Well, of course artists want to be successful. What he doesn’t get is that they’re not all as obsessed with it as he is and not all will sell out their artistic integrity for it. I guess what I mean is, they want people to like the music they’re making, they don’t just want what people like to dictate their music.

Never change, Cindy! I did like how George seems to have knocked her back for Elaine. I do think he genuinely loves Elaine unlike Ian and Cindy. Priya munching on that apple was iconic. Tbh everything she does is.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised if the milkshake attack was a staged publicity stunt.

Hmmm, still not quite buying the objection. Of course the Doctor would be aware of the racism faced by black people. But he has also not been black in his living memory. He might actually be the first time he’s ever been on the receiving end of such discrimination. If he’d not reacted just because he should be ‘used to it’, it definitely wouldn’t have sat right with me.

This is still nitpicking though. What in the scene made it look like he’d never been discriminated against? This was just a new discrimination that he hadn’t before faced. I maintain you’re making this into a bigger issue than it is, if it’s an issue at all. I’m sure most fans won’t see it as one.

I’m not sure how it’s rewriting the Doctor’s whole past just because he reacted to being discriminated against due to his skin colour for the first time in his memory? Many people are managing to watch these episodes without declaring they’re ignoring history because of tiny personal nitpicks. I really enjoyed that and thought it was very well done. In recent years you could have expected the Doctor or Ruby to go on a five minute rant explaining what racism is and why it’s wrong but they way it was delivered here was pretty subtle in comparison and worked really well. Knowing its audience don’t need a lecture but appreciate the message all the same. What I’m loving is that Doctor Who is FUN to watch again. There’s still room for improvement but I’m finding the episodes both interesting and entertaining. Chibnall’s era bored me no end so I’m glad to few properly back on board.

At 26, you’re definitely due that feeling that chart music was better when your were a teenager, etc. I actually popped Now 76 on in the car today and have felt partly nostalgic but also horrified that some of that music was popular in 2010 :lol: But seriously, I think it’s a big thing for a lot of people mid twenties and older because of Covid. The tens sort of neatened out to a perfect end with things blowing up quickly in 2020. It’s been a pretty miserable half decade so far generally and the previous ten years are definitely something that can be looked upon fondly even if they weren’t perfect.

Well, my family member interviewed both Corbyn and Johnson on their visits to Wales in Summer 2019 and told me Johnson was pretty idiotic and narcissistic and Corbyn was interested and knowledgeable about the local issues as well as being very friendly. Who on Earth should we believe? Starmer doesn’t appear to be very nice at the moment. He should probably work on that.

I have some massive issues with parts of the current Labour Party but unfortunately I’m resigned to voting for them anyway. I want them to be better but this election is all about getting the Tories out whatever it takes. We can deal with the issues in Labour once that is done. Unfortunately, any more years of Conservative government is not worth risking just because Labour aren’t as great as we’d like.

I’m too busy to laugh at Sunak. I don’t find him at all funny. This should be politics not entertainment. People conflating the two is the reason why the last five years in particular have been an absolute nightmare to live through. But I guess as long as people get their lols.

I really miss the era of people discovering albums along the way. Much better than todays strategy of throw everything out there for a first week peak and then forget about it.

I don’t really see the point of watching a debate if you already know who you’re voting for and who you’re not voting for. There is nothing Sunak can do or say that will make me decide to vote Tory.

P!nk-M!ssundaztood Maroon 5-Songs About Jane Anastacia-Not That Kind Anastacia-Freak Of Nature Gwen Stefani-Love, Angel, Music, Baby There are loads more, it was fairly common. There was long term interest for albums back then unlike these days.

I do think you need to be a bit patient. I think this will be returned to and we’ll get answers later on for some of the unexplained things. If I’m wrong, fine, but at the moment we don’t know so let’s just see what happens.

16 year olds have also been able to vote in Wales for some time. The National Service thing is bonkers. The youngest people on the country that had to do it are now 85 years old. Imagine living your life without having to do it and then deciding to vote to make sure your kids and grandkids would have to do it?
