As amazing as the show now is, we’re still seeing echoes of the shitshow it was. It hammered home today that in the middle of seeing Lexi’s support network rallying around her, we glimpse poor Mia on her first day of high school. Also starting without her mum around and apparently not one member of her fairly extended family could even show their faces in that scene. Chantelle’s death is of the biggest mishandlings they have.

It was all quite ridiculous that the year had eight months of nothing except a lame bus crash and then they did all that in one week-no lasting impact whatsoever except Steven’s death which doesn’t really get mentioned enough. The show was a complete mess back then.

I said yes because it’ll often ruin the flow if I’m binging a series to skip it just because it’s Christmas. Like it wouldn’t matter for something like The Simpsons but it does for things like Doctor Who, Miranda of Gavin and Stacey.

It’s always been done I guess but I do feel like it’s every other song these days and what’s worse is that the samples rarely improve the song let alone sound better than the original.

Hope you don’t, Jade. I THINK, I might have had covid for the first time a couple of weeks ago but I didn’t test as I was off work anyway so I don’t know for sure. It was very much a heavy cold for the most part except one night where my body was aching so much I could barely move.

I started listening with Mark Goodier and he will never be topped on my eyes. No one since has come close and if you didn’t listen back then then I guess you might not know what I mean. Though I haven’t listened regularly since Jameela Jamil (ridiculously overrated on here) but when I’ve heard the chart since, even with a DJ I love like Scott Mills, it has never felt like the right time and attention was given to the chart.

Bobby has become one of the best characters in the show. I suppose Sharon’s ‘I was there’ line was vague enough to relate to any time period of Ian being with Cindy/aftermath of being with Cindy but she actually wasn’t ‘there’ at all when things hit rock bottom for them.

Jack Garratt was the first name I could think of. It’s such a shame he’s never had a hit particularly from his last album.

AMAZING. Those flashbacks were brilliant. Old Ian footage, Fatboy’s appearance (I had read he’d been seen on set a while ago and I just completely dismissed the rumour and this is the last way I would have imagined his return) and just-the detail! I was a bit sceptical about Cindy returning initially because I kept thinking ‘why now?’ But the storylining so far has been so careful and well done, it’s done a lot of work to make this make sense. This is the care and detail that was left out of Kathy’s return hence why that initially fell flat. The ending has me perched for tomorrow. Loved the briefs looks from the likes of Phil, Sharon and Sonia who remember Cindy from before. Eastenders is in such good hands with Chris Clenshaw. Even without this storyline, the show has been firing on all cylinders.

Kathy should have been in witness protection, though I guess they wouldn’t have been able to use it for Cindy in that case. But even her reminder of the ‘abusive relationship’ tonight only reminded me of how horrendously her return was handled and what a joke Gavin was. It’s easier to pretend she was never dead. They’re definitely getting Cindy’s return right.

I know I’ve heard Sprinter but I couldn’t tell you anything about it, it was that unmemorable.

I just think it’s been very unfair that heavily pregnant Lily has had to spend her entire Summer holiday being tutored by a man who seems to just turn up whenever and her passive mum just allows it for plot reasons. I’m currently watching a new Midsomer Murders where they’ve managed to squeeze in George Knight, Chrissie Watts and Aunt Babe! EDIT: and I couldn’t place the face at first, but it’s also got Laura, Gray’s boss.

I’m glad you’ve ‘heard’ that as I can now take it as confirmation that won’t be the case.

That’s what’s getting me with this. Stacey has never been portrayed as some sort of gullible idiot so I’m not sure why she’s started behaving that way now. Theo is very obviously creepy to the point I think he’s been miscast. I feel maybe if he was played by a bit of a ladies man/heart throb type then it may have been easier to see why Stacey just gives in to every suggestion he makes but this guy seems so much less convincing in every scene where he’s trying to appear normal.

So I’ve noticed I can’t preorder the album on Amazon. This is exactly what happened with Evolution. Please tell me the UK aren’t being screwed out of a physical release again!

Evergreen is also the A side given that it’s a Double A Side. Anyway I’m thrilled these are continuing! It’s out the day after my birthday so I’ll probably have to treat myself that weekend! Pleased to see a lot of the tracks there particularly One Day In Your Life, I was hoping for Anastacia to feature in this but I wasn’t she she would!

Probably that it’s more likely people will play an album/buy it for the music too rather than the singles which are clearly just selling a signature.
