There were eliminations at the auditions in season 1. I’d have liked to continue with a non-elimination first round after it happened in season 2 for sure, but removing the battles meant something had to give.

For what it's worth I don't think any of the artists entered across the 3 seasons so far are that bad that they don't have a place. Still very much pop at the core with a few that do appeal to other crowds and tastes (as well as some good discoveries for the pop loyals). Will continue to put up with Bra pushing it

Hen you're very lucky I've not vetoed any of the more alt-leaning acts in any of the three seasons xx (in all seriousness though for as long as I personally host this, The Pop Factor, in the Pop forum, there probably won't ever be a free-for-all with genres ) I try to be as lenient as possible but in the grand scheme of things if there were other iterations of this, for example The Rock Factor, I highly doubt I'd be allowed to participate with a pop twink.
