If Katy Perry’s streams are now being allocated to this hits collection, does that mean Teenage Dream will drop off the charts?

I do agree that the lack of turnaround has made the charts quite stale, however I think the revival of older songs to the chart is at least keeping things interesting. If 5/10 years ago you’d have said that some of these songs would have a new lease of life you wouldn’t have believed it. I think the true low point for the charts was in the earlier days of streaming when we had newer songs hogging the charts and didn’t have older revivals to make it more interesting. It was almost impossible for older/legacy artists to chart and now we’re seeing more variety.
  3. Great news!
  4. Really pleased Mad/Sab stayed top 30, with the video and promo still to come I hope it stabilises in the top 40. Hopefully physicals to come too?
  5. I wonder what yesterday’s UK streams were for Bring Your Love and if it was close to the top 200.

Should easily double her last album first week sales of 7,265 copies.

Would love nothing more than to see Mel take the number 1. Mainly because I know how much it would mean to her.

Certainly not dragging Sabrina, just making the point in defence of Madonna as there seems to be a lot of sniping towards her. If she got a new hit in the streaming era it would be great but shouldn’t be expected and that’s okay.

We need to remember that while Sabrina is hot property right now, it is unlikely she will maintain commercial success as long as Madonna did. Realistically ‘Hard Candy’ was M’s last big era so she had a stellar run from 1984-2008. Yes, she may now be a legacy act but the fact she’s still charting singles is impressive in itself. You can’t say the same for most of her peers’ newer releases.
  10. Which makes it all the more impressive that Padam Padam grew truly organically.

Hoping for the first Spice Girls solo number 1 for Mel C. Also hoping for a decent debut for Madonna/Sabrina 🤞
  12. Madonna’s ‘I Feel So Free’ had a 128.12% increase in global streams on Spotify compared to the previous day. 822,590 from 380,298 Can’t wait to see how the song with Sabrina Carpenter performs.
  13. Like A Prayer appearing on Spotify. Madonna is seeing a boost in her back catalogue thanks to Coachella at least.
  14. Yeah just to echo what has been said above, I was never able to become a member but lurked on the forums religiously since my late teens and will greatly miss it. Not only did I enjoy reading new stuff but I also liked looking through old threads to see people’s reactions to music eras in real time.
  15. Is favourite number 7/9 next? I’m fairly new so apologies if it’s already happened.
