GTH

:puke2: Our first 2023 release on the list and it had to be this.

Yeah, I made the same mistake lol. Very happy to see the MOTD revival. Been too long since Sophie EB was in the charts.

I am hoping we get new Leona this year. It’s been 8 years since her last studio album and with the recent tour, hopefully this will lead to more activity on her front.

Cher just made it! :cheer:

Perfect Day being my favourite here. I hope one day they figure something out to get it on streaming/available to download.

Pretty sure I heard Black Coffee being used in the Doctor Who episode too.

Kiss Me, It’s Christmas now up to 112 on Spotify! Exciting stuff!

Agreed. There seems to be more discussion around this track, no doubt helped by the promotion Sam has done and publicity from the Xmas number one race. Playlisting will be an issue, but has been given to previous Amazon exclusives before (not prominent placing mind). Seeing Kiss Me It’s Christmas turn up is a pleasant surprise! Only seen it on one Spotify Christmas playlist so didn’t have any expectations for it this year. Hopefully can scrape another week in the chart.

Week 49 2 x Sabrina Carpenter Week 50 Cher (love this -_- ) Tate Nicki - Needle Nicki - pink Friday Girls Week 51 Juice/Eminen/Benny

Might have been this price earlier in the week but just seen Sam’s track on Amazon is 69p. Given him a download. Hopefully a top 2 finish is still possible.

Can’t say this is definitely why but itv are still advertising their ‘audience with Kylie’ show being available to watch on demand loads.

Which is fair, although we know Spotify don’t really care about that ideal. In this case, they just replaced Kylie with Madonna which makes little sense when Kylie’s is the established hit cover of the two.

Until Spotify’s main playlists become less USA focused, it is only going to get worse sadly. You can see on Apple the difference having a decent playlist position can do for OMS. I am just glad she is still on the Spotify playlists unlike some other casualties like Kylie’s Santa Baby. Hoping we get a sales update today to see where Sam and Noah are.

Cozy Little Christmas is the only example I can think of which charted relatively well the following year when it was made available everywhere. Not sure how it charted (if at all) the years after, but I feel most people would not associate it with Amazon now unlike River.

Went with Dua and Tate. Not keen on the Skeptacore track.

+12: Noah Kahan - Stick Season +10: Troye Sivan - One Of Your Girls +8: Charli XCX and Sam Smith - In The City +7: JENNIE - You & Me +6: Drake - Rich Baby Daddy (feat. Sexyy Red and SZA) - if they made an edit removing the last minute, this would be higher +5: Jung Kook - 3D (feat. Jack Harlow) +4: Jones, D.O.D and Ina Wroldsen - Won't Forget You +3: Joel Corry - Hey DJ +2: Pinkpantheress - Mosquito +1: Jorja Smith - Feelings (feat. J Hus)

It is also being used in a make up commercial which Elton appears in. Seeing the advert loads at the moment.

I went for NTWDT, This Is Halloween (classic) + Now & Then for week 44. Just Jung Kook week 45.

I went last night in Cardiff. The show was fun and Simon is correct on theme. However, Leona was fighting a cold and had to cut the set short (only a couple songs fortunately) as she was clearly struggling. Hopefully with some rest she will be fine but suspect the next few shows might have to be cancelled/rescheduled again.

Glad to see Ouch higher than some of the better peaking singles. ‘My name’s Shaniqua and wot’ will always be an iconic lyric.

I went for Stormzy/Raye, Zayn and Ava. I like the other Barbie tracks and Beabadoobee one, but not enough to go out of my way to listen to them.

Desire sounds big! Can definitely see this as another big hit after Miracle’s success.

Liked almost all the new entries this week. Only ones I didn’t care for were Fredo and the Rave Out song.

What a climb for Billie! Barbie soundtrack absolutely smashing it.

Whoever said this would be like the Easy A song, you were right. This is such a hot mess, but I have had ‘manjobi manjobi manjobiiii’ in my head all day.
