  1. Yay Addison Pet Shop Boys had my favourite song of the round so good to see them through too.
  2. My first Dannii song was 'I Begin to Wonder' thanks to SingStar games
  3. Approaching with caution after what happened with ‘The Giver’ but fingers crossed for an ‘Espresso’-esque #1 smash from Sabrina to quash the staleness at the top
  4. The trailer is coming tomorrow

  7. Yay Addison keep climbing I swear those additional streams weren't all me.
  8. Speaking of the McFly song - I don't mind it on the whole but they put philosophers to shame with "some people live, some people die."
  9. Yeah, I ultimately went in a different direction because I thought my other option fit the One Hit Wonder tag a bit better even if Bauhaus were technically eligible as per Bré’s rules. I think I probably would’ve gone for ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’ as it was the song that introduced me to them and is still a massive standout
  10. Round 1: 30 (didn't get: Alice Cooper, Dollar) Round 2: 30 (didn't get: 1974, Violinski) 3-in-10: 2 (Saturday Night At The Movies, Save The Last Dance For Me) - also said 'Up On The Roof' but that apparently didn't chart here

  12. I had two artists in mind and wondered if my other option would be here (Bauhaus who only had one top 20 hit) but not quite! The listening session was a great warm-up yesterday (Mr Blobby hijacking proceedings and all) - looking forward to hearing the less well known songs from these artists now.
  13. Oh I forgot that 'Glow' went to #1 here! It feels quite forgotten now sadly but I like it a lot.
  14. Gary Numan 🖤 I'm most fond of his 1979 work, with The Pleasure Principle and second Tubeway Army album, but he still had plenty of good singles in the 80s and more recently I enjoyed his song 'Intruder', from 2021. Basement Jaxx and Sugababes did a great job sampling his stuff too.

I wasn’t there but have been reading people’s experiences and I’m obsessed that Daphne & Celeste apparently performed ‘I Will Survive’ with footage of their infamous Reading festival performance in the background
  16. Decided to vote for my 5 favourites! The Rolling Stones - Paint It, Black (1966) Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale (1967) Nena - 99 Red Balloons (1984) All Saints - Black Coffee (2000) My Chemical Romance - Welcome To The Black Parade (2006) 🖤🤍❤️🖤🖤

  18. Spotify has updated. 78. Addison Rae - Fame is a Gun (+45) happy this isn't just falling away so far.
  19. You guys weren't lying about the second half of the album! The run from 'Walk of Fame' to 'Reborn' is particularly relentless love how fleshed out the track lengths are. I could totally hear the Sarah Cracknell voice comparison on 'Every Girl You've Ever Loved' from Rich's post too haha
  20. Yay well done all for the Friday 39s today's game: Round 1: 27 (didn't get: 1983, The Detroit Spinners, The Average White Band (annoying mind blank)) Round 2: 24 (didn't get: Lionel Richie, Lindisfarne, 1978 (one year out)) 3-in-10: 3 (Vienna, Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, Hymn)
  21. Ooh yay Addison has entered the Apple Music chart: 173. Addison Rae - Fame is a Gun
  22. Congrats Leww! Happy that my favourite performed as well as 2nd. 15th is a decent enough result for The MFA, will take that. Thanks for a great hosting job, Dan!
  23. Sorry I meant you, my brain is a bit cluttered at the moment 🤦‍♀️
  24. The MFA was a back-up pick after my original choice was vetoed for not being on theme enough. So minimal house it was! Thank you for all the points so far, especially the medals from Chez, Dan and Jim
  25. 'Freaky' makes a lot of sense as an Ansel entry!
