  1. Would love this to have some chart success, one of my favourites at the minute

Liking a lot of the new entries this week - Becky Hill, Fisher, Troye Sivan and Venbee in particular. Shame Disclosure have stalled on the C-list but I’m still hopeful it’ll rise. Surprised ‘Cruel Summer’ wasn’t A-listed this week, surely it will be next week?
  3. This is so boring, expected more from this collab.

Surprised to see ‘Relax My Eyes’ off already, I was anticipating it would be A-listed this week. Doja Cat being booted isn’t too much of a surprise, they’ve been more inclined to drop songs quicker this year it seems - ‘Double Fantasy’ lasting just two weeks being the biggest example. Even recently, Anne-Marie and Jazzy gone after 7 weeks when previously they’d be getting 9-10. Happy that they’ve supported Disclosure from the off.

I’ve also gone for Issey Cross
  7. ‘Tomorrow Is Closed’ and ‘Pop The Balloon’ are indeed great. I’m really loving ‘Keeping You Around’ too, it’s more understated but very addictive at the same time.
  8. Indeed, it’s ‘Antichrist’ they’ve gone for.

For what it’s worth, I can only see two songs being removed from the A-List this week (one of Niall Horan, Royal Blood or Taylor Swift, probably Niall, joining Rudimental) with Olivia Rodrigo being insta A-Listed and Nothing But Thieves moving up with their album out Friday. Peggy Gou then moves C-B-A.
  10. In fact it’s two new songs: ‘Room Service’ and ‘Antichrist’. Hopefully one will be Hottest Record.
  11. It’s been far too long but new music is coming on Wednesday!

‘VIRGO’S GROOVE’ did so just a couple months ago and we’ve also had Lizzo’s ‘Special’ this year. I believe only ‘Afraid To Feel’ went C-A last year.

    The Blessed Madonna for me
  15. Much much better than ‘gutter’.
  16. I’d say it would be a future number one if Dave/Central Cee wasn’t so dominant
  17. #70 on Spotify is an amazing start, even more so when it only came out at 3pm. Huge summer hit incoming please.

Worth remembering that Arlo Parks, Wet Leg, Jess Glynne, Thirty Seconds To Mars and Joel Corry were all playlisted for an extra week for Big Weekend which they would’ve taken into account.
  19. Sooooo good
  20. There’s been quite a few TikTok sounds for this and it seems to be getting a lot of attention, so potentially this could do something chart wise.

Great to see Hannah Laing and Nothing But Thieves added and Overmono move up. Shame to see Sub Focus off already, but I guess they did effectively get an extra week on the A-list during the Big Weekend playlist.
  22. Really here for this taking off! Added to Radio 1’s playlist today
  23. Looks like the next single is with Chase & Status, she played it at Big Weekend and I would take a guess that it’s called ‘Disconnect’

On the website it says that the Big Weekend playlist is in place until the 29th, so the playlist should be updated on Tuesday.

From what I’ve heard and by looking through the BBC Sounds track listings, here are the songs that I think are getting A-list plays this week: The 1975 - Oh Caroline Arlo Parks - Blades Becky Hill & Lewis Thompson - Side Effects Jamie xx - LET'S DO IT AGAIN Jess Glynne - Silly Me Jonas Brothers - Waffle House Lewis Capaldi - Wish You The Best Niall Horan - Meltdown Nothing But Thieves - Welcome to the DCC RAYE - Flip A Switch Rudimental feat. Charlotte Plank & Vibe Chemistry - Dancing is Healing Sub Focus feat. AR/CO - Vibration (One More Time) Tom Grennan - How Does It Feel Wet Leg - Being In Love That makes 14 songs, rather than the usual 15, so there may be one more - Anne-Marie most likely. I think the rest of the tracks are effectively on the B-list but I’m not entirely sure.
