  1. That or getting enough 99p cd singles ready is taking longer than initially expected.
  2. Here for Like Jennie smashing. Probably the most ‘Blackpink’ sounding song we have had from any of the four since going solo IMO

No sign of Jimin’s WHO after its convenient spike last week (unless I am being blind). Seems the bots have moved on for now.

I am wondering if Basic Instinct is getting the streams for ‘The Collection’ in error. Does seem like a bizarre album to be doing so well when most of Ciara’s hits are on different albums.

Guessing Disease will get reset by the end of the week with the album boost. Otherwise a decent clear out over the next couple weeks.

Loving this, with Twist The Knife my favourite at the moment. Looking forward to uk tour dates.
  7. Format looks great Riser. Thanks for posting these charts each week, always interesting to see. Shame Sam Fender couldn’t scrape top 10.
  8. Agreed, really not getting the love for Busy Woman personally. Found it quite forgettable. 15 Minutes however was very instant for me.

Not ‘Wheels On The Bus’ being a gold certified $ma$h. Also Hannah Montana two weeks in a row. :cheeseblock:

I feel like it got pushed too soon, with APT. still being huge. Hopefully this gets another push or go for another single before moving on from the album (drinks or coffee ideally).

This time last year, Noah Kahan was still #1 with his 2023 smash Stick Season and I am sure there are plenty of examples of other songs even before streaming age who were #1 in Feb with a previous year release. Still very early in the year, but loads of new songs with momentum once the Super Bowl hype calms down.Rooting for GaGa next week.
  12. About damn time! :yahoo:

The LISA, RAYE and Doja Cat collab is out tomorrow isn’t it? Could do well if the K-pop fans support it.

Can’t imagine Fat, Juicy & Wet would be an easy song to edit for radio. Would surely be more bleeps than words they can air. Wouldn’t mind it getting a week top 40, purely to see how radio 1 handle it.

About time for Sour Candy! :cheer: Here’s hoping 911 won’t be too far behind.

If Central Cee and Dave end up blocking Messy getting a week at #1, I’ll be fuming. At least Lola will be starting the week already at the top of most streaming charts.

Did Rock Wit U always have the (Awww Baby) bit or is that a recent add to the title? Didn’t realise Long Way 2 Go was streaming so well. :o

Aaliyah two weeks in a row. :cheeseblock:

While I don’t doubt Chappell could have an even bigger year if a new album drops, she already has a platinum selling album. Clearly the album success should have disqualified her from this, even with her having only two top 10 singles to date (though I think it is fair to call RWS and PPC big hits even without top 10 chart positions). After a poor year for British music success, they should have given this to a UK artist that would benefit from the added exposure (e.g. JADE).

OMG!! Would be amazing if this could actually become a hit. :cheer:

Shame neither artist or label seem interested in promoting this. Feel it could be a moderate hit if pushed on radio and other streaming platforms.

Good to see the I Care 4 U album, although it was already certified gold before this. Guessing the change in label has resulted in the sales being split. That or there has been a mistake and Ultimate Aaliyah should be the compilation getting certified silver. :???: Edit: oops, meant for the 2024 thread.

Here’s hoping we get some surprise release or viral hit, otherwise looking to be a pretty stale few weeks. Hoping Headlock will start blowing up in a big way soon.

I would say Hurt was the bigger misfire personally. There are countless missteps in the handling of Leona’s career though and I actually feel that started before the Spirit era even finished (but that is for a different thread). As for biggest flop, I would also go Silly Me. Many other mentions here are underperformances to expectations, but that was a total tank. Can’t think of many other acts to go from the heights Jess Glynne had in the previous era (multiple top tens with worst single charting at 19 + a big Amazon Christmas exclusive) to not even charting with the lead single.
  25. Same here. Felt like the last Christmas number one battle the nation was invested in.
