I'd never actually heard the original before and ended up adding that to my playlist instead. :lol: I knew Jezy had sampled it but I thought it was just a subtle thing or a hook for the chorus or whatever - I was a bit shocked when I heard that it's basically the entire melody/production/instrumental.

I love how she thinks 'black culture' is just rap music. If you had to actually ask her to talk specifics about what she thinks black culture is or to talk about Black Lives Matter she wouldn't have a clue.

Exactly. If she has a video shoot/photoshoot/performance as a solo artist scheduled she still has to do it even if she doesn't want to. What's the difference? :lol: (low key I wish she'd be allowed to just say she wanted to leave because she wanted a solo career without worrying about backlash and bad publicity. There's nothing wrong with wanting to try do your own thing after 9 years of being in a group. All her reasons about leaving are contradictory and confusing.)

On one hand I do understand that artists need to be cautious as they're bound to be surrounded by people every day (fans mobbing them everywhere they go) but I also feel like it's a very easy 'excuse' for them to pocket some extra money and do the bare minimum.

I honestly do love Leigh and Jade's 'what I do shouldn't faze you no' sections. So bloody catchy - reminds me of the verses from Sugababes - Denial. :lol:

Okay so I watched Off The Record years ago (and many times since) but never kept a track of their discography and releases as there was about 20+ singles and I was always more of a casual fan of the girls. I just looked at their Wikipedia discography page and saw See The Day was actually released five weeks after Biology (:o!!) and before Whole Lotta History....which to me means it's sort of hilarious or bizarre that there was zero mention of that release in their documentary. I assumed they just went from Biology to Whola Lotta History with the amount of times Biology is promoted on the show. I don't think there was one single reference to See The Day even though that was sandwiched between both of them and they were being filmed just after it was released (start of 2006). :lol:

She unfollowed all of them last year and then followed Jesy again for this release and will probably unfollow her again after it. :lol:

Honestly I'm surprised Nicki is so involved with this. Don't most guest rappers usually just phone in a quick 25 second verse and show up in a green screen for the video and never mention it on their socials? It's quite....something that Nicki is actually in this video with Jesy (I assume they have a scene together) and is promoting it on her Insta etc.

I didn't get any tension or bad vibes from her at all regarding the other girls? She's been very complimentary towards them several times now and I remember she posted on her Instagram story when they won their Brit Award. I think she's a pain in the arse and an idiot when it comes to the blackfishing stuff but I have to give her due here - she's been very classy about the other 3.

(Sorry to sound dumb and possibly insensitive but what exactly is the situation with Tom's health? I got the impression from his Instagram he had 'recovered' and that was the reason for the reunion and charity concert but I just saw on their Wikipedia page he's actually got an inoperable Stage 4 tumor and I feel pretty sad now? :( )

But she LITERALLY made a documentary about how much it affected her when people trolled her online. She ATTEMPTED SUICIDE because of it. She LEFT Little Mix because of it. It is absolutely not acceptable for anyone to get abuse online but considering how much it has impacted Jesy's personal life, health and career it is very odd to see her make her even more of a target with these solo career decisions. She's now getting more abuse and memes made about her than she ever did in Little Mix. I don't think she 'should' flop because of other people. Obviously I don't know Jesy and don't know what makes her happy but from what she has openly admitted to the public and sort of became 'known for is that she struggles with fame, attention and people commenting on her and knowing how much controversy she's in now with the blackfishing, Nicki Minaj stuff and the coldness she's had with speaking about Little Mix it does make me worry that she's going to take all this stuff very personally again. 'd have been more than happy if she left Little Mix to have a quiet, private life or do something more low key because at least she would have been safe from the public eye and wouldn't have been made fun of all over social media like this. It is awkward and uncomfortable to witness. You want her to do well of course but some stuff she does deserve to be called out for and asked about, but the problem is that she takes it personally and misinterprets it as 'trolling' and 'abuse'.

I sorta just want this to hurry up and flop already so she can get out of the music/showbiz industry. She's turning into a joke and getting more and more memes/criticism directed towards her than her entire career in Little Mix. It's a bit uncomfortable to watch.

I'm going to sound really old and grumpy here but watching Jade's interviews on Capital and Heart have made me realise how...desperate and annoying they are to be attached to the girls and use them for content. :lol: The Heart presenters literally giving Jade babygrows with Heart FM on them and badgering her to open it and 'say what it is' about 3 times and then Capital making her a Lady....bleurgh. Just all so fake and kiss ass. :lol:

I mean, their die hard fans on these forums aren't even streaming the song (I've played it maybe 5 times since I heard it) so I don't know what hope there is that casual fans would bother. Everyone who's in the mood to listen to Little Mix are probably still just searching their name on Spotify/Apple/YouTube and playing Heartbreak Anthem, Sweet Melody, Confetti or Kiss My (Uh Oh) instead as they're still pretty 'fresh' and better songs. It's been said many times - it's just too much releases in a short space of time. Nobody could get away with it. And it's TECHNICALLY their first proper new song as a 3 piece but again, to the casual fans it looked like Confetti was the first release and that was months ago.
