show). The whole situation is just sad. She could have been celebrating the 10th anniversary with Little Mix, getting a number 1 with Sweet Melody and enjoying the success with Confetti/Heartbreak Anthem/Kiss My Uh Oh and lapping up all the goodwill and love from the industry with a Brit Award and yet she's destroyed her close friendship with the girls, made herself a laughing stock and ruined any affection the public had for her after Odd One Out. I think she may be regretting this solo career.

I have so much respect for Leigh messaging Jesy privately and keeping it private for a full year. That must have taken so much restraint.

To be BRUTALLY fair, wasn't that Glamour interview earlier this year after Jesy had already left the group? It's possible she didn't want to talk about it too much or get into detail because her relationship with the girls was awkward/icy and didn't feel like it was appropriate to talk about Leigh's feelings like that publicly? (but yeah, it is sad seeing the other 3 so supportive of her in Odd One Out which was only filmed 2 years ago. I mean Perrie and Jade were literally in tears for her.)

Has there been any hints of a live performance? My pet peeve with the industry these days is that artists barely ever perform outside of their tours and award shows. :( Surely she could get a One Show performance? Graham Norton? Something?

So someone on their stylist team is on Twitter saying the girls didn't know she was leaving and Jesy blocked them on Whatsapp and had a go at them and didn't congratulate them on their pregnancies etc. It's all spilling out now.

It's still early days but being the 19th most listened to track on Spotify in the UK on Day 2 of release considering the amount of attention it's getting definitely doesn't scream huge future smash.

Can we keep the blackfishing/drama in the other thread? It'd be cool if this one was just to track charts and anything related to the song/video. I've been strongly critical of Jesy lately but I have to give her credit that although there's nothing original whatsoever about this release, she is a great dancer and I would have liked to have seen more choreo on the second and third verses. I also do think it's pretty incredible she's got Nicki Minaj and P Diddy in her debut video and there's such a push behind it. I'd KINDA like to see it become a hit and for her to chart worldwide purely so it can bring more attention to Little Mix though. :lol:
