Anyway, what is the actual criteria we’re using here? Because it does seem a little all over the place. I’d imagine it would be someone who became popular all of a sudden and then dropped quickly-Duffy, The Darkness, Emeli Sande all seem to fit that. But I do still get confused with the likes of Britney and Katy being mentioned. Sure they fell, but it was hardly quick.

Why the doubts? Seems good to me.

I used to run these polls. There was definitely a bias against Beyonce/DC. That doesn’t mean they always went out first but they often went out well before they should have done. I know that’s just my opinion but the bias wasn’t.

It’s been confirmed that has been axed. Unlike Toadie, I feel this one is a huge mistake. This character has come back into their own recently-basically since Toadie left and all that rubbish ended. Methinks the show might be struggling again. There are definitely other characters who could be axed first-Leo and Aaron spring to mind.

Honestly baffled by the abject hatred towards Girl in here-it’s a perfectly pleasant song, never gonna win but also not dreadful. But then Beyonce/DC never seem to fare well in these polls. I’m sure there’s a reason why but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

White Light was just such a comeback for me, really on form, the Corrs as they always should have been in 2015. Jupiter Calling was a massive letdown, probably one of the most boring albums I’ve listened to. I go back to SOS but very little else. Home and In Blue are decent but that top 4 are all fantastic.

In Blue is ranked about 5th for me so I’m in no rush. Will definitely get some of the others before it. Current Corrs ranking: 1 Talk On Corners (got) 2 White Light 3 Forgiven, Not Forgotten (got) 4 Borrowed Heaven 5 In Blue 6 Home 7 Jupiter Calling

So I have shelled out the £60 today for Talk On Corners in HMV. I know it’s ridiculous but this is an album I can’t wait for. Did see In Blue there too but that album can keep until a reduction happens. This is seriously why vinyl sales are starting to fall though.

I’d rather have the random radio 2 artists. I love how many legacy acts have been included on this volume and, if anything, I’d prefer more of that. Also it’s a hope of mine that Dido can snag a second appearance whenever she decides to put out a new album.

Omg that second half of disc 2 is amaze. Manics getting a second appearance and a debut for Linkin Park?

This Groundhog Day with the Panesars is still so exhausting. Nish literally tried to kill Vinny less than 3 weeks ago-why are they all still wanting to give him a chance?

Not sure I’m loving the tone of all these returns-it feels like setting up for some possible futures in a very optimistic way. Jane reunited with Masood and now Bobby too. Chrissie out of prison and reuniting with Jake-plus confirmation he wasn’t killed. David properly being there for Bianca and going to visit his granddaughter-being able to see that Joe is ok and that he’s managed well in life. It just feels great. I’m hoping Bianca will get a happy ending after they needlessly trashed her (and others) so that Whitney could get the world’s worst exit. Also hoping that the return goes the same way.

That’ll keep Labour in for a while yet.

I still think it’d be unfair to exclude. Yes, some have won twice but some didn’t get to win the first time either.

I’d include for consistency. Long running hits aren’t always guaranteed a win as they don’t always reflect quality.

Given that Human has already won twice, would it not be a little unfair to disqualify the repeats on the basis that we never did earlier?

Is anyone else lost here? I’m not sure who is actually responding to what at this point.

The Hits series could sometimes be better than the Now one-not often but it was possibly. My sister bagged herself Now 54 in April 2003 and I decided to opt for Hits 55 at the time instead-it was a really good tracklist!

Maybe it’s one in, one out with Louisa Lytton?

That’s a real shame. He has been the best EP for a very long time. Given some we had in the run up, this is something to be very nervous about, especially considering EE is the only soap currently doing really well (though I hear Emmerdale might have gotten better recently).

I can’t believe Nish is lingering on. It’s so boring. He really isn’t a good enough villain to have been on screen for 2 and a half years.
