I think it will be remembered better than its chart position would suggest. It has gone silver and still gets decent streams, so wouldn’t Be surprised to see it go gold by the end of the year.

Seems mad that Talk is only just peaking now. I know we aren’t really a representation of when the general public pick up music, but feels like it’s peak impact has been and went. I was hoping Blackpink would be higher. Not bad for k-pop of course, but was hoping this could chart. Not optimistic it will this week based on that start.

One More Chance is definitely the worst out of the two extra tracks. Bit biased in putting them at the bottom though, simply because I don't know them as well as all the other songs.

It’s getting the balance right. Songs like this just don’t have any chart impact these days. It will go top 40 I am sure from the fan base, but won’t stick around as long as Hello My Love did. I imagine it would have been a good song to lead the album with, but where that’s not due anytime soon it seems a bit odd to push a song like this now.

This exactly. Hello My Love fit well with the current pop landscape. Better Man is just a very cliched ballad that sounds like what they were doing 15 years ago (by this time their sound became rather autopilot). I get why they would release a song like this, but it’s not going to appeal to the current audience like Hello My Love did.

The streams in the 100-150 figures must be pretty good if a remix at 144 can propel Wow from 11 to 4.

Whatever it is, it’s pretty rubbish. Was expecting more after the last single was actually pretty good. I suppose it will cater to the soppy mums that got Mandy to #1

I can see her doing well with physicals as she appeals to the indie pop market. If she got more airplay, which I imagine she will only build on, I can see her having a born to die level of impact with this debut album.

The song, like handmade heaven, has grown on me with multiple listens. Not that keen on the ‘o-o-o-orange’ but as tawdry has pointed out. I think it’s time people stop expecting this to be another family jewels or Electra heart record. Her sound is now much more mellowed out, but still pop and melodic so fits marina’s brand. I am sure the record as a whole will still be great, Marina has never really been a singles artist (at least never translated into one :cry: )

Think this is more to do with coming out at a time when they didn’t really get the sales/streams balance right in the charts. Having said that, the song was hammered the year it came out and was used in ads etc, something bleeding love is not catered for.

Hoping George will get a good spike now his new single is getting pushed. Doubt it will be enough to overtake TGS, but should keep him in the top 5 until Q4.

Better In Time no contest. Love the Happy video, but never really fell in love with the song as others seem to have done. Loved the B-side at least.

Thanks for this. So we’re looking at around 1,000 sales per year in the streaming era. Make A Scene’s sales always upset me. Looking at the difference in both run downs, MOTD has been quite a decent seller/streamer! Should be platinum within a few years!

Was there a Read My Lips sales figure given in 2014 as well?
