Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 13/02/26
Given Sam Fender hasn’t had a number one yet and it is unlikely we will see a chart run like Rein Me In has had again, I am all for Sam getting it this week. If it could then decline three weeks in a row and drop out the top 20, that would be swell.

2026 BPI Certifications
It’s updated now. Peppa Pig gets her third certified hit with Bing Bong Zoo.
-
Olivia Dean - Man I Need
I am seeing the Grammy performance all over socials. Feels like the buzz around Olivia hasn’t peaked yet. Hopefully will get US #1, but wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a Levitating style long running hit which never gets to the top.

Friday Chart Predictions
Looking forward to the breakdown of format sales in Alan Jones sales report at the end of the week. 👀

Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 23/01/26
Here’s hoping The Hardest Part can take the third chart position available for Olivia this week. Definitely her best song for me and feels mad it has not charted at all despite being a platinum certified single.

Harry Styles - Aperture
This definitely feels like a bold choice for lead single. Very curious how the rest of the album will sound after Aperture.

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 16th January 2026
Love that Official Charts are bigging the song up on socials, with the suggestion it could chart tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing VB smash in at #87 on the downloads only chart…

Robbie brings forward BRITPOP release to today- can he get the record?
Definitely makes sense to capitalise on a quiet week if they had the physical release ready to go. Looking forward to seeing how this does. Sounding good on first listen and certainly tapping the britpop revival of late - in particular All My Life.

Artists who've had the most weeks with a full 3 tracks?
I don’t have any lists but Lana Del Rey springs to mind. Her 2021 and 2023 albums each got 3 charted tracks outside the top 40 on release week.

2026 BPI Certifications
Good to see Shayne Ward getting another certification and Pixie Lott's Boys & Girls finally scraping gold.

Agnes - BEAUTIFUL MADNESS
WAKE UP is another win for me. Album is shaping up to be pretty strong. Six interludes does seem unnecessary though.

US Hot 100 – 1/3/2026
Kylie appearing on the bubbling under chart.

The BuzzJack Chart of the Year 2025 Thread: 26th December 2025
Here we gooooo. Glad we are starting with a hit established in 2025 instead of an old song.

Leona Lewis - One More Sleep
A good showing on Spotify yesterday. Bank in the global chart at #106 with 2,374,678 streams. Winter Wonderland and I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday have also shown up in some European top 200 charts.
-
Leona Lewis - TBA
Looking forward to it. Been far too long since we got an album and an especially dry year for Leona fans. First year we haven't had any new music whatsoever (bar a teaser in one of her 'everything's a ballad' series) since she debuted in 2006!

Top 100 Most Streamed Songs Of The 70s/80s/90s in the UK in 2025
I am guessing the omissions are down to the tracks not being singles, so their only release came after downloads were available. On the BPI site, Let Down has a 2007 release date and Lover You Should Come Over has 2004. Then again, The Chain was also not available to purchase before downloads and that is counted, so who knows.

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 19th/26th December 2025
Says it all that the most exciting release of the week (for me at least) is a remix of a 2007 single.

Top 100 Singles + Albums; W/E 18/12/25
Beautiful Things looking set to drop out next week before it can hit 100 unbroken weeks in the chart.

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 28th November 2025
It’s more new people downloading rather than streaming that gets me. Would have thought the market was mainly those who used to download whilst it was the most popular format.

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 28th November 2025
I know sales aren’t high on iTunes now, but still baffles me who at this point is only now downloading wham, Pogues and Mariah.

Kehlani - Folded
I am loving the version featuring Toni Braxton right now. So nice to hear this kind of R&B doing well.

Friday Chart Predictions
Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band ‘Sing’ EP is the last I can recall which reached #1, though that was a charity release so a bit different. Also had 7 tracks.
-
New Zealand (Aotearoa) Chart Thread - 2025
I make that 8/12 tracks from The Art Of Loving top 40. Can’t imagine there are many other examples for this kind, of an album dominating the charts outside of a release week. Also yes to Raye climbing still.
