If 30 can hold similar streaming numbers over the weekend (very unlikely) then she could have a decent shot at beating Ed’s record for streaming sales. I think 50k as previously suggested though could be a likely outcome though, the ITV special could potentially give the album another kick on Monday.

It’s not based on what had been posted so far. I’m just making a crude estimate if it was that’s what I think it’ll be.

Oh I may have misread the earlier comments haha. Either way streaming added it’ll be closer to 120-130k for the first day.

It was more me comparing the first set of data we have for Adele against Ed’s whole week. So with the missing streaming data and vinyls she’s probably done around 130-140 I would have thought.

You can’t compare Ed who is the biggest act on Spotify who set streaming records with his last album to then fall massively short to Adele who hasn’t really been around for several years. She’s still likely sold as much as Ed did in an entire week in one day. I think she may still get 300k but yeah the physical market is dead. Unless they tweak how streaming is counted towards the albums market, we are never going to get back to how big the sales ever were.

I think 250-300k is still possible, I think she’ll have steady sales like Abba did in the physicals the next few days. Plus the streaming, which I reckon could be 30-40k.

Yeah I wouldn’t call it’s flop, Adele will however be a consistent seller for several weeks though. I agree the physical market is almost dead these days. Given Adele hasn’t really been a massive streaming force I don’t think you can say it’s an underperformance, it’ll sell well over the coming weeks I’m sure.

Oh my god looks a good bet to be her highest charting track. I wonder how it’ll look with streams combined from Amazon music and Apple.

She has the top 12 in both the U.K. and US and the whole album is top 20 on the global chart. Very good start although the numbers are a little lower than I thought they’d be but I have a feeling it’ll hold better during the coming days. Equals didn’t even manage the full top end of the chart upon release so it’s doing better in comparison . The streaming record might be safe though

Having had a few listens I do really like this album, almost as good as 21 which is one of my all time favourites. Love the Amy whinehouse style jazzy interludes. The backing vocals I found quite amusing too. It’s more diverse than any of her other albums, more uplifting and positive than I was expecting. 25 seemed dark and gloomy despite it was a happier themed album.

Will be interesting to see how it holds on AM music today and of course the Spotify update. I must say I’m slightly surprised at my little love being up so high. Personally it’s not my favourite from the album, I think it’s one of the worst tracks tbh. To Be Loved seems to be slowly inching up though. What Is actually meant to be the second single? Is It I Drink Wine?

Lol are people getting fed up before they get to Love is a Game haha (joking of course). It’s a brilliant song to finish the album on. Looks like Oh My God is fast becoming the favourite album track, surprised at how well my little love is doing, I wonder if it’s more people are just leaving it on after Easy On Me.

Music week have just published an article on 30. The steaming equivalent sales record is 78,994.

Haven’t got all the way through it yet but I’m liking it more than 25 on an initial listen. Only got to I Drink Wine, Can I get it is a bop though and strangers by nature is brilliant way to open the album. What did divide do in first week streams? Wasn’t it 79k or something like that? I do think she could be within the 50-80k bracket at least streams wise. Her physicals will be interesting to see.

Yeah I was thinking she’d have to win, single, album, best female and then the global icon if that’s becoming a yearly thing and that’s still only 4. It’s my only gripe with the Brits as It is my favourite awards show, but there’s just so little awards wise, it’s a bit disappointing the different generes and international Artists aren’t represented very well.

I think she’ll open with around 360K, which is still big or massive by the current day standards. Given we don’t know what the pre-orders are it makes it very hard. I do think she’ll challenge divides opening week streaming wise, If not surpass it, but the physical market has shrunk. I’d rather not take notice of critical opinion as I’ve often found I disagree with them.

Wouldn’t Adele have to win like 5 awards in one night to equal Robbie. Given they barely have any awards to hand out these days, that’s a tall order to win the most ever at the brits. Incidentally both Adele and Blur do hold the record for the most won in a night, four.

Pretty incredible to see six British entries in the top 20. Really surprised at how well cold heart is doing, Elton could bag his first top 10 hit in I don’t know how long if it keeps climbing. Was candle in the wind his last top 10 over there?

I went for 200-250k, although I wouldn’t be surprised if it sneaks just past the 250k mark.

Ah thanks! So it is much lower then, I remember Galway Girl being very high with streams but couldn’t remember how the rest of the album panned out.

What did divide do on Spotify when it came out? I actually can’t remember the daily streaming numbers. He’s still going to have huge streams this week either way. I do think Adele could just hold him off though singles wise but it’ll be close.
