Can’t believe Radio 1 binned this off after just four weeks.

They’ve updated the playlist to confirm the Taylor song is ‘Fortnight’. Shocked at the move for Doja Cat. In some respects it does make sense to move a song down if it’s clearly not going to be big* etc, but on the flip side I’d rather they just ditched it completely to free up space for other songs. *this Doja Cat song was never likely to be big, so it’s not like they’ve been caught off-guard. I’m pretty sure Perrie will move up next week.

Really good this, was Hottest Record tonight too.

Yeah this is very good. It’s about time he had a chart breakthrough.

+12 - The Blessed Madonna feat. Clementine Douglas - Happier +10 - Ella Henderson x Rudimental - Alibi +8 - B.D.B (BICEP x Benjamin Damage) - CHROMA 002 L.A.V.A +7 - Calvin Harris x Rag'n'Bone Man - Lovers In A Past Life +6 - Charli XCX - Von Dutch +5 - Porter Robinson - Cheerleader +4 - Becky Hill x Sonny Fodera - Never Be Alone +3 - Nero - Blame You +2 - Becky Hill - Outside Of Love +1 - Jax Jones x Zoe Wees - Never Be Lonely

1+1=11 is fab

So ‘Scared To Start’ is belatedly A-listed, not sure why it took so long to be honest. I think there’s a very good chance Hozier jumps C-A next week. Enjoying the Glass Animals track so glad it’s getting instant support. I was hoping Radio 1 would avoid NewEra but oh well.

Worth saying this playlist only actually runs Tuesday-Thursday after the playlist was abandoned over Easter Weekend. Intrigued to see what songs move up to the A-list on Friday, there doesn’t seem to be much standing out on the B-list at the minute - maybe Michael Marcagi but that ship has probably sailed now.

The Blessed Madonna off already!? Strange as ‘Happier’ is just starting to climb the charts.

Salute! Such a banger. Selena Gomez gone already, not too surprising considering it’s flopped. Hopefully The Blessed Madonna is A-listed next week.

Bicep and Clara La San are just the perfect combination aren’t they?

Yeah Skepta moving up now is an odd move. Also surprised Little Simz has been booted off already. Shygirl is the only add that interests me.

‘system’ is Arielle Free’s Tune of the Week this week. Hoping for a playlist add soon.

‘No One’ is a banger

The visualiser uses a slightly different edit (and not as good). I’m seriously obsessed with ’system’ now

Yay for The Blessed Madonna, hopefully ‘Happier’ is A-listed at some point. I thought Zara Larsson would’ve been A-listed by now, I guess there’s still time.

Yeah this is the best thing I’ve heard from Jazzy. Was Danny Howard’s Hottest Record on Friday.

Finding the A-list very meh at the minute, but at least there’s a couple of good climbs for Benson Boone and Ella Henderson this week. Also nice to see ‘Mwaki’ climb. Shame they haven’t added The Blessed Madonna yet. ‘Happier’ has been Danny’s Hottest Record, Tune of the Weekend, as well as Arielle and Sam & Danni’s Tune of the Week so hopefully she’s added soon.

Not too strange really, presumably he’s now on gardening leave as they won’t want him effectively be free advertising for Capital (assuming that’s where he’s going). Basically avoiding a repeat of the Ken Bruce situation last year. Sam & Danni are indeed on next week, the following week is still unclear. Makes sense for Vick to be off so they can re-launch Going Home properly on 4th March.

An album is definitely in the works as he mentioned it briefly on Radio 1

Most definitely growing on me, but I do find myself enjoying the verses more than the chorus and drop.

‘Dive’ was released on Thursday as Hottest Record on Radio 1. Holly’s confirmed it will be part of an EP ‘Work In Progress’ out on 15th March. https://open.spotify.com/track/5WMA8AmXGff8...cRiOsI40ZCCz8Zw

‘System’ was hottest record on Radio 1 last week so hopefully it gets playlisted at some point. I’m loving it a lot.

salute all the way for me

I do enjoy the power intros, though I did prefer them before they updated the imaging. Now they seem to be quite similar with only one or two different voices, while previously I’m sure there were quite a few voices used. If anyone is geeky enough to care…
