Really hope this can properly take off as it should’ve done 2 years ago.
  2. Hopefully they add that KETTAMA track soon
  3. I don’t hear the similarity, but this is a tune.
  4. Yes I’m surprised they’ve not removed those two you mentioned, CMAT too has had a long run when you add in the two Big Weekend weeks. sombr gone after just five weeks is a surprise. ANOTR still going strong!
  5. I hope they keep ‘Talk To You’ on the playlist for a couple more weeks yet. It’s only now really starting to take off, plus it’s just so bloody brilliant!
  6. 14 on the B-list has been the norm for a while apart from a few week spell a month or so back when it was 15.
  7. 11 out of 15 songs on the A-list have a female lead artist. Don’t think I’ve seen it that lob-sided before. They’ll almost certainly be A-listed in a few weeks.
  8. Surprised that Maisie Peters has been A-listed, but other than that everything pretty much as expected. Wish they’d move Disclosure up! I do think it would be worth perhaps putting an asterisks next to songs that were on the big weekend playlist - makes it easier to track for the next few weeks.
  9. Oh yes so I was forgetting something obvious!
  10. So the maddest playlist of the year tomorrow - what are people’s predictions? I reckon Taylor Swift, Holly Humberstone, Gaga and Sonny Fodera will be removed from the A-list, as well as Olivia Rodrigo’s songs swapping. FISHER and Kehlani move up, as well as Drake and Lola Young being added straight to the A-list. New Sonny Fodera and SIENNA SPIRO on the B-list, with plenty of C-list entries: Alessia Rose Calvin Harris Gracie Abrams Harry Styles Jorja Smith MK Nothing But Thieves There may be some more B-list adds rather than C. Though I’ve probably missed someone really obvious!
  11. The chorus and drop is great but I can’t be dealing with the spoken parts.
  12. Yeah it’s basic but I really like it
  13. Looks like this has had a boost from the weather. I suspect it’ll have a very long chart run that eventually sees it reach top 10.
  14. I’m sure it’ll be A-listed at some point. But I’d be pleasantly surprised to see it higher than the C-list when the playlist goes back to normal on Friday.

‘Comes and Goes’ at #73 in the chart update 👀
  16. I think from the three, only Lola Young will be added straight to the A-list next week along with Olivia Rodrigo and Drake. There will be some B adds just due to the amount of songs they’ll be adding - NBT are contenders, maybe Gracie Abrams and Sienna Spiro too. I’d expect Sonny Fodera on the C-list. Hopefully they quickly move onto Holly Humberstone’s next single too.
  17. Wasia Project’s ‘Bleeding Gold’ is Going Home’s Tune of the Week rather than ‘2515’.

Perfect timing before the hot weather. Absolute banger!
  19. Only just discovered that horsegiirL song from it appearing on this playlist. I very much doubt it’ll make the proper playlist but it’s great!
  20. The fact it got a video probably gave it away, but looks like ‘Beauty Pageant’ is being pushed as the next single - Tune of the Week for Matt & Mollie on Radio 1. ‘White Noise’ was another candidate but I can see why they’ve gone for something different to the previous songs this era.
  21. I’ve not looked at the songs played so far this week, but I don’t think that’s been the case in previous years.
  22. Prospa are on an amazing run at the minute. Clearly that’s helped them gain some well deserved commercial success.
  23. They didn’t insta add ‘Blessings’ which came out on the equivalent weekend last year. It was added straight to the B-list after the Big Weekend playlist (which I’m assuming will be a thing again from next week). Very surprised they haven’t moved Disclosure up - it’s the best thing they’ve done in ages!
  24. And completely unnecessary. The past few years, the playlisting of Big Weekend artists has been getting more and more over the top. For example, last year you had Tom Grennan getting instant A-list adds for the first time. That’ll by why Ewan McVicar is still on here, and I expect him to remain next week before getting another couple weeks on the Big Weekend playlist. Same goes for Sonny Fodera and Holly Humberstone - both of which I’d ordinarily expect to be removed next week.
  25. A-list back up to 17. Some very premature removals this week. Ewan McVicar coming to do a Diplo…
