I’m 99% sure Ed will be A-listed, the song sounds very radio friendly. Wet Leg could be added next week, but equally they could wait a couple weeks.

The D.O.D song is rather good, probably the best thing I’ve heard from him. The playlist seems to have settled down a bit now after a pretty hectic few weeks.

I heard ‘Rodeo Romeo’ the other day and it’s fantastic.

A big factor in Tom Grennan and JADE being insta A-listed will be because they’re at Big Weekend. Still rather excessive though. The Weeknd also had two weeks of ‘Tracks from…’ playlisting, so ‘Cry For Me’ has effectively had six weeks on the playlist. Rather than ‘Born Again’ getting demoted, I’d have binned off Aitch. The amount of short runners on the A-list probably means we’ll see more songs booted early - I reckon Aitch will go next week and can’t see Fontaines lasting more than another couple weeks.

Sounding great in this weather

Quite unique for an artist to have a song on the playlist while a different song as Tune of the Weekend. What’s going on with the C-list? Down from 12 to 9 songs last week, now just 7 this week. Is it a way to keep the playlist fresher, as it forces them to remove tracks further up the playlist? I imagine in a few weeks, there’ll be songs booted from the A-list prematurely with the amount of short runners on there at the minute.

I reckon Bon Iver gets added soon and makes it to the B-list.

Doubt it will be added next week at all, never mind to the B list. Confidence Man still have a song on the A-list anyway, though there’s a decent chance this is the last week.

Amazing for Fontaines! It almost makes up for them dropping ‘Bug’ so soon. ‘Starburster’ was added to the C-list so a straight add to B is a first for them. Not sure of the need to move Aitch to the A-list, and I thought Teddy Swims would’ve moved up by now. I’m enjoying that AJ Tracey song so glad to see a quick add. Sub Focus still hanging on in there!

Not normally fussed on D.O.D but this is really good.

How rude to bin off ‘Bug’ already.

I was a bit late to this album but it’s so good! I’m addicted to ‘Bug’ at the minute, helped by the fact it’s now A-list on Radio 1.

‘Everything Changes (But I Won’t)’ is the standout for me.

Good to see Sub Focus with a quick rise to the A-List. ‘Push The Tempo’ is a serious banger. Surprised Tate McRae is off already without reaching the A-List. That Confidence Man song is a tune.

I’ve been enjoying this since discovering it through TikTok over Christmas. I think it’s the last 30 seconds or so that’s causing it to gain traction.

Went for Sub Focus (which would’ve got top points in the old format), Ben Hemsley and Alok. Second chance for Peggy Gou, salute and Tove Lo.

When the playlist was first published, it was only dated for a week. So I suspect they planned to do a final update for 20th Dec - 9th Jan but changed their minds as there’s not much out there to add.

The website says the playlist is until the 19th, so I think we get one next Friday to take us to 9th January. Yay for Sub Focus finally getting added.

It’s 12 weeks for ‘Bad Dreams’. Very excessive, nonetheless.
