  1. Looks like One More Sleep made it to the 1.2 million mark after all! Certified 2 x Platinum 31.12.2021. :cheer:
  2. Never expected the Bruno song to blow up like it has. Crazy this looks like it will peak higher than Let It Go! Very pleased of course.
  3. Fingers crossed. Had barely passed the 300k mark as of August 2018 so unless it gets picked up by Tik Tok or something, we got a long wait ahead of us. @diva - Bleeding Love has been a real consistent streaming hit the last few years. Was just under 95 million by the end of 2016 so the vast majority have come from the last 5 years alone.
  4. Same here, doesn't sound dated at all to me and is such a positive song. Always pleased to see it has been remembered well and continues to stream well.
  5. Happy New Year everyone! As it has been another quiet year (bar the last month), I wanted to share this year's update. Same format as before. This year we got three new tracks; two from the 'Christmas, With Love' repackage and one from the Diane Warren collaborations album (I also believe You Bring Me Down was made available to stream in the last year, though it could have been up sooner and I didn't spot this - one one of the 3 hidden version of Spirit available in the UK). Let's see where they ended up. Its total did increase by an extra 2 million on last year still, so if it increases like this again next year, it should be able to overtake it. - A big boost in Walking On Sunshine's streams (more than double last year's numbers). The other two tracks from the soundtrack Leona plays a big part on had declines this year though, so it looks more likely this was to do with its high placement on the 'This is Leona Lewis' playlist. If anyone knows any other reason for the surge, would love to hear it. - Despite Happy's drop, it did actually increase in streams. Collide just happened to increase even more! - Overall streams were down on the previous year, not that this is very surprising. Hopefully we will get some new material sooner in 2022 to increase interest. LL#6 if we're lucky.

I have been listening to this loads throughout December, a great follow up to Hero. Wish it was a bit longer still, particularly the end part after all the build up.
  7. I'll take it!! Glad it managed to sneak in a week. Great to see One More Sleep crack the top 20 again too. OMS made a big jump on the Dutch charts and now has a peak of 58. The previous peak was 97. :cheer:

There was talk of a 5th single from the album in the New Year. Obviously won’t do anything chart wise, but if it gets radio support, I don’t see no reason it can’t keep the album selling over the next few months.
  9. Because Boris is a sausage roll (clean edit) all year round, not just for Christmas. All here for Love Grows being a random hit in 2022. Prefer it to a number of the Tik Tok hits from the past year.
  10. Cold Heart dominating the AUS and NZ charts. We love to see it. Just needs a US top 10 peak now.
  11. Same, been in my head for weeks. The clear stand out for me from a stellar soundtrack. Glad it is now getting some decent attention.
  12. I am expecting the soundtrack to have around the same, if not a little less impact than the Moana soundtrack. It is another Lin Manuel Miranda soundtrack (Hamilton guy) like Moana was. 3 out of the 9 songs are in Spanish, so that won’t help with a UK audience not very receptive to songs that aren’t in English.
  13. Encanto taking over. Not much else of interest at present.
  14. The OCC haven’t got a vendetta against Mr Brightside to justify such action. If they did, they would have brought in a rule ages ago to stop it clogging up the top 75-100. Besides, they can only grant what labels request so there is a limit to how many they can reset anyway (and must have a solid case to do so).
  15. Oops, good spot. Yes, fingers crossed its improvements this year are reflected in next year's playlists positions early on.
  16. Here for We Don't Talk About Bruno being a hit. The clear stand out (English language) song from Encanto.
  17. Doesn't look like KMIC managed to scrape top 200 n the UK. Loads of random Christmas tracks making it that I have never heard of, but KMIC didn't get the 100k+ necessary to break the top 200. Really competitive year based on those numbers. In better news, OMS is #48 on global Spotify for yesterday with an increase in streams from its Christmas Eve numbers and peak! UK streams appear to have made just over a third of the total amount, so gaining traction outside the UK. Peaked at 58 last year and the UK made over 50% in 2020. Sleeper international hit here we come :cheer:
  18. Shame KMIC didn't make it this week. I was at least expecting it to go top 200 on Spotify but didn't seem to hit the 62k to do that. On the bright side, KMIC had over 435k stream on Spotify alone yesterday so must be doing ok in other regions. Where exactly, I have no idea.
  19. Got to admit, the choir version is much more palatable, dare I even say ‘nice’. Looking forward to seeing the sales still and whether it beat last years peak. Interesting seeing it have any impact abroad given the charity is UK based. Guessing mostly Brits living abroad or do they actually have some international appeal?
  20. This re-release has all been handled by Sony who have the rights for former Syco releases. Whether they have any deal beyond this re-release, we don’t know (as far as I am aware). Same management company as before though. Glad they have secured some decent promo slots, I just wish the new material was actually promoted rather than songs we have heard live multiple times over.
  21. Just imagine if Spotify actually released their 2021 wrapped after Christmas rather than at the end of November, would at least mean more hits from the last year climbing rather than the old songs that get a certain amount of streams no matter what time of year it is. Doubt many people are still listening to theirs. Really hoping some big surprise release is just around the corner to start 2022 with.
  22. Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like One More Sleep has had a big jump on the biggest Spotify playlist Christmas Hits now it has had it's annual update. Pretty sure it was around the 60th song mark last I checked a week or two ago, but now it is #32. Hopefully will help with its international performance this year. Kiss Me It's Christmas has also been added to the Christmas Is Coming & Easy Christmas playlists (there are probably some more but those are the ones in the top two rows of Christmas playlists they show). :cheer:
  23. I have to agree. The mix on her vocals just sounds off. I can understand the estate’s objections to the project after listening to that. Dread to think what the rest will sound like. For what it is worth The Weeknd does sound good on the track, just not enough to save it.

Given this album a few listens now and really enjoying it bar the two singles, which I actually think are two of the weakest tracks. Alone Together is the stand out for me. Hopefully gets released to radio in time as I think it would be received well.
  25. It also has to get good airplay which takes a long time to build. If this makes top 50 stateside by Christmas week, I would see that as a win.
