It must be so frustrating to write, produce and record a song then spend so much time/money doing a video for it and to watch it flop completely. I know that happens to the majority of musicians anyway but they must be shocked to see it doing so badly. I wouldn't be surprised if they ditch it for the tour.

Sarah Harding
I have to say I'm finding the conversations about a reunion and tribute concert for Sarah over on Popjustice very tacky and insensitive. I get the fact it would be lovely to see but it's not really fair to expect the other 4 girls to do something like that. I feel like there's some very weird, messed up thirst to see the girls on stage crying their eyes out and it makes me pretty uncomfortable. It was bad enough watching GRL perform after Simone died. The other girls don't owe the public anything and I'd be fine if they never performed as Girls Aloud ever again. I'd HATE to be in the public eye and be grieving for my friend and then come online and read all this fan fiction and requests for tribute shows/charity singles. (Again, I would like to clarify that if there was some sort of concert or event to tribute her then that's absolutely amazing but I can't believe people are practically talking about setlists/holograms/the other girls covering her lines etc already!)

Jesy Nelson - Boyz (feat. Nicki Minaj) • 8th October 2021
I feel like this release is really dragging out.

Girls Aloud • General Discussion
I've just listened to 'See The Day' for the first time in my life and was expecting it to be absolutely horrible by the way it gets slandered by the fanbase but I think I sort of love it. :o Probably my favourite ballad of theirs I've heard??

So there's a passport in Scotland but not England? I'm moving to England if that's the case.

Woman Like Me was sent to Todays Top Hits and more Spotify playlists plus had tons of TV promo and Nicki Minaj featuring (plus the EMAs) and was an amazing video. If you're all over Spotify playlists in different countries and doing lots of regional TV it's going to translate to YouTube views easier I guess. Nothing since then has had the same exposure.

The Saturdays
It's really embarrassing they were six years into the game at this point. The fact that they just drop in and out of choreography whenever they can be arsed (and even then it's sloppy and out of sync), the lack of energy and a member missing while they half-sing half-mime to the track just sums them up their commitment from On Your Radar onwards.

Little Mix • Off-Topic Chat
Where did Jesy's thread go? Nicki Tweeted she's pulled out of the VMA's so I wonder if Jesy actually was performing there? Since she's in LA?

People whining about Holiday's chart performance are insane. A Gold selling top 15 hit is nothing to be laughed at. Bounce Back also at least went top 10 and crawled to Silver. I'm surprised this is flopping THAT bad but again, who cares? One I've Been Missing missed the top 40 completely and a year later they had Sweet Melody lol.

Coronavirus Discussion
Thing is with these vaccine passports is that they aren't even going to be checked. Some of my friends and a guy I used to date are extreme ant-vaxxers and are constantly bragging on Facebook about how there's an exact replica of the NHS app on their phones that shows they've had a vaccine when they haven't and they've used it everywhere they've been asked for it without a problem. What's the point introducing these measures if they can be easily faked? And I actually hate the idea of them anyway. You just know they'll be extended to cafes, cinemas, supermarkets etc like Israel and France too...

The Wanted - Most Wanted: The Greatest Hits
That's a different argument though. People have been acting like they were seriously saying Rihanna had a distinctive walk all these years when anyone who's listened to the lyrics and watched the video knows it's a pisstake.
-
The Wanted - Most Wanted: The Greatest Hits
''Walks Like Rihanna' as a title is supposed to be tongue in cheek. She obviously doesn't have a famous walk. It was about how record labels don't care about talent - 'she can't sing, she can't dance, but who cares' - and how desperate the marketing can be to sell someone to the GP.

The Saturdays
So now The Wanted are back together too... COME ON GIRLS.

Love (Sweet Love) • 3rd September 2021
Honestly it's probably going to be one of their biggest flops but I doubt it will harm them. They've had so many hits this year that this one will be quickly forgotten, then they can go on tour next year and come back with a better song and start fresh again.

Sarah Harding
They had about 20 hit singles so I guess it's just a case of everyone listening to them as a collection instead of looking out for and streaming one song.

The Saturdays
Honestly as much as these girls are the butt of jokes for their messy performances and lack of sales, it was REALLY brave for a girl group to make a dance album and release stuff like All Fired Up and Not Giving Up. Seriously. They absolutely nailed that sound and it's a shame it completely flopped for them.

Jesy Nelson - Boyz (feat. Nicki Minaj) • 8th October 2021
Oh yeah don't get me wrong, if it is indeed about Jesy's song then that is extremely exciting as I haven't heard Nicki big up one of her features that much before. As I said I don't follow Nicki's career so if she doesn't have other features coming up then it probably is Jesy's!

Jesy Nelson - Boyz (feat. Nicki Minaj) • 8th October 2021
Somehow I can't see Nicki being that excited about featuring on a UK debut single where she doesn't even have a filmed scene with the artist. She's probably talking about something solo or whatever - I don't really follow her career but surely she wouldn't be that hyped for Jesy Nelson's single??

Sarah and Nadine visiting the temple in China was absolutely hilarious. Has anyone been able to listen to I'll Stand By You yet?

Sarah Harding
I remember thinking she came across SO WELL on Off The Record. Just full of fun and life - the one you want to party with the most. She always seemed to appreciate every aspect of her career and seemed like such a nice person. I'm going to try listen to The Promise now. RIP Sarah Harding. EDIT - Oh God, when it's updated on Wikipedia it feels real. :'(

Pussycat Dolls Reunion
Jeez she wanted 75% of the tour ticket sales AND complete creative control over the music????

Finally got my first jab. Such a relief to know I've finally done it. The drop in at Glasgow was packed which was encouraging because it meant I could see tons of other people getting their jabs and walking out fine. Now I'm just home and sitting awkwardly watching the clock waiting to see if any side effects kick in. I did feel like I was going to pass out when I left the centre (mostly anxiety) and tonight is probably going to be rough mentally but jeez, it's so nice to say I finally done one.

Love (Sweet Love) • 3rd September 2021
Sweet Melody and No Time For Tears peaked in January. Look since 2020 started they’ve had Break Up Song and Holiday which were hits, then The Search (on BBC One for a month), No Time for Tears and Sweet Melody, Jesy leaving (and being a huge media story), then there was the Brit Awards win, Confetti, Heartbreak Anthem, Kiss My and two members giving birth (again big news stories) and a few weeks later there’s a new single out again. They’re adored by the public but it’s definitely overkill. They could have done without the Anne-Marie collab and would have benefited from more time after Heartbreak Anthem as well. They haven’t given people a chance to miss them and crave new music because they’ve been EVERYWHERE for a year.

Love (Sweet Love) • 3rd September 2021
This is what I've been saying too. I think if they hadn't already given us a full album, a remixed single from that album, two dance collabs and another pop collab in the last 10 months then this would feel more 'fresh' and 'exciting' but because we've been absolutely fed with material (most of it being their best ever work) it means this is going to have to be phenomenal to live up to everything else and stand out but I feel like people will still listen to think and just go back to streaming Heartbreak Anthem instead.

Love (Sweet Love) • 3rd September 2021
I feel like this is one of the few times where they're more concerned about pushing the album/getting a number 1 with that than focusing on the single. I can't see there being any sort of promo for this whatsoever.
