Really puzzled as to why this is underperforming so much. What exactly does it take to get a hit these days? This song is so fresh and exciting and the video is fantastic, Jade is a well established name in the pop scene and it’s getting decent airplay. What the f*** does it take??

When are the physicals out?

It's a fairly big budget video (a 4 day shoot) and the song is incredible so I don't think it's unrealistic to think her and her team were hoping for a big chart hit with it. It's not some low key affair after all. This is why I HATE the streaming era. If this was the 00's we'd have Jade performing the song on every TV show going and she'd probably have went to number 1 and stuck around for a while but these days a song is pretty much done for if it's not on Spotify playlists.

I really want this to smash and while it's obviously going to be the biggest Little Mix solo single by a considerable margin I was still getting my hopes up when it was number 2 in the early midweeks last week and thought maybe, just maybe, this was going to be a huge smash with a potential number 1 in the bag. :lol: It's just such a f***ing good song and Little Mix are way too talented to have none of them getting a well deserved big hit single. Come onnnnnnnn Jade.

I took the blonde straight haired Jade to be the ‘diva’ Jade who got replaced and the 2nd verse is her yelling at her manager and being a diva and demanding and being angry she got replaced, then she returns with the steel chair to attack the red haired Jade. The angel wing Jade is the one who started off busking then ran out of the car and away from Simon because she didn’t want to flirt with men to boost her career. She then watches the other two Jades from the window at the studio.

Manifesting a 'Sweet Melody' style fan campaign next week with mass iTunes downloads, physical purchases and streaming parties to get this to number 1.

I guess he's salty that the song underperformed and is blaming Little Mix/Christmas on it instead of just admitting that it's a pretty average song and a wasted opportunity for a Little Mix collab.

I think a top 3 debut is more impressive than just dropping physicals in the second week to avoid a huge drop. She should have had physicals out asap and thrown everything into the first week. It’s hardly ‘longevity’ if a 2nd week is artifically bumped by stans and then it plummets the 3rd week.

She NEEDS to drop physicals.

Ahh I had to stop watching as it made me cringe with people constantly interrupting her and yelling stuff. Let her speak!

God what a depressingly dull list of songs. Cannot believe this is what 3/4 members of a group who released stuff like Touch, Sweet Melody, Move, Happiness etc are releasing. :(

Uh. Sampling a very popular song, having P Diddy make a cameo in the video and having Nicki Minaj featuring on the track is hardly playing it safe? If anything that's the most desperate way of 'guaranteeing' an easy hit....which she still failed to do. Please stop trying to shoehorn that blackfisher into these conversations.

How did this only go in at number 20 when she had an album signing here this week? Were streams that bad??

I never would have predicted Leigh to do better than Perrie with the 2nd single. Leigh went top 40 at least! Again I just blame the material for Perrie flopping. She is really popular and has insane talent and there was some genuine buzz when she started previewing Forget About Us on Tik Tok but the songs are just so f***ing boring. Something like Secret Love Song or No Time For Tears/Heartbreak Anthem would have been an easy smash for her.

People do too much about Camila. 'Dream Girls' is lodged in my brain today. Rest of the tracks are....fine so far. I HATE interludes though.

How though? Syco were fantastic business wise with them - on all the major TV shows (X-Factor multiple times including the finale 3 times, Britains Got Talent finale, Graham Norton, Alan Carr, One Love Manchester), playlisting on all the radio stations, collaborations with the likes of Nicki Minaj and Jason Derulo and had them performing at the Brit Awards twice under them (although not sure if the Brits are in charge of that or not). They may have a nightmare behind the scenes but let's not forget when Little Mix left Syco and went to RCA they were releasing trash like Bounce Back and One I've Been Missing and were at their lowest point commercially...

I hate the music industry in 2024. Pop music used to be so exciting with artists performing their new single EVERYWHERE for weeks and weeks and doing CD signings, all sorts of random TV appearances, in every magazine and newspaper and really being in your face 24/7 and now it's just weeks and weeks (months?) of constant teasing on social media followed by a Radio 1 and Capital interview and that's it.

I saw someone describe it as ABBA sounding and I totally agree with that. It really did give me big pop vibes.

The song takes wayyyy too long to get going. The verses are so wordy and clunky and then the beat doesn't start for ages.

I love all the viral videos of Cheryl and Nadine interacting. They have such a fascinating dynamic together.
