What a random tune from The Little Mermaid to get certified (Alan Menken - Bedtime). Didn't realise it was a big streamer. So pleased Primadonna has finally gone Platinum. :cheer:

Didn’t even realise The Weeknd had released a deluxe version of the highlights. It will never leave at this point. :drama: Great result for The Last Dinner Party.

Not sure if it is more due to the song choices played today, but this chart is sounding very stale. Fingers crossed for a good ACR clear out.

I know it is cheesy AF but I love this track.

Love to see Ain’t Your Mama above some more established hits. Deserved better at the time it came out.

I suspect Taylor’s next release will beat The Weeknd this time given it is an album of new material released early in the year, so has time to build up streams. I agree greatest hits getting streams from singles across multiple album eras is giving them an unfair advantage and hopefully gets addressed at some point. Artists and labels always find a way round these things though, so not sure any one rule change would stop the trend we are seeing.

As an album of all new material with time for pre-orders to build, I would be surprised if this didn’t scrape 100k. As for overexposed, it does feel like she has been unavoidable since 2022 as a chart follower. I get the comments that the general public may not feel it quite so much though. Cruel Summer sticking around the top 10 for so long hasn’t helped, though I can’t blame Taylor for that.

Could certainly see some Bob Marley back in the chart with the biopic film out soon. Interesting to see if more artists pick up the reggae influence again.

Would love to see ice cream man get a performance personally but might not gel with escapism etc in a medley. Time will tell. Prada really does need to do one at this point. Good stability for Ariana after all. Who would have guessed. :P

I went for Skepta, Justin, Good Neighbours and the Loser, Baby song. That Nicki track is such a mess, although got to admire a spoken word outro.

+12 The Last Dinner Party - Nothing Matters - love  +10 Ella Henderson - Alibi (feat. Rudimental) - good +08 Noah Kahan - Homesick (w/ Sam Fender / solo) +07 Ariana Grande - yes, and? +06 Kygo and Ava Max - Whatever - ok +05 Benson Boone - Beautiful Things +04 Becky Hill and Sonny Fodera - Never Be Alone +03 Lost Frequencies and Bastille - Head Down +02 The Cast Of Wonka - You've Never Had Chocolate Like This +01 21 Savage - redrum - needs to be a good minute+ shorter

I was about to say I had no idea this show was having such an impact to get chart hits.

Oh Justin. That was so unnecessary. :(

Just Noah/Sam and Benson this week. A lot of ‘meh’ songs this week. The Thank You dance version was awful. Dido deserves better.

I see Britney has said she loves the song in a supportive message for Justin on instagram. Hopefully that will calm things down a bit. Really hope Justin has some uk promo planned. Without it, I can’t see this or the album making much of a dent here. Playlisting on Spotify too, but appreciate that will be more of an uphill struggle for Justin to secure.

Alessandra - Queen Of Kings Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red Jonas Brothers - Waffle House Link in Park - Lost

Great news about I Got You! Didn’t have to wait long after all. That’s 10 certified singles now. :cheer: Probably be a while before we see an 11th, though I hope we do get some surprise certifications as the year goes on.

So bored of Cruel Summer at this point. ACR needs to do its magic here. Prada too.

If this is trying to compare ‘yes, and’s performance against J Christ, they are hardly comparable in terms of chart performance. Bit of a dull release week IMO. Will be interesting to see how Justin ends up doing.

What a climb for Sophie Ellis-Bextor! :cheer:

The film it is getting the benefit from is only in cinemas currently and not on streaming (as far as I am aware). If it is doing this well off of cinema visits, then I expect a bigger surge when the film is more widely available like Saltburn. Would love to see Unwritten get a new peak in the top 5. Rooting for The Last Dinner Party to scrape top 40 this week. Hopefully there is a radio edit available.

Definitely sounds promising. Looking forward to the full studio version.

To be fair, the song is a bit crap (by Becky’s standards). :P On a more serious note, I have no doubt it will climb again in future as it gets added to more playlists so wouldn’t panic just yet.

Here I was thinking January would be a pretty sleepy month with low streams. Even Greedy doing 300k+ a day at this point is pretty impressive. Noah still climbing with Stick Season feels mad. Would be surprised if he doesn't get a BRIT Awards performance in like Olivia did after Drivers Licence blew up.
