Odd to see the likes of Scooter, Ultrabeat and Paolo Nutini appear when bigger hits of theirs didn’t feature on previous editions. Not complaining though. Love seeing double Duffy but I’m surprised to not see double Gaga. Glad it’s Bad Romance though. Never heard of the Bon Jovi song. Was hoping they might include some of the flops from Dido/Anastacia but oh well. I think the series needs to continue into the 10s even if just to see some better colours on the albums as that looks pretty hideous. :puke:

The writing for Sonia has been incredibly weak. She literally uncovers a lie every episode right now and still parrots the same thing. It’s like she’s observed Whitney throwing out every man who’s even slightly less than perfect and then just run in the opposite direction. :puke2:

Given how much everyone seems to slag of Big Bang Theory, I’d say that it’s far from overrated. Maybe the thread should be renamed ‘shows I don’t like’. :blush:

The Jess Glynne comparison was probably due to many poster’s obsessing over her recent lack of success and wanting to shoe horn it into everything. Gaga and Bruno are clearly not comparable to her in any way really. In fact, I’m not sure which artists you’d even begin to suggest they’re comparable to. -_-

I think we should allow debate on it. Doesn’t mean the thread will go downhill, it might even be more interesting than usual if we allow it to progress. Both Gaga and Bruno have reached a point where they don’t need the hits anymore. They’ve been there, they’ve done that, both can just focus on what they want to do. Gaga in particular is so versatile that whatever she does will have its fans. Not everyone that bops along to The Fame will have been that into A Star Is Born yet both were hugely successful. Her only career misstep IMO was Artpop because she became awfully pretentious and the music didn’t really follow her in that direction. I think this is a decent song but it won’t blow the charts away-it may be a middling long running hit but these two don’t need the huge no.1s so it doesn’t really matter. ;)

Looks to me based on the camera work, big obscuring objects and Wendy’s now bland wardrobe that Candice Leask must be pregnant. I hope they don’t screw up Wendy and Andrew to facilitate this. Kiri appears to be consistent with the characterisation she had from 2022. She’s extremely high maintenance and cannot accept a partner who is even slightly less than perfect. Good riddance. :w00t:

You can tell Johnny was never around, he can’t recall how shit Mick was and how Mick would absolutely useless in the same situation. I’m not sure after this episode you can say that the character of Johnny isn’t working. They just need to keep him out of dull relationship with Callum. I absolutely thought something was going to be let slip to Gina tonight. Still wondering who the next person to end up in the Six’s web will be. :)

I jumped to Radio 2 last year when I realised that I wasn’t enjoying the music anymore and all the presenters seemed to do was shout. I think I’d only really listen to Greg James now on Radio 1. :yahoo:

I don’t think it’s about Ed releasing so much, I guess it’s more to do with the fact that people simply don’t want more music from him because they don’t like it. :unsure:

They’re now saying Toadie is going down a route that is natural for his character at this point. I’ll admit he’s more interesting now than he’s been in years. Toadie is mainly only known for his longevity these days. He’s stayed with the show so long and that’s probably because he’s aware of his limitations as an actor. He’s very good at being the fun, comedy character but is incredibly weak when delivering anything emotional and just becomes shouty. And the writing has let him down big time over the past fifteen years-the Susan Bower era decided to make Toadie ‘grow up’ which could have still happened with his fun side in tow. But they made him a jerk to most characters whilst simultaneously still universally loved by all of them (the Kennedys suffered similar in that era but definitely recovered once it was over). Callum and Sonya were the saving grace but they’ve disappeared over the years and Toadie’s issues as a character are now more prominent because of this. The fact the character has had FIVE wives is ridiculous. It suits someone like Paul but not pillar of the community Toadie. Yes, Steph barely counts but she still does. Yes, he only married Mel because the show was ending. But it still happened. Yes, the Terese marriage was purely for shock value of the show returning but unfortunately that still counts and, along with the idea Mischa Barton could sell the show, was a huge misstep in the relaunch that we’ve thankfully finally recovered from. Terese is a fantastic character and Rebekah Elmaloglou is one of the shows best actors but even she can’t sell this. So as much as it’s a shame to see a big character going, the show does need to move past keeping characters just for the sake of it, especially when they’re not working anymore. With Amazon involved I’m not sure this was a budget decision. Sonya, Mark and Sheila were all let go at the ten year mark when the show was struggling financially but I don’t think that’s the case now. Terese could have face a similar fate and they’ve brought Harold back so I’m not sure money is a huge issue though Ryan’s salary would make room for new cast. I sound pretty negative but I’ve not got it in for Ryan Moloney or anything-I actually met him back in 2007 and he’s a great guy but the show needs to rest Toadie. <_<

This is like blasphemy of the highest order. Sherlock is the most overrated show, the episodes were too long, the scripts were too pretentious and Benedict Cumberbatch is generally overrated. :rolleyes:
