I am expecting this to be a popular stocking filler and we are at the time people start buying for Christmas, so hopefully we won’t see such a steep decline in physical sales after week 1 over the next couple of months. I am hoping we do get something in terms of promo. A television special would be nice, even if the group don’t perform live.

Looking forward to Dan + Shay’s song. Guessing George will be the biggest hit this year out of those.

Thanks! Agreed with those unenthused about that Alessia Cara Amazon exclusive. Can’t imagine many choosing to listen to that outside of a playlist. Would rather they used some less well known songs. River worked well as it was never a big Christmas standard like Rocking Around The Christmas Tree/Jingle Bell Rock etc.

I didn’t even know this was a thing you could view on Spotify! Guessing it is desktop only? Comfortable lead again for Adele. The Anxiety getting so close to top 10 now. :dance:

The song is nice enough and I am sure it will please the radio 2/Gary Barlow tour crowd but doesn’t grab me as a future classic. Time will tell. Let’s hope it gets some good playlist placement otherwise this will do nothing. Shame that it is just 2 extra tracks for all formats. Not really much incentive to buy the whole album again based on that. Fingers crossed next year we get a full album of new material again.

Given this a few listens now and it isn’t clicking how I hoped. Bar the three singles, Collide is the only other stand out for me. The rest are pleasant enough, but nothing I would listen to outside of the album.

Hoping the digital/cd release has more to it than what has been confirmed for the vinyl release, as an extra 2 tracks is disappointing. Either way, looking forward to hearing them and hopefully the single can get decent playlist placement to get noticed. Hard for new tracks to break through unless you get the Alexa treatment.

I went with 30+ top 40 based on the 24th and 25th being taken into account. Can’t see a drop off for Christmas songs charting without added chart rules to restrict them. Also went 61-70 since we only just missed the 60 mark last year, though we are scraping the barrel for songs that will be on multiple playlists at that stage (as shown by some of the songs that scraped top 100 last year).

It is quite common still with K-pop to have traditional single/EP releases with 1-3 b-sides. The concept over here is pretty dead now sadly, but appropriate here.

I am curious what they will bring out this year. Doubt anything will challenge for Christmas #1 though with where Christmas Day falls this year. The week after is a possibility though.

I have gone with Elton, though I think it will be very close. Haven’t really heard any buzz about new Lana this time and not expecting much from Biffy. Elton has had a resurgence even before Cold Heart with the Rocketman film, Step Into Christmas becoming a more prominent Xmas staple song and some of his recent features (Gaga, Y&Y, Lil Nas X), so there does seem to be more buzz about him now than there was at any time during the last decade. Not ruling Coldplay out but will be clearer when we have album sales today. I suspect they were very frontloaded, but if it has kept up respectable numbers each day (3.5K +) then it might hold on.

I’m glad Industry Baby managed to get a week at the top before Adele starts her stint at #1. Shivers finally breaking through to top 10 :cheer:

I expect it to at least do 300k. Can’t imagine it being that much beyond this with the album market now but who knows with Adele. Would love to see it do more.

Still a great start for Adele. Let’s see how well it holds up compared to the Drake tracks. Expecting a bit more longevity with Easy On Me.

We have a split between paid for streams (1:100) and free streams (1:600) so without knowing the split it is difficult to gauge exactly what ‘sales’ have come from that one day.

Definitely prefer the ACR chart for this week with The Anxiety breaking top 20. Seeing if you really love me so low is definitely a blessing I wish carried into the actual chart :lol:

I have gone for 1-1.25 million for day 1 and 2-2.5 for peak. Can’t see it beating Wham and Mariah’s peaks though.

If Tik Tok was around at the time, you know there would have been a load of people imitating the video. Not long now until we see how the hype translates into Easy On Me sales. :dance:

Levitating’s longevity has been crazy. Must be a contender for year end #1 at this point. Cold Heart also making good gains now. :cheer:

Great result for Elton/Dua. Let’s hope they replicate this in the UK come Friday. Pleased for Willow too, one of my fave songs at the moment.
