I’m quite glad Poker Face is Gaga’s lowest song here. It’s good but it doesn’t sound as good anymore. I used to the Just Dance was average and Poker Fave was a massive step up but over the years my opinions on those songs have flipped completely!

Hopefully, if they’ve been monitoring feedback, they’ll realise Julie has proved popular and try and convince Karen Henthorn to stick around. They have showed signs of responding to feedback. As has been mentioned, Jasmine is now showing signs of actual character rather than just being a plot driven mess. Now her ridiculous storyline is done, she’s mixing well on screen. That was a beautiful episode to top off a beautiful week. In recent times this has meant that the next week has been appalling but hopefully it’ll keep up the standard.

In all fairness Julie could feasibly stay. She’s packed up her life in Scotland and has made lots of friends and is clearly part of the community. It’s just up to the powers that be to have the foresight to keep her. As a teacher she’ll also be an invaluable member of the community.

This story has been beautiful pretty much from start to finish. The only misstep I can think of was that silly car crash. Such an emotional end.

I hope that’s true! Josh isn’t exactly essential but he is really the only piece missing from the story and it’ll make sense that he comes to support his mum.

It’s little tiresome Vicki just having beef with anyone who returns to the Square. In the case of Grant, they haven’t even shared screen time since she was 9 years old and I’m not quite sure how he ruined her life unless she’s implying she really wished Mark hadn’t been born?

They keep promising to return to that sound. Please let it be true.

Unfortunately Lexi not going to school isn’t actually that unusual a scenario particularly given everything she’s been through. What I do tire of is all the other characters treating her like she’s still 7 and apologising to her when she’s the one being a brat. She’s been through the mill but that doesn’t mean she’s always right. Was it Max and Cindy’s car that flipped? If so we know those two at least survive until New Year so pray for Jimmy.

I don’t rate Cheryl as an artist particularly but Fight For This Love is such a great song! Would be higher for me, probably top 10. Not with any of you about Run This Town at all though. Yes, it’s better than Get Sexy but that particularly bar is miles underground! Considering the calibre of the three artists involved, it’s very much average and not a well remembered hit for any of them. The overshadowing by Empire State Of Mind is completely justified.

This is objectively better than the Now 60 we actually got. It was always one of the weakest in the series for me.

I have just seen someone suggest that recently revealed bully Louis is the blackmailer! I mean, a lot of the clues fit but why would he have Vicki’s number?

Whilst her scenes with Vicki were the best Zoe has been in ages, isn’t it odd that she’s barely had a a scene with her long lost children since they’ve been found? I’m not sure who’s blackmailing Vicki. I cant even think who’d want to either hurt her or Ross or even needs the money. Apart from Bea.

Again, why did Bea want to do anything that she did tonight? Why was she desperate to be seen in the same place as Honey wearing the same dress? How did she pay for four meals with a 20% tip on a contactless payment that couldn’t have been over £100 in order to be paid in that way? Like what is her endgame?

I mean, it’s not really changing his story is it? Just confirming what happened which fits with every version of the story. And that’s it. ‘She’s hateful because she won’t have photos with people in the street’. That entitlement. That is the reason so many in here are keen to see her in the worst light. The hateful in here keep being hateful. Just keep posting guys, you’re only proving my point over and over.

Why would he change his story to support Chappell if it wasn’t true? Even the girl’s mother said she didn’t know if the security guard was actually with Chappell or not. It sounds like there’s been some misunderstanding, they’re now all across it, an everything has been cleared up. Imagine being so hateful you refuse to believe several accounts of what happened just because you wanted to believe the very worst in someone…

You don’t believe it because you don’t want to believe it. You decided your opinion on Chappell and will pounce on anything that may confirm it. That has been my main issue with certain people in this thread. They’ve already decided what they think of her and are wilfully disbelieving actual evidence because it doesn’t fit the narrative that they drawn up. Chappell won’t have a photo with you but she ain’t a monster.

Do you think the writers realised at this point that Vicki hadn’t developed any female friends on the Square? The Slater women are who she often shares scenes with but they were all busy randomly hanging out with Nigel who I’m sure was cheered up greatly with the presence of Zoe. You also know the male friendships aren’t too strong whenever someone asks Ian to be their best man too. Why is Vicki so insistent on marrying Ross? She has a clear get out with Joel and she’s attracted to another man. Ross doesn’t appear to have some powerful hold on her so why is she desperate to marry him? She could easily go off with Zack, the excuses are right there. And as for someone taking a photo-so what? Half the Square know and I can’t see what benefit it’d have for anyone to blackmail either of them?

I didn’t mind Diamond Rings but Oopsy Daisy was horrendous. The no.1s of 2009 largely weren’t so great tbh.

The adverts have been dreadful for some time. It’s nice to be able to hear the songs properly on this one.
