‘VIRGO’S GROOVE’ did so just a couple months ago and we’ve also had Lizzo’s ‘Special’ this year. I believe only ‘Afraid To Feel’ went C-A last year.

#70 on Spotify is an amazing start, even more so when it only came out at 3pm. Huge summer hit incoming please.

Worth remembering that Arlo Parks, Wet Leg, Jess Glynne, Thirty Seconds To Mars and Joel Corry were all playlisted for an extra week for Big Weekend which they would’ve taken into account.

There’s been quite a few TikTok sounds for this and it seems to be getting a lot of attention, so potentially this could do something chart wise.

Great to see Hannah Laing and Nothing But Thieves added and Overmono move up. Shame to see Sub Focus off already, but I guess they did effectively get an extra week on the A-list during the Big Weekend playlist.

Looks like the next single is with Chase & Status, she played it at Big Weekend and I would take a guess that it’s called ‘Disconnect’

On the website it says that the Big Weekend playlist is in place until the 29th, so the playlist should be updated on Tuesday.

From what I’ve heard and by looking through the BBC Sounds track listings, here are the songs that I think are getting A-list plays this week: The 1975 - Oh Caroline Arlo Parks - Blades Becky Hill & Lewis Thompson - Side Effects Jamie xx - LET'S DO IT AGAIN Jess Glynne - Silly Me Jonas Brothers - Waffle House Lewis Capaldi - Wish You The Best Niall Horan - Meltdown Nothing But Thieves - Welcome to the DCC RAYE - Flip A Switch Rudimental feat. Charlotte Plank & Vibe Chemistry - Dancing is Healing Sub Focus feat. AR/CO - Vibration (One More Time) Tom Grennan - How Does It Feel Wet Leg - Being In Love That makes 14 songs, rather than the usual 15, so there may be one more - Anne-Marie most likely. I think the rest of the tracks are effectively on the B-list but I’m not entirely sure.

Really strange that they’ve removed The Weeknd after two weeks, yet The 1975 get a ninth week. Shame ‘Welcome to the DCC’ is off, though hopefully they’ll quickly switch support to ‘Overcome’. That Rudimental song I feel they’re just going to stan like ‘La Danza’ around this time last year. Though the fact they’re at Big Weekend certainly helps. Pleasantly surprised to see Becky Hill insta added. Do we really need a fifth Wet Leg song A-listed in a row?

Wow ‘Overcome’ is pretty amazing, I do love DCC but think it’s already been topped.

The B-list has a lot of short runners at the minute, hence the poor runs for Aitch, Hozier, FLO and Tyler, The Creator. Though I’m surprised at the lack of A-list support for FLO considering they won Sound Of 2023, that’s two songs now that have stalled on the B-list. Odd Beyoncé jumping to A-list - as far as I’m aware there’s no remix like the Lizzo song that did the same. Happy to see Ben Hemsley get added (if only they playlisted ‘Erase Me’) and Tom Grennan as Tune of the Weekend.

Ah thanks, I didn’t realise it was doing well on Apple. Even so, I’m surprised it’s warranted this level of early support. It’s not like the song is anything special either.

They really like the new Rudimental don’t they? Tune of the Weekend on release and added to the playlist a week later. Not unusual if the song looks like being big but this certainly doesn’t. A shame salute is gone already but also not surprised. I’m expecting Mae Muller to be A-Listed next week to give her the best exposure in the week prior to Eurovision.

Yeah I’m enjoying this too. It’s also Radio 1’s Tune of the Weekend.

Jorja Smith has been insta A-listed before with ‘Come Over’, as well as a couple of insta B adds with ‘Addicted’ and ‘Bussdown’, so probably shouldn’t be too surprising to see her straight to the A-list. Nice adds for MK and Sub Focus - I wonder if the latter can make it three A-list songs in a row.
