Scream at an album track being more of a hit than Word Up, One I've Been Missing and (I'm assuming soon to be) Bounce Back.

They definitely do way better on Apple/Amazon/iTunes than they do on Spotify. It's pretty weird how they always lag behind on Spotify with their singles, even Sweet Melody didn't get that high did it?

Girls Aloud had 21 top ten singles. Heartbreak Anthem is set to be Little Mix's 17th. I wonder if they'll ever beat that record?

The structure is the only thing that stops this from being amazing for me. It only has two choruses which is like the biggest crime in pop music. :( A middle 8 and then a final chorus with stupidly over the top, dramatic ad-libs would have been amazing. It's the same problem as Gloves Up. You get one chorus, then another verse and a second chorus and then the song ends and you're like WTF?

Apparently Olivia's entire album is still ahead of it too?

Problem is trying to 'launch' them in the US with Jesy still on the track and video. Anyways I found it interesting that the girls wrote this. I was always under the impression that the producer also writes the song and then reaches out to artists to demo the track? And considering it seems like they wrote it back in the summer/autumn as a 3 piece (on Leigh's documentary) they must have known Jesy was leaving for ages.

Tbh I would love any sort of hit at this point. :lol: I think they deserve that ONE smash in America after the work they've put into breaking that market over the years. I doubt the song will do much (I'd be surprised if it even broke the Hot 100) but it's their biggest chance since Woman Like Me and probably their last ever chance of getting a hit so I'm rooting for it.

Those 3 seconds of the huge backing chant of 'HEARTBREAK' on the chorus take this song to the next level.

Surely that's a record (not that it means much with iTunes) in terms of how many number 1's they had on that chart? Wings, Black Magic, Shout Out, Reggeaton Lento, Woman Like Me, Bounce Back, Break Up Song, Holiday, Sweet Melody, Confetti, Heartbreak Anthem = 11?

It's a bop but for f*** sake WHY does it have only two choruses? It suffers from the EXACT same problem that Gloves Up has. There should be a middle 8 and then a huge final chorus with big ad-libs, where is it? Why does it end so suddenly? I mean, the video is cute and the song is a - basic - bop but this is a real annoyance in pop music. I realised by the 2 minute mark that there was only time for one more chorus and it pissed me off. Anyone else agree?

I was expecting that to be really cringey and desperate but all three of them were hilarious. I remember Jade went to the Work and Greatest Hits tour so it's nice to know that The Sats were somewhat of an inspiration to them as well.

Seeing how well their vocals have developed over the years makes me wish we could get an updated performance of 'Move' one day. We haven't saw that performed since like 2018 have we?

All the girls sound amazing but Perrie is just....out of this world. No hyperbole but I genuinely think if she ever had a solo career she'd be considered on the same level as Adele (who she's better than anyway, but in the eyes of the GP she's the only 'real singer' in Britain) and Christina/Leona. The Honest Vocal Coach reacted to that performance and said she thinks these girls are the best girl group vocalists ever and I agree with her. HOW do they do it? The timing, the harmonies, the chemistry, the transitions....just PERFECT?

Hmm. I do love Leigh and won't ever doubt that she's genuinely suffering from being known as 'the black one' and there was definitely those microaggressions in the X-Factor/DNA eras in terms of her styling but that segment with Emma Willis where they picked 3 fans to choose a favourite was a reach. In that case someone is always going to miss out if there's 4 girls and 3 fans. I've already saw people pointing that out on social media and it's pretty fair.
