The Eternal Sunshine Tour 2026
Only London dates for the whole of Europe and it's arenas! So probably a bloodbath for tickets? I saw Ari at the O2 on her last tour, so at least I've already experienced it if I miss out, but would love to hear this album live so fingers crossed.

EastEnders
Joel flipping like that in the café was pretty chilling to watch! I saw on social media that EastEnders is going to produce a documentary spin-off about the Joel misogyny storyline that will coincide with scenes on the show, interesting

Most streamed songs of the 2000s year-by-year
'Feel Good Inc.' is my favourite song of 2005 so I'm pleased to be in sync with Spotify users there! 2006 was such a great year for the charts good to see that a lot of Timbaland productions have held up well there.

SPINOFF NEWS: Schlagerfest II 🌌 Emilíana Torrini - To Be Free The latest BJSC spinoff, hosted by Lotunia, was revealed to be a part two of 2017's Schlagerfest edition. This side contest invites us to send the best pop from either Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden. In round one we chose Norwegian representatives and this time we shuffled over to Iceland instead. Emilíana Torrini, once a member of GusGus and also a co-writer on the gorgeous 'Slow' by Kylie Minogue, felt like a wonderful fit for our nation after exploring her catalogue. She once performed well in the main contest many years ago with quirky entry 'Jungle Drum' but our pick 'To Be Free' is an older, more trip-hop sounding pivot. This song, taken from 1999 album Love In The Time Of Science and later featured in the film crazy/beautiful, explores a painful relationship that the narrator needs to escape in order to heal. This cinematic beauty sits in slot #18 of the spin-off. In an unexpected turn of events, the only recycled act from the first Schlagerfest spin-off is our very own VIAN, who remain underrated after all these years - so this second shot is welcomed. We sent 9th place entry 'Gå Der Vinden Blåser' to the first edition while Terra Avium have followed this up with 'Heilt Te Du Dør'.

Jadakissnia ● National Thread Pt. II
BJSC 176 Resultsuvula - ty' i tvoya ten' 16th place | 160 points A more guitar-driven pivot paid off as we achieved our best result since April! uvula's 'ty' i tvoya ten' finished in 16th place following a dramatic reveal in République d'Áskorza, which unveiled each voter in order of their final placing. This is our second ever 16th position following 2018's snap result for 'Around The World In a Tea Daze (Ott Remix)' by Shpongle. Jadakissnia now have 56 top 20 finishes in our decade long history of competing. This is our best result since BJSC 173, after placing 25th and 27th respectively with goneMUNE and EQ. We can now claim four top 20 results in 2025 so far. This improvement on the last two contests is good news for the YTD as we remain stable in 5th place there. It was also revealed that uvula finished 6th place in semi final 2, with 78 points. The big success story of the night, if not year, was Fljótavík who stomped all over the rest of the competition! Their entry 'Infohazard' by Ninajirachi boasted an eye-watering 148 point lead over closest competitor 'deal' by MISS LUXURY, sent by Kathaldazia. We awarded 11 points to 'Infohazard' and decided that it's our favourite BJSC champion of the year so far. A huge congrats to Fljótavík - we cannot wait to get stuck into BJSC 177 soon. Elsewhere, FSR Rontvia also caught our attention in a big way. They currently have Jadakissnians under a spell as they received our 18 for the second month in a row! This time it was for the gorgeous 'Enfrente' by Mabe Fratti. A Spanish trip-hop sound was once again the way to our hearts following darkwave last time. This entry finished in a respectable 13th place. Our silver medal went to fellow dreamy entry 'Deep Diving' by After, sent by Pestolia. Our top 2 nations this month were not only next to each other in the Jadakissnian votes but also on the scoreboard, as 'Deep Diving' finished 12th. Our podium was rounded off with 'The Satantango' by Årabrot, a striking pick from Terra Avium. This was another top 15 success for our medallists, as they finished just ahead of our very own uvula, placing in 15th. Thank you to our hosts République d'Áskorza for the thrilling experience! These were our BJSC 176 final votes in full: 18 \ FSR Rontvia \ Mabe Fratti - Enfrente 15 \ Pestolia \ After - Deep Diving 13 \ Terra Avium \ Årabrot - The Satantango 12 \ Land of DW \ Contec & Lina Maly - Als Du Gingst (Edit) 11 \ Fljótavík \ Ninajirachi - Infohazard 10 \ Cumulonimbia \ Disiniblud - Disiniblud 09 \ Persephonia \ Brent De La Cruz - Day To Day 08 \ Aelandor \ YOU LOVE HER - This Is A Raid 07 \ Mothertopia \ Emily Osment - Lovesick 06 \ République d'Áskorza \ VTSS - Can't Catch Me 05 \ Kathaldazia \ MISS LUXURY - deal 04 \ Cor Lupus \ AMAKA - Spin It (feat. DETO BLACK) 03 \ Neliönoir \ Sofia Kourtesis - Corazón 02 \ Bøtanikkä \ Belén Aguilera - Laberinto 01 \ Macromia \ Arc De Soleil - Dunes Of Djoser Thank you to these nations for the following points in this edition: 15 - Persephonia 13 - FARC 12 - Fljótavík, Pestolia + Skall 11 - Flynnonda 10 - Neliönoir 9 - Cumulonimbia 8 - Aelandor + Land of DW 7 - Aeroche + Cumulonimbia 6 - A-Konohagakure, Scotland 2, + Trifoski 4 - Bronzil, Jupiterdonia + Kathaldazia 3 - Cheiron 2 - FSR Rontvia 1 - Dobago Next up... it's time for some German electronic music! I feel like British female artists often face the sophomore slump so it's refreshing to see Olivia blowing up with her impending second record instead.

Wow at Olivia's continued explosion in popularity! Saw a few different people I went to school with posting about her music / getting tickets to her tour over the past couple of days. IVE are a K-Pop girl-group and this is a brand new song from them!

‘So High School’ is the background music on the Instagram post announcing their engagement so maybe that could get a boost. (would be here for that, one of my favourites from the Anthology version of her last album)

EastEnders
Lol yes the writing in that scene was pretty shoddy! I did like the Pride of Britain and Dale Winton lines elsewhere in the episode though

PFSC XVII: Take' Em To The Chorus / Voting / Deadline: Friday 5th September 2025, 23:59 BST
Love that the likes of Porter Robinson, Heidi Montag and Toto can co-exist in a contest on here! I think most of these should be new to me so looking forward to getting stuck in.

sombr - I Barely Know Her
I need to give the whole project a listen but just heard 'i wish i knew how to quit you' and it reminds me a lot of 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World'! (a classic so not complaining x)

Schlagerfest II: 🌌Voting Thread🌌
My votes are in! 'Everything We Touch' was sounding really familiar, so did some digging and turns out it was sent to the Pop Forum Song Contest in the past. It came 11th there so will be interesting to see if it gets a top 10 redemption arc here.
