Why did you ever listen to them in anger?

I haven’t bought a cassette since 1998. But I always listen to the CDs and vinyls I purchase. I actually most of my music through listening to physical products these days, I even bought a CD player earlier this year.

Fully deserved. It’s sickening that she refused to present herself. I think further investigations into the hospital management really need to be stepped up now. We need to hear why concerns were initially ignored.

It truly is a disturbing case. It’s disconcerting to me also as the Countess is more or less my nearest hospital, at least on the English side of the border. All speculation, but it seems to me that she very much played a personality and character to avoid suspicion and carry things out. Clearly she couldn’t fool everyone, but it does seem she played up to this ‘innocent white girlie her twenties’ image and could act the victim in order to get sympathy from those up top. I can’t even comprehend what she did and it’s disgusting she won’t attend the sentencing-which will surely be life. It feels like she is still playing the ‘I’m innocent’ card by appearing too distressed to attend-perhaps she should imagine how the parents of her victims feel? It has been reported throughout that she has claimed this whole thing has been a conspiracy against her and that she was being scape goated to cover up hospital failures. Speaking of hospital failures, I do hope heads will roll there given how many times doctors were ignored or forced to apologise for her. It’s definitely a symptom of where we are as people these days that covering up for the sake of reputation was more important than patient safety and that those who rock the boat in the interest of what’s right are the ones who get punished. It happens in a lot of industries (well in our government specifically) so if one good thing could come from this it would be that hopefully that culture will change.

I commend you for rewatching these. I rewatch Doctor Who every now and then but I’ve never been able to watch a Jodie Whittaker series more than once. It’s a shame that it’s the only era of DW with a female Doctor because it’s easily the most dreadful era of DW for so many other reasons.

I’ve been listening to her new album with Suzi Quattro all this week. Love this woman.

She didn’t actually get a D though. She got a 9 which was the highest grade. It was still ridiculous to follow this as it was presented as an A List story and she was only sitting ONE GCSE whereas Bex was doing them all at the same time and got no air time (though they made up for that with her A Levels).

I’m sure she actually got a 9, but still iconic.

I bought it a couple of months ago and have to say I really enjoy it. Something a bit different for Kelly but he never disappoints.

I cannot with Linda wanting custody of Janine’s child. This is the most ridiculous move in an already OTT ridiculous story that should be over by this point. What is wrong with the child going to live with his uncle, cousins and sister? Why should Janine not get the chance to raise her son once she finishes her OTT jail time? Let Mick go. He’s been gone for almost 8 months and no one has missed him. Barely any characters talk about him and the fans don’t mention him either. For someone who was slammed in our faces constantly for a decade it really says something that he’s left no legacy whatsoever. Sorry for the rant.

I feel like Alfie often gets too much flack. Of course it doesn’t help that the writing has been awful for most of his appearances over the last ten years. But he was great in that episode.

So that’s probably a done deal now that Reiss’s wife will eventually wake from her coma. I wonder if it’ll happen at the same time Sonia goes into Labour or they have their fourth failed round of IVF? And Kat was totally channeling Chris Clenshaw at the start when she was complaining about Little Mo not responding to her calls.

I enjoyed most of it. Kat/Ben worked better than Ben/Callum. I’m just fed up with Ben emotionally abusing Callum all the time and then Callum just rolling over and not standing up for himself. I’d rather have seen Kat further discuss their shared experience. Patrick and Yolande are great. I’ve said it before but there was never a reason to axe Yolande in the first place. I actually enjoy Reiss and Sonia-‘I don’t get my trumpet out for just any bloke!’ Always did think it was odd they never gave Sonia another child in the years she was offscreen. I also applaud Whitney for being up for adoption as I never really saw them writing her that way. I can’t see it happening, but wouldn’t it be nice to see a proper adoption storyline?

Not Elaine correcting Kim in the way that Janine never did. I can’t muster up much sympathy for Ben at all. He will just continually abuse Callum and now has a range of things to excuse him for it.

Pre-streaming they were both top 20 of all time, Love Is All Around was even top 10. Seems pretty huge to me.

Yeah I’m clearly new, coming for that record posters chart no.1 with over 26,000 posts just this week. Just feels like I’ve been here since 2006. But seriously, did you miss the hate directed at Taylor for having her TV albums counted as separate from the originals? People were ripping into her all week even though the album she had at no.1 was a new no.1 regardless. She certainly gets people complaining about her just as Ed gets loads of support on here to counteract people who don’t like him. And do you know what? What is wrong with having and expressing opinions on artists on here? Why can’t people want Taylor to get records because they like her music but not want Ed to get them because they don’t like his music? Why does everything have to be so clinical and passionless on here where the only opinion allowed is not having any opinion? The days when we could moan about artists we don’t like without coming under criticism are long behind us it seems.

I was sure Billy was going to come back with Little Mo! It’s disappointing she’s not back but I think they’re actually handling the story really well considering her absence which is something I couldn’t see happening when Freddie rocked up last year. So many good scenes, I loved the one with Bobby and Anna. Discussing Lucy and not realising that she’s a half sibling to both of them.

I actually thought that reveal scene was well done-absolute testament to how good Shane, Perry and Jessie are as actors and fair play to Bobby Brazier, he really is coming along. But please, Kacey, don’t tease! An episode! That’s all I’m asking!

Good to see Pink one of 4 2023 albums in the top twenty. Shame to see NGNDA has fallen below so many old songs that make the YTD charts so ridiculous these days. I was holding out hope that Trustfall could finish top 100 of the year but it looks like there’s no chance with all these ancient hits constantly gaining ground.
