Radio 1 Playlist (15/05/26): Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sunderland
Wasia Project’s ‘Bleeding Gold’ is Going Home’s Tune of the Week rather than ‘2515’.

KETTAMA
Perfect timing before the hot weather. Absolute banger!

Radio 1 Playlist (15/05/26): Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sunderland
Only just discovered that horsegiirL song from it appearing on this playlist. I very much doubt it’ll make the proper playlist but it’s great!

Holly Humberstone - Cruel World
The fact it got a video probably gave it away, but looks like ‘Beauty Pageant’ is being pushed as the next single - Tune of the Week for Matt & Mollie on Radio 1. ‘White Noise’ was another candidate but I can see why they’ve gone for something different to the previous songs this era.

Radio 1 Playlist (15/05/26): Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sunderland
I’ve not looked at the songs played so far this week, but I don’t think that’s been the case in previous years.
-
Prospa & Murda Beatz - Baby
Prospa are on an amazing run at the minute. Clearly that’s helped them gain some well deserved commercial success.

Radio 1 Playlist (08/05/26): The saviour of rock music comes from Boston
They didn’t insta add ‘Blessings’ which came out on the equivalent weekend last year. It was added straight to the B-list after the Big Weekend playlist (which I’m assuming will be a thing again from next week). Very surprised they haven’t moved Disclosure up - it’s the best thing they’ve done in ages!

Radio 1 Playlist (01/05/26): There's no greater power than the power of... a Sabrina collab
And completely unnecessary. The past few years, the playlisting of Big Weekend artists has been getting more and more over the top. For example, last year you had Tom Grennan getting instant A-list adds for the first time. That’ll by why Ewan McVicar is still on here, and I expect him to remain next week before getting another couple weeks on the Big Weekend playlist. Same goes for Sonny Fodera and Holly Humberstone - both of which I’d ordinarily expect to be removed next week.

Radio 1 Playlist (01/05/26): There's no greater power than the power of... a Sabrina collab
A-list back up to 17. Some very premature removals this week. Ewan McVicar coming to do a Diplo…

Holly Humberstone - Cruel World
I’ve had this on repeat since it dropped. She really deserves to be huge, there’s so many big songs on the album that could give her that breakthrough moment. ‘To Love Somebody’ felt like the moment but it hasn’t transpired yet. If only TikTok could get hold of the tick-tick-boom part of ‘Cruel World’!

Becky Hill - >>>hands on me<<<
So she teases it for an age, never gives a release date, then without warning drops it on a Wednesday. Also what’s with the >>> <<< in the title. It’s a banger though.
- Rudimental - Love You More

Radio 1 Playlist (24/04/26): The sun comes up on my tremendous new religion
Have Prospa ever been A-listed? I reckon ‘Free Your Mind’ will get there.

Radio 1 Playlist (17/04/26): Mr Know It All has the potential to drop dead
Amazing to see FISHER as a longest runner, even if eight weeks is not the longest of long runners. Some great dance songs around at the minute and that’s reflected in the adds this week - the Nia Archives and Prospa songs in particular are great. Need Disclosure to be added next!

Radio 1 Playlist (17/04/26): Mr Know It All has the potential to drop dead
A-list back down to 15, but an extra song on the C-list. Nearly back to the old 15-15-12 split.
