Fully expecting Tom/Ella to end up with the dreaded #11 position. I hope they do manage to keep their position. Can’t see it staying high that much longer. Already exceeded what I imagine most people’s expectations were for it.

Love seeing Arcade making an impact in the USA. Anyone know the last time a Eurovision song made the US charts?

Unless there is some legal challenge we don’t know about (eg. Plagiarism claims etc). Unlikely this soon after release but not impossible for a song to get pulled from online services.

I see Tom Odell’s another love is showing in the mids. Any reason why? Would prefer if it were Monster v.2 which is fast becoming my fave release of his.

New Sza & Doja Cat sounds huge. Expecting this to do well considering how both acts have done on streaming lately.

I see Summer of 69 is showing in the midweeks. Guessing that is down to the sunny weather we had over the weekend.

It is a new mix of a song on their last album and has been out for a number of weeks already. The new mix with Michelle visage will feature on the new album. Good signs for when the new lead single comes out.

That’s part of the problem sadly, it is just us chart enthusiasts that care. These GH albums sticking around forever isn’t ideal, but the top 5 of the album chart has much more movement than the singles chart when you look week to week. Low sales mean more high peaks for new entires, so the OCC get the chart stories from that and artists get a short term ‘win’ for a good peak. If we had Queen/Elton/Fleetwood Mac etc at #1 for weeks on end, they would change rules like they did for soundtracks. They aren’t (yet) so why rock the boat.

Same, the novelty of the ATB sample has worn off now. Happy for this to start dropping now. Yay at Hold On going top 10. Strongest single of his as of late.

Blame it on our media. Radio & TV won’t touch non-English tracks unless they are quirky or have an English speaking feature. Don’t see them often on uk based playlists too which hurts the streaming numbers.

Duncan Lawrence to breaking through next week! Wellerman also on the way in. Good gains for Ava too. Will see if Olivia can survive new Drake next week.

I think that it is more down to sales being so poor, any spikes are causing dramatic shifts, even with the rolling element of the chart.

This will change overtime as we are seeing legacy songs improving year on year. Will be interesting to see how it looks in another 5 years time.

As a Pokémon fan I gave it a curiosity listen and couldn’t make it past the 2 minute mark. I do like some of Post’s stuff too (more stuff like circles, not so much Psycho and that sound). Don’t think this appeals to either group. Fingers crossed the Katy Perry Pokémon track will be more of an ear worm.

Exactly, they have had entire album campaigns underperform here then have a big follow up era. Really hard to call with M5. I like the song so hopefully it will improve.

I would prefer to see the original Rasputin getting the sales than this new mix, but happy to see Boney M getting any attention in the streaming age.

The only press I have seen about the movie has been bad, so not surprised the general public aren’t picking this up.

It was out for valentines to be fair (at least the video of the recording), just taken a bit of time for it to gather enough social media attention to make any impact. Considering it was a nice treat for the fans I think it is doing pretty well.

Interesting that the occ update has united kingdolls as the artist rather than the cast of... wonder if this is an oversight before being fixed by Friday or if they are keeping the kingdolls and bananadrama versions separate. Break up bye bye was combined so was/am expecting the same here.
