GTH

This is no Hold Me Closer… Definitely see why it didn’t make the cut for Britney Jean.

I went for Enchanted, Moonlight and Super Shy. Hoping Moonlight can make some good gains in the coming weeks.

+12 Peggy Gou - (It Goes Like) Nanana - clear stand out of the month  +10 Nathan Dawe, Joel Corry and Ella Henderson - 0800 HEAVEN +8 Dua Lipa - Dance The Night +7 The Weeknd, Playboi Carti and Madonna - Popular +6 Hannah Laing and RoRo - Good Love +5 Leigh-Anne - Don't Say Love +4 Jain - Makeba +3 Taylor Swift - Hits Different +2 Dave and Central Cee - Trojan Horse +1 Dave and Central Cee - Sprinter

The album is very forgettable. Not much leaving an impression which is a real shame.

To be fair, I know a number of die hard Swifties that still rave about Folklore as the best thing since sliced bread. It definitely feels like there are different camps in the fan base, but that is credit to Taylor being able to pull off different styles and have clearly defined album eras.

Haven’t heard Cold Heart (bar Elton’s Glasto set) in a while and it sounds glorious again.

:o That chart run for Relax My Eyes already. Glad it has made top 40 after all of that. Nice funky surprise.

Tbf, Mine was the only uk chart hit from the album first time round, so will have a nostalgia boost and does have its fans (including me). I suspect it will fall behind Enchanted by next week but to get the numbers it has so far shows there is specific interest boosting it rather than just relying on people playing the album off shuffle.

Glad to finally put a name to the Makeba song which has been on that viral SNL video of the dancing guy. I went with that & Venbee/Rudimental for week 26. Olivia and Charli made up my week 2. Tempted with Stormzy but was bored before Fredo even got started. Same for Parade On Cleveland - actually liked Drake's bit and then it went downhill fast.

I take it the Claire Richard’s song is a Celine Dion cover?

Went for Leigh-Anne, Peggy, Doja, Asake and Doechii - the latter sounds like it could be huge if given the right playlist support.

Sadly not. Don’t think Kelly has done any type of promo here for the album, so not surprised at the performance. I think Kelly is beyond the point of caring about international success with new music.

We love to see those drops for Calm Down, Green Green Grass and Whistle. :cheer: Shame to see Leigh-Anne’s though. :nocheer:

0800 Heaven, BTS, Sam/Madonna and Noah get my vote - Dial Drunk being the only one I hadn’t heard before the poll. Pleasant surprise. The best was alright on the J Hus/Fredo tracks but both got boring after the first minute for me.

Come on Kylie! :cheer:

Shame to see how this has performed. Was at least expecting enough interest to scrape a top 100 position.

Shania, Kylie and Madonna all being top 40 in 2023 was not on my bingo list, let alone in the same week. So ecstatic to see this happen, even if 2/3 were relying on features to make it.

+12 Padam Padam +10 Tattoo +8 Cha Cha Cha +7 Meltdown +6 Queen Of Kings +5 Say Yes To Heaven +4 LosT +3 Curtains +2 Satellite +1 The Alcott Actually like all of these, though the bottom 5 I wouldn’t choose to listen to outside of their albums/a playlist.

Very strong follow up to Queen Of Kings. Hope this does something for Alessandra.

A lot of stuff just not to my taste here. Haven’t seen the new Spider Man film which would have probably helped with the Metro tracks. That Bou song also just feels like a cash in attempt based on the interest in React and the original sample. Went with Taylor, Due and Hannah Laing week 22. Burns Boy, Weeknd & Stray Kids week 2. Tempted with Foo Fighters and Dominic, but realistically won’t listen to either again outside of the charts.

A decent climb for Unhealthy. Not a big fan of the song, but would love to see this go top 40 if only for Shania's sake. Would be quite the sight to see Kylie, Madonna and Shania all top 40 in 2023.

These Tina compilations have been all over the place these past three weeks. Shame these have dropped so quickly. Frustrating position for Louise.

I am just hoping this outpeaks Into The Blue.

This! Next weeks top 4 is looking set to be :puke2: It is nice to see high numbers at the top still. I just wish it was coming from some other songs/acts.

I am glad it is increased marginally, but if other songs (namely the Dave/Central Cee EP) are pushing it further away from top 50 Spotify & top 10 Apple then yeah, wrong direction. Here's hoping the streams keep picking up though so it can overtake some of those currently in front.
