Well actually my comment was to remind people about the real victims of this situation. I don’t really like seeing people seemingly getting excited about proving people wrong and stating that people are ‘stubborn’ and ‘unbelievably stupid’ because they disagree with you-within the same breath as saying people can’t handle a different opinion. The fact is, whatever happened, these families have suffered and will continue to do so-more so if this is dragged out. Quite honestly, if the convictions ever were overturned, I’d honestly still believe her guilt. All that will have changed is that they wouldn’t be able to say for definite that she killed them-or didn’t kill them. Hospitals wouldn’t touch her. Not even her parents coming in for a meeting would get her back into the medical profession. It’s highly likely her life would not be worth living should she be released. And we clearly don’t all just believe what the media tells us. Otherwise we’d all be supportive of these appeals right now.

EastEnders
Amazing to see Chrissie is still in prison. 19 years! Lucas was out in 10! Clair Norris is great and Bernie is a fantastic character. She works well as a support but can also carry some big scenes. I don’t think Bernie will say anything-it’s pretty absurd that she wouldn’t but it looks like they’re going to stretch this out a bit longer.

That’s lovely, I’m more concerned about how the families of those poor babies are feeling.

Just my opinion, chillax.

I’m stating my own opinion, why is that an issue for you?

Most likely because you haven’t obsessed over other cases like you have this one.

Dean will still go down but bow its for the crime he actually did commit. It’ll be interesting to see what tomorrow’s episode will bring. It might not be a bad thing if the identity of Keanu’s killer isn’t dragged out until next February-there’s still enough story in this plot regardless. Let’s not forget though just how many people got away with covering up that Bobby killed Lucy.

Definitely a loose end that needs tidying up! Court scenes were much better today. Linda certainly put Sharon to shame. I audibly gasped when Dean admitted to the rape. I’ve waited for that moment for almost 10 years.

Absolutely loving the Toadie backlash. It’s long overdue.

I’ve never been in a court of law, would they honestly have been able to go at Sharon like that? Yes, I get the prosecution making their case but the Judge literally joining in?

Songs/albums that were accidental successes
I would argue Ed very much planned for Afterglow to be a hit. He gets them when he wants them and can hold back when he doesn’t.

Liz Truss being dumb as a rock automatically makes her a crap leader. You seem to be projecting some image on to Starmer that isn’t true and it’s probably because you’re very right wing.

Elon Musk's descent into insanity
I quite enjoy how governments won’t cower to or put up with Musk if I’m honest, but you do you.

It sounds great but there’ll be some loophole where teachers don’t get it so I’m not going to get excited.

Poor Bernie tho being a flop blackmailer, shouting to everyone that Sharon is a murderer but it’s only the Six that are even there to hear her.

EastEnders
Still not over them killing off Abi. She could easily be part of the show now.

EastEnders
They are in danger of doing a ‘Mick Carter’ to George but so far I don’t think it’s been quite that bad. But I don’t see any reasoning why we needed to have his estranged son (with wife and child) and his long lost brothers this year when they could all easily have arrived more spread out next year. There’s so much else going on with that family at the moment, we don’t need all this. As for Cindy, I’m honestly not sure what they could do with her. All she ever did was be miserable with Ian, sleep with someone else or have a baby. She’s not even engaged with her own business. She doesn’t seem to want to spend any time with any of the children she claims to love so much. And I have to say, Michelle Collins doesn’t have the greatest range as an actor. In most other things I’ve seen her in, she kind of plays a variation of Cindy. I was worried about this when we found out she was returning. The case of the character being remembered more fondly than the actor. Gillian Taylforth has her limitations too but as you say, Kathy can slot in pretty much anywhere, she’s just one of those characters. There was always a space for her in the cast because Kathy can work with many characters and in many stories. I can’t help but think that perhaps Cindy’s arc was done in the 90s. Don’t get me wrong, I was sold on how they executed her return but I don’t look at the last 25 years and wonder what Cindy would have been doing. With the exception of Lucy’s and Steven’s deaths, I’m pretty sure she’d just have been cheating on and warring with Ian over and over. Like a latter day Max and Tanya.

EastEnders
Well, Cindy getting bored and cheating on Ian was always on the cards-it’s what Cindy has always done. Having rewatched her first stint again recently, she was constantly miserable and looking for something to cheer her life up. The fact that Ian has stopped worshipping her is all part of it. However, I agree that straying with Junior is not working. I’m not sure we need her family hating her again and having her need to win back their trust AGAIN when we’ve just had a year of it. Rinse and repeat just like Sam whenever she came back over the past couple of years. However, I expect it’s a done deal that Cindy will sleep with upon his return which I am looking forward to.

And these principles that you claim the last Tory government held? Are they in the room with us right now?

Quite rude of everyone to get involved in a life threatening situation whilst Saint Sonia of the NHS is incarcerated and unable to cure everyone.

EastEnders
Feels too ‘George was married to Cindy’ to me. I’m intrigued about Chrissie’s return but I’d rather she had no secret connection we’re unaware of.

EastEnders
I mean, I get why it would have been a stretch for Cindy to imagine Ian turning up at Peggy’s but why wouldn’t she think Peter, Lauren or Bobby would turn up? It’s amazing Anna and Gina weren’t there. Will be interesting to see where it goes tomorrow. I love that Reiss’ plan to help Sonia is currently just sit in the house alone with his head in his hands. Part of me today thought they should bring Bex back (it’s been 4 years) but then I remembered how dull and dreary she was.
