Brit Awards 2022 Predictions
Yeah I was thinking she’d have to win, single, album, best female and then the global icon if that’s becoming a yearly thing and that’s still only 4. It’s my only gripe with the Brits as It is my favourite awards show, but there’s just so little awards wise, it’s a bit disappointing the different generes and international Artists aren’t represented very well.

Adele - 30 (First Week Sales Predictions)
I think she’ll open with around 360K, which is still big or massive by the current day standards. Given we don’t know what the pre-orders are it makes it very hard. I do think she’ll challenge divides opening week streaming wise, If not surpass it, but the physical market has shrunk. I’d rather not take notice of critical opinion as I’ve often found I disagree with them.

Brit Awards 2022 Predictions
Wouldn’t Adele have to win like 5 awards in one night to equal Robbie. Given they barely have any awards to hand out these days, that’s a tall order to win the most ever at the brits. Incidentally both Adele and Blur do hold the record for the most won in a night, four.

Friday Chart Predictions
It’ll be interesting to where Abba are once any missing data is added. They could get to 150k depending on how much is missing, I feel like given physical cds arent around so much these days in shops, that could be their downfall. Still amazing for a band that haven’t released an album for 40 years. Ed really has collapsed, I’m beginning to think Taylor has a shot at no1 next week now which initially I thought she wouldn’t stand a chance.

US Hot 100 – 11/06/2021
Pretty incredible to see six British entries in the top 20. Really surprised at how well cold heart is doing, Elton could bag his first top 10 hit in I don’t know how long if it keeps climbing. Was candle in the wind his last top 10 over there?

ABBA “Voyage” first week sales predictions
I went for 200-250k, although I wouldn’t be surprised if it sneaks just past the 250k mark.

Friday Chart Predictions
Blimey, that’s the closest top 3 in the singles there’s been in a long while. Spice girls are holding up better than I thought they would, still think they’ll drop out the top 5 by Friday but hope they keep it. Ed could struggle 200k at this rate, Abba could well break his first week sales next week.

Friday Chart Predictions
Given Ed seems to be stabilising on Spotify, I wonder if he can manage to have the highest steams for an album this year? I’d like to think he will but who knows, I can see it holding up like Sour did when that came out at least.

Friday Chart Predictions
I think I went too high for his first week sales, I thought his physicals would be massive. Should still pull 150-200k I’d imagine though which is impressive for the current climate but even I’m surprised at how low that is. I think I was right on the other thread that the collaboration project has weakened his return as someone else has said, it’s not like he’s been away. Hoping Adele can somehow clinch back the no1 single this week, although she may well return there next week anyway depending on what else comes out. Also amazing to see Spice top 3 after 25 years! Fantastic pop album, hope it holds that by the end of the week but it’ll likely drop. Shame they didn’t release it a few weeks back, although I know it’s for the anniversary.

Friday Chart Predictions
I can’t see OG holding on, shivers is more likely to overtake it I’d have thought. It’ll be close between Adele and Ed I think, depending on how easy on me holds up streaming wise, she could claw it back yet. I don’t really know what people’s expectations were for Adele as she’s done very well imho.

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
And yes! At something good shooting up, such a tune! Hoping it’ll eventually reach the top10

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
Ah thanks! So it is much lower then, I remember Galway Girl being very high with streams but couldn’t remember how the rest of the album panned out.

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
What did divide do on Spotify when it came out? I actually can’t remember the daily streaming numbers. He’s still going to have huge streams this week either way. I do think Adele could just hold him off though singles wise but it’ll be close.

Ed Sheeran - “=“ first week sales predictions
Pleasantly surprised having had a listen. I do think that Bad Habits and Shivers are the two worst songs on that album really. They sound nothing like the rest of the album.

Ed Sheeran - “=“ first week sales predictions
I think he could fall between 300-400k. It’s hard due to the drop off in physical/digital sales but his streaming numbers will be bigger than divides opening week I would have thought. I do feel like this era hasn’t been as big as divide was though and the collaboration project has weakened his comeback somewhat.

Friday Chart Predictions
Amazing start for Adele, I actually think she’ll end up around the 150k mark for the whole week. Would love it to best Shape of You but I just don’t think it will unless it levels off streams wise from Saturdays values.

US Hot 100 – 10/16/2021
Its interesting that country songs are still doing well on the Hot 100, I thought it was a covid response last year when Luke Coombs reached No2 but I'm starting to wonder if there's something else behind the sudden rebound in country songs reaching the top 10 again. I think its a shame it doesn't cross over more to the UK, our charts.

Adele - Easy on Me - Streaming Estimates?
I think I went for opening and peak with 2-2.25 million streams, as much as I'd like her to increase or hold those values all week I doubt she will but I wouldn't be surprised if shes still doing around the million mark by next Friday.

OCC: Adele's Top 20 Biggest Songs
Still annoys me how Set Fire never made the top 10 even though it was there in the midweeks at least twice. Such a tune of hers and in my top two from her personally. I’m sure it even cleared 600k on downloads alone at the time whilst 21 was flying off the shelves. What’s also striking is just how successful the singles have been, given she hasn’t actually released that many. 3/4 of them have shifted a million units and even with streaming not being added she had six in a row that sold between 800k-1600k whilst the albums also sold very heavily. I reckon someone like you could really move up if 30 is another huge success.

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
How much did Shape of You do in its first 24 hours, I feel like it was around 1.4 million on Spotify but I can’t remember the exact figure.

US Hot 100 – 09/12/2020
Ah right ok. No I think I was getting confused with how their points system works as I thought certain variables had more weight if sales were low ect, but maybe I've got that entirely wrong. Just looking at that chart, it looks like Blinding Lights is staying atop of the airplay chart for the next update.
-
US Hot 100 – 09/12/2020
Are downloads weighted more than streams on the chart? Just as to me I feel like WAP should have gone back to no.1 given its airplay is just about giving it the edge over Dynamite.

Friday Chart Predictions
Whilst they might be popular, fans getting people to donate money to buy their single is a whole new level of desperation. Actually surprised to see they've never made the top 10 over here, I thought they had done but must be getting it confused with the U.S. Anyway I can't see them being top 10 by the end of the week, I think it'll be a close fight between WAP and HAH.
-
Friday Chart Predictions
I hadn't heard WAP until yesterday evening, safe to say the eyebrows were raised, although I did laugh out loud tbh  I can see it challenging for no1 next week, it'll have heavy youtube streams I'm sure and is already no1 on Spotify. In a strange way I kind of hope it does get there, its more interesting the the last two no1 hits we've had thats for sure.

Chart Battle Replay: Spiller vs. True Steppers
I do like OOYM its one of the best solo Spice singles out of all their respective solo careers and fair play to Victoria for trying a bit of garage, although I'd argue that genre does sound very dated, whereas Groovejet wouldn't be out of place if released now. I remember being gutted at the time Victoria only reached no.2, as Groovejet just did not appeal to me at the time but its grown on me over the years. Still its one of the biggest selling singles out of all the solo spice girl hits and sold more than most of Geri's no1 hits.
