His best effort was ‘You Don’t Own Me’ but that was largely due to Prospa! ‘Feel This Way’ is also a banger.

I went from really looking forward to this, to being underwhelmed, to now really digging it again! I still think it’s a little basic and lacks a big finish, but Poppy’s vocals are fantastic.

Shame it’s just been booted from Radio 1’s playlist. I was half-expecting him to be A-listed.

To be fair, there are three instant adds this week.

A decent amount of new adds, but the A-list is looking sooo stale. Surely better to keep the likes of Temper City and Barry Can’t Swim on and move some more songs up. I can’t believe MK is still there - it’s 11th week as it was on the big weekend playlist.

Not a bad prediction at all - looks like it’ll peak at #2 next week?

The recent trend of late A-list rises continues! Enjoying both Jorja Smith songs so nice to see them added.

This actually took a little while for me to properly get into but I am enjoying it very much now - my favourite bit is also the ‘I’m such a chameleon, do you wanna wear my tiara?’ lines. I think the reason it took slightly longer to get me is that I feel the chorus is lacking that extra something. I’m not sure why, maybe the verses are just so strong that the chorus sounds pretty basic by comparison.

What Prospa song were you expecting them to add? I doubt they’ve moved on to a new single yet with ‘Free Your Mind’ still flying. I do think they should’ve kept that on for another week or two.

I do really like ‘White Noise’, but it’s not on the same league as ‘To Love Somebody’ and ‘Cruel World’. Oh and amazing for KETTAMA!

Yeah absolutely no need to A-list Calvin Harris. If they were going to A-list a dance song, it should’ve been Barry Can’t Swim. On the subject of dance songs, I hope they support Chloe Caillet and Rose Gray - the latter in particular sounds exactly like something Radio 1 would get behind.

Though that list was only two songs so I felt it was pretty pointless. If it was a more detailed list then yes I’d like to see that.

Big boost for this with the weather and being used on a video from the England camp at the World Cup. Looks like it will get that Top 10 peak and deservedly so - song of the summer!

I’ve noticed Jonas Blue’s ‘Edge of Desire’ keeps getting random plays. Anyone know why?

Jorja Smith & Wizkid with ‘Alive’ is TOTW. Which makes keeping ‘What’s Done Is Done’ on there for an 8th week a strange decision, seeing as it’ll only get 4 days of B-list plays. Surprised Skye Newman hasn’t been A-listed yet, but pleased to see NBT belatedly get there.

Yeah bit disappointing unfortunately

This sounds really strong. Only a matter of time until Josh Baker has a big breakthrough - I reckon this could be it.

Maybe it’s just me, but it feels like there’s been a wider range of recurrent tracks played recently. Fontaines D.C’s ‘Bug’ and beabadoobee’s ‘Take A Bite’ just a couple of examples. Can only be a good thing!
