I appreciate she is trying different things and good to see her doing more features, even if I am not keen on Pitbull. I doubt her own stuff will be similar in style so not concerned for LL6.

Leona sounds great on it. Shame it has Pitbull as the lead artist though. Not feeling his parts from that snippet.

One way or another streams need to be counted as it is the most popular form of music consumption. When a song loses out purely because of a handicap then it is a bit frustrating, though I doubt Calvin/Dua are that bothered about it after having so many weeks at the top.

I thought as far as the US is concerned, this is the main single version. It has already charted on the bubbling under hot 100 chart as the duet version. Would be good to see this go top 100 for both artists. Should do well on adult contemporary radio if pushed over there. I love before that performance when the host appears to mishear Calum saying ‘bleeding’ as ‘being in’ :lol:

Whatever it is, I just hope they aren’t an artificial #1 thanks purely to ACR. One Kiss still feels like it has got legs and is the most popular song around, so quite happy for that to have a couple more weeks.

So pleased Young Blood is finally picking up steam. Was worried the UK would pass this one by. 5SOS are really delivering on singles this year.

Yeah, this was when streaming really started impacting the charts, resulting in quite a few songs not making top 40 due to loads of songs hogging up the charts. We have ACR now which has helped turnover but the damage to quality is already done

I am glad The 1975 are starting off well with the track, although I find it a complete misfire from them after their amazing singles run from the last album.

I am hoping with Shotgun now picking up steam, the album will start getting decent boosts up to end of year. Still optimistic he can at least do 750k by end of year with some good autum/winter promo to follow Shotgun and festivals covering the Summer. TGS definitely looking set for an easy 1 million before end of year. Don’t think Mamma Mia 2 will pose any real challenge. Not going to be a long term seller on streaming with all covers.

I didn’t even know they switched a member, but then I never payed attention to who was in the original line up. :lol: I am finding the charts don’t correlate with general popularity as much as they used to. Songs that get blitzed on radio/tv don’t always get the same attention on streaming (mostly due to not making playlists) and vice versa.

I haven’t really heard or noticed Nice For What outside of following the chart through Buzzjack. Gods Plan however was everywhere, helped by the video. I would agree with mdh on the 5, with Ariana just outside.

These concert bundles are causing some real messy album chart runs. Bound to plummet again next week. I know the billboard charts are slow, but Perfect still top 10 near the end of May just seems ridiculous.

Really don’t get why this is still being pushed instead of I Like It. Pretty obvious what the public prefer. Better to just focus on making that as big as possible in the UK

That would be amazing, though I expect it to plummet by Monday afternoon/evening. Hopefully the press around the stage invasion will be enough to maintain interest over the week (and ideally get some streams).

If anything, surely this is the good thing about the 3 track rule, so we don’t get the whole album in the chart. I don’t know 100% whether they can clearly differentiate between a full album stream and individual track stream, so I guess this is as good a compromise as we will get. In an ideal world they wouldn’t be double counted in both the singles and album chart I agree.

Agreed. I don’t think announcing this was necessary or is actually going to do spotify any favours. Just going to bring to attention how many other artists have similar allegations (currently or historically), which still get heavily promoted. It is good that they are doing this still.

Deserves to go number one IMO. Song of the year so far. :wub:
