It all depends on your definition of how success is measured and if that is referring to just the UK or worldwide. Little Mix have definitely had the longest running chart career from the show (not looking at the solo acts that started in a group), but sales wise (singles or albums) they would fall short compared to One Direction globally. Definitely a good argument to make that statement focusing on the UK alone though.

P!nk has been far more stable than I expected. Shame the peak position wasn’t great.

I hope Billboard review their rules in terms of streaming/download/airplay ratios. It is clear looking at the streaming that they are not even close to being the most listened to track of the week. Butter is much better than Permission To Dance though, so I don’t blame the army swapping back to that :lol:

The rule change makes sense. Seems like the right time for Zitti E Buoni as it was on the verge of leaving the top 100. Far exceeded all expectations I had for the track. Fingers crossed Good Without goes ACR next week. Had more than enough time top 40.

Over half my team at work booked Monday off due to football and I expect similar situations across the country. Seeing the stats tomorrow will give a clearer indication if people are having a longer break or if the low numbers were an after match of late night football on a Sunday evening.

Yeah, it certainly is not on Spotify. I can’t see some of the others which are available ever picking up enough sales/streams to get there (e.g. islands in the stream, it’s Chico time) so will have company for a good while. Hopefully Slow will get some 20 year celebrations in 2023 to push it over the threshold.

I have heard of people buying alternate cover cd/cassette/vinyl singles but a download seems a bit pointless. Mad they have a fan base to re-purchase the same track over and over to this extent. Duncan edging closer to top 50! :cheer:

I feel like this one was pretty obvious from the get go to be honest. The song did well because of the viral video and tik tok. Don't think anyone was that fussed about the person behind the track, similar to Man's Not Hot a few years back. Kinda glad that this is looking more set to be a chart battle between Ed and Olivia rather than a run away first week. I am loving Bad Habits, though it doesn't sound like most of his other material so I can understand why the fanbase might not be as fussed about this release.

Surprised Butter has held on as long as it has. Still hoping Dua might be able to leapfrog Olivia eventually as it is still picking up on radio. Love to see Duncan Lawrence climbing and Willow creeping in at the tail end. Hopefully Maneskin can start coming through next week once all the Migos tracks clear out of the bubbling under chart.

That would be ideal. As you say, I can't see them opening up the full database without a serious cost attached. I don't imagine most people would care about the whole thing though and would just look a their fave acts, as they could put a limit on how many songs/discographies can be accessed per month, or when they are doing these top 10/20/40 lists, just provide sales for all items rather than a select few to those that subscribe. I am glad they are looking at shaking things up. Main thing for me is getting these ads in order as they are currently very disruptive to the experience when looking at anything on a mobile device.

I love the pirates reply track. A great listen in its own right unlike F.U.R.B. Which I find unlistenable now.

I am glad they are having more success beyond zitti e buoni and slave but don’t get what is special about this cover. Guessing Tiktok is helping it? Some great Italian material being ignored for anything in English.
