Anyone know how quickly the virus shows up in tests? I got back from London yesterday and tonight I feel a bit rubbish (bit of a cough, general fatigue and slight breathlessness) but I tested negative on the home tests yesterday and today. I ordered a PCR test just to be sure but I can't seem to actually find any guidance online as to how quickly it would show up and if testing at this stage is pointless or not?

It's a bit of a shame it didn't really take off worldwide.

Could this actually end up being a hit? Her numbers globally aren't a complete disaster, I mean, they're not showing signs of a potential hit YET but it does seem to have climbed a bit since I last checked?

I can definitely see this being a big hit. I'm predicting number 4 and another Platinum in the bag for the girls. (Although it does feel more of a Little Mix song with Anne-Marie featuring in the video for 'lols' than an actual collab between them. I swear Little Mix have all the ad-libs and the longer part of the verses?....and the chorus seems like just Perrie?)

So we've dropped about 42% in daily cases since last week and currently just over 29K positive tests were recorded in the UK yesterday which means they're absolutely free falling. :) It seems to be either the Euros had a bigger impact that we expected and this is the cases tailing off from then or it's schools closing. I'd like to think it's herd immunity at this point but the drops are really steep and I always imagined that would be a slower, gradual decline. Either way it's really exciting to watch and I just hope this trend continues and they don't fly up again in the next few days.

I like the song and the video is fun but musically it's very odd to have a female solo singer featuring a girl group on a track. It's clearly because they're friends and because Anne-Marie needs a hit but otherwise it's messy and it seems more of a Little Mix track than hers. Anyways I've just realized how different Jade looks in every music video lately. :lol: She always switches it up for the videos.

What the f*** is this song and video combination? For someone who screamed 'next big thing' back during Havana/Never Be The Same it's an absolute shambles that she's ended up releasing this crap only a few years later. I actually can't believe the drop in visuals, song quality and general buzz around her and this release right now. Why are all her music videos the same? I swear she's done this 'movie' filter and setting with about three other music videos so far. Why is her styling so terrible in every scene? Why is the song so bad? Jeez. What a waste. I remember seeing her sing NBTS on Jimmy Fallon the same week she hit number 1 with her single and album and everyone was genuinely convinced she'd be a superstar. I'm embarrassed for her.

I like it and added it to my playlist but I felt like 'Motivation' was way more an actual moment and seemed more true to who Normani is and what sort of artist she should be. This is a bit TOO laid back and I can't really see it being a hit.

I doubt there'll be another lockdown. The vaccine has changed it from being the main concern being death and hospital admissions to now everyone having to isolate constantly and thus most businesses and NHS being hit for that reason. There would be zero compliance with another lockdown.

I think they could have waited AT LEAST a few weeks to open nightclubs and stop some rules but I can sorta see the logic in them trying to let the virus burn through as many hosts as possible in the summer so there's less pressure on the NHS in the winter? There's absolutely no reason to stop mandating masks or social distancing though. None at all. As I said in the other thread the fact Scotland (and some of Wales) have been dropping in cases and hospital admissions this month is encouraging for England who seem to be a few weeks behind with effects from the Delta variant.
