I like ‘Back It Up’ but ‘You Don’t Own Me’ is levels above. I’m pretty addicted to the latter now.

Oh yeah I like this. Nice to see quite a few dance hits coming through recently.

I’m not normally a big fan of Prospa, but the last three releases have been brilliant.

This release will be part of a deluxe version of True Magic. It’s a tune!

Yeah Lola Young was also played at the top of the hour at 11, which normally means it’s on the A-list.

I think Lola Young might’ve been removed in error? Unless they’re cutting the A-list to 14 songs.

This seems to be gaining traction on TikTok. One to watch over the summer.

Nine plays already sounds like ‘Manchild’ has been unofficially A-listed then. On the recurrents, looking back at yesterday’s afternoon show, it does seem to be more recent again now - though there’s still a lot more than there used to be due to the reduction in the playlist size. Edit - As I say that, ‘Many Of Horror’ and Sigma’s ‘Nobody To Love’ have been played on breakfast.

I hope they add Cheetah/Nia Archives soon, but I fear they may have just got two weeks on the Big Weekend playlist and that’s it. Not a big fan of that Sammy Virji song, would rather his song with Issey Cross, ‘Nostalgia’, be added.

This is really good!

KETTAMA!

So there should be a lot of movement when the playlist goes back to normal tomorrow. I reckon Calvin to be A-listed, as well as Wolf Alice and maybe Alex Warren - the latter maybe more likely for the B-list.

I like this, even though I have no idea what the lyrics are.

I absolutely love this. My favourite dance song so far this year.

When they first did the BW playlist in 2023, they had a new playlist running Tuesday-Thursday after Bank Holiday. Last year the BW playlist ran for two full weeks. I agree it makes sense to be Friday 30th for the next update, it’s just the website says otherwise at the moment. I reckon whenever the next playlist is, Calvin Harris will be added to the A-list. Oh and that Nia Archive track is a serious tune. Hopefully it gets added properly soon.

The website does say that the playlist runs until Thursday, though they could easily extend it.

Shocked that Calvin Harris wasn’t insta added. Though I suspect if the Big Weekend playlist returns next week, he’ll be added to the B-list (or A if it takes off) on the next proper update on the 30th May. I heard that Ashnikko song this morning. Weird for them to play a C-list track as a recurrent. ‘FUFN’ should get another couple weeks on high rotation too due to Big Weekend.

Based off the last two years, there will be a Big Weekend playlist in two weeks time. I expect Tom Grennan and maybe JADE to survive next week and then get an extra two weeks of A-list support through the Big Weekend playlist.

‘Nostalgia’ is a bit of a banger!

Yes it is, Jack Saunders asked the question on Radio 1 last night.

Still a good run for Benson Boone! I thought Lorde would be A-listed, but I suspect she’ll climb there next week. Surprised Gracie Abrams wasn’t A-listed.

The B-list again at 14 songs, and looks like 10 is the new number for the C-list. They’ve started playing more older songs recently (I’ve heard ‘The Boy Is Mine’ and ‘Lean On’ recently which stood out) so I’m guessing there’s been a conscious shift there.

Well ‘Before You I Just Forget’ is fantastic.

The B-list is one song short this week, so maybe there’s an error in there.

I think the drop is pretty weak, but other than that it’s enjoyable. Khalid sounds great.
