So pleased to see Britney doing something new o her own terms, even if it is s a cover. A video would be great, but the music is enough really. Cold Heart's video was animated and it worked. Cute if the video is Britney with Taron acting as Elton again.

First Aid Kit have been around for at least a decade. Their last album went top 3 so they do have a respectable following. Definitely more of an album act than singles though.

Not sure Kasabian would have the same impact now the singer has changed than they did previously. Great if the fans have stuck with them. Think this will be a tight race but not expecting great numbers for any of them right now.

Thank god for Metallica making this chart a bit more interesting. As happy as I am Last Last is doing well, I hope it doesn’t surpass Toni’s peak with the original song. One of my all time faves.

I would say it is one of the most distinctive dance songs of the year, especially with it’s unusual structure. Very different to the other number ones of the year, so glad it made it.

Hoping the remix for RUTH that is used in the show gets a release like they did for the Journey song. Hopefully Metallica and Journey can hold up/improve over the week. Bit annoying One Kiss is increasing again while Potion is still being pushed but I guess Tik Tok don’t really care about what is the current single.

Agreed the song is great and still sounds fresh to me. However, I do feel it has had its time top 40 and it’s presence now is potentially blocking other songs breaking into the top 40. Can spend eternity at the bottom end of the chart like Mr Brightside for all I care still.

It has definitely gotten much worse lately. Has been bad for years but their archive section is just not working at all right now.

Definitely expected a good boost the week after next when the next set of episodes comes out. Might dip a bit this week though. Hopefully Bey or LF System can grab a week at the top.

Having a look on BPI certifications and see Shining was certified silver for 200,000 units on Friday 17th June, so every track on this list is certified. Lemonade tracks definitely hit hard by being Tidal exclusive so long. US targeted playlisting also making an impact on how well some of these songs have done after their initial release.

Yeah, they definitely got muddled on that last part. It was initially released as part of the movie soundtrack for the film ‘She’s Having A Baby’ before being included on the A Sensual World album I believe.

Great to see Kate being reset, though I do hope there has been a proper rule change allowing resets for old songs and this isn’t being treated as an exception. Defeats the point if they will just bend rules when it suits them.

Shame Diana Ross couldn't get a big enough boost for the last album go top 100 again after the Jubilee performance. Hopefully Glastonbury will work out better. Great to see two Kate Bush albums charting. Hopefully both will get another boost next week.

25 still had single campaign promoting it 6 months after 25’s release though. Adele/her team have all but given up plugging 30. Bored of all the Ed talk. I don’t see how it is anything but a positive seeing someone plugging multiple post album singles and maintaining interest in the album. If Ed stopped promoting after Christmas, I have no doubt he would be in a similar position to Adele.

Really enjoying the new Kanye song, much more than I expected to.

What a crazy boost for Kate. Haven’t watched the new stranger things yet but must be pretty special to get this kind of reaction. If Kate’s catalogue could get some more viral hits in the 21st century, that would be great.
