IKR this is the second time this has happened to me this year now after PinkPantheress !! I'm far too sleep deprived to take everything in at the moment but my hand was forced to put on the CD and this sounds like another complete triumph from her 🤩 my first listen holy trinity was 'Porcelana' (that production and choir!! also there seems to be an uncredited male voice on here, intrigued to find out who it is confirmed as), 'La Perla' and 'De Madrugá' <3 but the highs are endless. The strings throughout sound so grandeur and she takes her vocals to some incredible, emotional places, 'Mio Cristo...' particularly stood out for that. But yeah will do a proper listen 2 with the rest of the world tomorrow while properly following along with the lyrics in their many languages.

Yes, someone had read up on the artist and we were all taken aback, extremely convincing as a 'real' artist! I'd already listened to everything when making the recaps so had already formed an opinion on the song before the unexpected reveal.

I'm glad you warmed to 'Out Of The Woods' again! It was my firm favourite Taylor song until 'exile' shook things up a bit. What a massive, atmospheric pop song. The quickfire chorus is a rush. Shame it didn't really set the charts alight but true that it was pretty late in the campaign anyway! 'cardigan' is also gorgeous.

Glad people are warming to Julie, I think she clicked with me so quickly because her actress Karen Henthorn is such a talent. Agreed that Zoe's return has been a flop so far after the trailer/initial reunion with Kat seemed promising. Here's hoping the full-time Max return lands better as I did enjoy his scenes with Lauren and Oscar before he vanished again. The show's slump in quality right now is disheartening. I wanted to give the new exec producer the benefit of the doubt but I'm concerned that Christmas is next month and I'm not feeling particularly engaged, when the run-up to the most hyped episode of the year should feel exciting. Here's hoping things pick up sooner rather than later...

Wow what a packed week! My favourite is 'The Carnival Is Over', which I've always found pretty rousing, of course helped by Judith's vocal and the group's strong harmonies in general. But 'My Generation' is a stone cold classic so a worthy winner all the same. Petula Clark is currently doing the rounds on TV/radio to promote her autobiography and she's still so with it and looking great at almost 93, good for her!

'A&W', 'I Remember Everything', 'King of the Slugs' and 'My Love Mine All Mine' all becoming semi-finalists is excellent news

Caroline swerving the public yet again as it's only a head-to-head We desperately need a cull yet the producers are clearly trying to keep her in so we get this instead
