  1. I think it might've been 'I Believe In You' in 2005 as Now 60 was the first album I ever owned and it was on there! I distinctly remember trying to phonetically sing along as a 7-year-old
  2. Voted 'Poker Face' to win, the song / video that turned me into a big fan overnight
  3. Both total bops thank you for commenting 💗
  4. That Annalisa song sounded great when listening through the BJSC songs the other day
  5. Glad Addison didn’t fall out of the Spotify chart today. Here’s hoping ‘Fame is a Gun’ stabilises a bit now.
  6. ikr this song has cast a spell on me!! thank you for commenting 💗
  7. Great to see Ari in the runner up spot at the moment and PinkPantheress climbing into the top 40
  8. Taylor Swift regains ownership of her masters Apple Music effect begins: #62 Cruel Summer #143 Love Story #156 Look What You Made Me Do #171 Lover #186 Style #190 ...Ready For It?
  9. Voted! Weirdly I became aware of the OG 'Strings of Life' just this week as a podcast I've been catching up on ('the 2000s chart show' that goes through the U.K. top 40 this week 20 years ago) was chatting about the 2005 vocal version, then the host spoke of their love of the original and played a clip. Good to hear that in full for the first time through this contest. The closing track from Starchaser also sounded familiar, probably from being a top 40 hit.
  10. Fall Out Boy now despite fond SingStar memories x
  11. Starting with Emma, I actually think her 60s-inspired Free Me era was great but this was an unremarkable cover
  12. This has an iconic debut of #69 on U.K. Spotify
  13. Spotify has updated. Tate McRae is at #6! Addison Rae debuts at #69
  14. Oops sorry for leaving this until the last day! I'm working through it now... didn't think I recognised much by name but I actually do know the Felix song! I am also familiar with the gorgeous Jorja Smith version of 'Rose rouge' but didn't know the original sent here, sounding lush right now.

Oh I posted an instagram embed in this thread on 14th May with a clip of this song in it but I think the post was since taken down oops cannot wait to hear whatever it is in full! A comment I keep seeing on TikTok is that it sounds like her 'Club Classics'
  16. Kate Bush Hounds of Love is definitely a contender for my favourite 80s album, what a masterpiece.
  17. Hello Sergej! Yay, 'Baller' has been a massive keeper this year from Eurovision. I was pleased to see that it spent a second week in the U.K. top 75! I have heard new Lorde indeed, initial impression was that it was interesting but a bit too short, hopefully will get used to the duration quickly. thank you for commenting 💗 Hey Piran! :) Yay, Addison is now on 5/5 great singles for me this era - the 8-bit style production of 'Fame is a Gun' is amazing and the chorus has been lodged in my brain. thank you for commenting 💗
  18. Hello Piran hope you're doing well. Delighted to see 'Baller' debuting here this week it's been such a post-contest earworm. 'Soldi' is a fantastic flashback #1 too *.*
  19. Hi Sergej hope you're having a good weekend so far. I'm pleased to see 'Headphones On' sticking around in your top 20. Intrigued to see what you'll think of Addison's new song!
  20. Wow at a Coldplay album track being the 4th most streamed song of 2000! It feels a bit surreal to see Westlife in the list

These two videos that dropped today are really insightful, would highly recommend: 10 minutes of how ‘Headphones On’ was put together with Addison and her all-female production/writing team, so cool 💖 Strap in because this is a long one! The interviewers take Addison through her career to date and I learned some interesting nuggets along the way.
  22. Here’s hoping the #13 spot isn’t too unlucky x
  23. Ooh okay! 'Born To Die' was Lana's first chart topper for me too (with 'Video Games' stalling at #2) so I was in sync with the forum there *.* a great start to 2012 and I also wholeheartedly approve of the fortnight where 'Somebody That I Used To Know' was at #1 suddenly had a flashback to the time when many 'Something New' related signatures decorated the forum, so no surprises that it had such a mammoth run!
