Taylor’s is a digital only release and as far as I’m aware it’s just the four new songs tacked onto the end of the album so it’s probably not a must-have for most fans.

She should have released an album in late 2002 and promoted it on Popstars The Rivals.

They’ll probably ship them early if there’s a chance of a top ten.

Seeing as casual sales are not such a thing anymore the only way to keep an album afloat is streaming numbers which can be helped with top 40 radio play and viral marketing. Neither of which generally favour older artists. I think older audiences who would have purchased an album months after release are not converting to casual streams months after release. Or even if they are it might be a one-time listen which converts to zilch in terms of streaming equivalent sales. It’s sad because people might look at the figures and compare negatively to 15/20 years ago but the sort of numbers she’s doing are the 2026 equivalent of a decent sized hit.

It is bizarre that there’s hardly any promo on social media for the girls. You’d think part of the agreement to do these releases was that they’d have to push it.

It’s strange that some of Sam’s variants were listed as Sold Out. How many copies were actually produced lol? 😅

2.5k for Sam Smith with plenty of variants is very poor, I thought it would be bad but not that bad. The drastic image shift undoubtedly alienated their fanbase. Jorja Smith seemed to be a critics darling and appeared to have a growing fanbase so that’s also a surprise. I’ve heard this is a dance album so maybe it’s too much of a pivot. The delays in dispatching the Girls Aloud albums will explain this comparatively lower start for Tangled Up. I predict it will end the week slightly better than the previous rereleases as it’s arguably their most popular album with fans.

Why don’t they restock some formats? There’s clearly demand from people wanting to add to their collection.

This is probably a dumb question but why are so many of the variants out of stock when there’s clearly demand? The label clearly don’t care too much about the album holding up on the charts. Or maybe there’s more to it than that.

I think if anything it shows it genuinely deserves its spot because people have actually spent money buying a copy/copies which is more commitment than just streaming it.

Thank god they’ve made the decision to ship them early! It was a great idea having 3 CDs as it seems most people have bought all of them.

If M and K rush released the cd singles I could see a strong top 40 debut but without I doubt it.

That seems like a ridiculous decision, POS was a clear hit and might’ve turned things around for album 2 here. It’s crazy how quickly labels can respond to virality and change single releases these days compared to back then where poor single choices could derail a whole album campaign.
