  1. Out tomorrow! Can’t wait for another slice of the album, DFYLM remains fabulous
  2. Yeah they're all separate in the results, didn't want to step on any toes just putting them all under the one umbrella

Day 1: Favourite trans character - Elektra Abundance-Evangelista (Pose) Day 2: Favourite new TV show released in 2025 - Cassandra Day 3: Favourite on-screen friendship - Dustin Henderson and Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) Day 4: TV show you've deliberately avoided watching - Mrs Brown's Boys Day 5: An underrated TV show - The Recruit Day 6: Favourite quiz show - The Weakest Link Would have to be the original run with Anne Robinson though always TENSE! I've watched a few episodes of the Romesh reboot and it just isn't the same for me.

Devil's Plan has definitely been on my radar for a while now, D*. You're selling it so I'll get on it soon
  5. 71 Star Trek 79 points [higher top score] 72 Outlander 79 points [lower top score] 73 The Apprentice (UK) 77 points [more votes] 74 Race Across the World 77 points [less votes; more votes] 75 One Day at a Time 77 points [less votes] Up next we have a show that had the troops rallying in their masses when Netflix made the decision to cancel it - One Day at a Time. A victim of COVID, the show was picked up for cable TV (the first original programme cancelled by Netflix and then revived on linear TV) for its fourth and ultimately final season, so at least we got more of the characters we'd come to love. Race Across the World has grown into a staple reality show for the BBC, following teams of two as they travel across, ahem, the world to try and reach a destination the fastest. There's also celebrity editions and although it's something I've not watched myself yet I absolutely must soon. The Apprentice has given us many iconic moments over its 20-year history and just last month concluded its nineteenth series. Lord Sugar, Karren Brady, Tim (COME BACK CLAUDE) and a bunch of delusional entrepreneurs for Thursday night TV at the start of the year, what more could you want? And rounding out this section we have historical drama Outlander based on the book series of the same name that's so far run for seven seasons and just renewed for an eighth and final, as well as the mammoth that is Star Trek.
  6. OP now fully updated including stats and results from PFSC XVI: Dreamy Pop!
  7. Season 2 continues on Saturday with... The Story & The Engine. Time for another episode by a guest writer and this time it's the turn of Inua Ellams with his first script for Doctor Who; he'll also appear in the episode briefly as a market seller. Not much is known about this episode at all besides a couple of rumours but it will feature an all-black cast (Mrs Flood's weekly appearance aside) as well as both the writer and director being black too - Inua and Makalla McPherson respectively. In Lagos, the mysterious Barber reigns supreme. The Doctor discovers a world where stories have power, but can he stop the Spider and its deadly web of revenge? 8am on iPlayer, and 7:10pm on BBC One. Discuss the episode here ~

Day 1: Favourite trans character - Elektra Abundance-Evangelista (Pose) Day 2: Favourite new TV show released in 2025 - Cassandra Day 3: Favourite on-screen friendship - Dustin Henderson and Steve Harrington (Stranger Things) Day 4: TV show you've deliberately avoided watching - Mrs Brown's Boys Day 5: An underrated TV show - The Recruit Actually found today's one quite difficult because I don't think I've watched many TV shows that could be classed as truly underrated but going back through my list of TV shows I've watched over the last few years The Recruit stands out since it's just been cancelled after its second season 💀 season 1 had such a compelling storyline and Noah Centineo was great in that kind of role.
  9. Voted! Must admit after listening through the contest in full I'm not sure I'd have found something to match the vibe of like 80-85% of the stuff that's been entered but some nice (re-)discoveries here!

The mass hysteria around it and that BBC interview interrogating Kemi Badenoch about why she hadn't yet watched it, embarrassing. Everything just made me not want to.

Meh. Well done Ruud. Draper made too many errors in that third set and just lost control of it even with a couple of good saves preventing a total wipeout.
  12. Calum posted a post in a topic in Sports and Fitness
Draper is so frustrating to watch sometimes the momentum is on his side and the errors just start repeating themselves when he needs to keep it up.
  13. Calum posted a post in a topic in Sports and Fitness
That deuce was never going to end, glad he managed to take control of the set though. Finish him off now Jack 💪

Back in it Get that third set Jack, come on!!
  15. Calum posted a post in a topic in Sports and Fitness
That first set was painful to watch… Jack already looking very frustrated and not keeping his composure. Can see Ruud doing this with the second set if Jack doesn’t pull himself together 😔
  16. 76 The Chase 76 points [higher top score] 77 Match of the Day 76 points [lower top score; more votes] 78 Waterloo Road 76 points [less votes; higher top score] 79 Queer as Folk 76 points [lower top score; higher top score] 80 Big Brother Canada 76 points [lower top score] A quarter of the way through the top 100 now, and up next we have a mix of some reality and drama. Big Brother Canada launched in 2013 and ran for twelve seasons before ending in 2024, hosted by Arisa Cox and becoming a favourite among fans of other international versions of the Big Brother franchise. Queer as Folk (1999; not to be confused with the American version) is one of many Russell T Davies-penned TV shows, this one following the lives of gay men in Manchester. Despite receiving mixed reviews at the time it was broadcast, it is now often listed among some of the top dramas of all time in countdowns and rankings. Waterloo Road was the pinnacle of drama shows set in a school, inspiring spin-offs like Ackley Bridge in the wake of its cancellation in 2015. There was a gap to be filled but it just didn't quite cut the mustard. When the show was added to BBC iPlayer so many people were watching for the first time or rewatching and falling in love with the show again that the show returned, having just concluded its fifth revival series with Lindsey Coulson at the helm as headteacher. Match of the Day is one of the BBC's longest running shows - it's been on air showing highlights of football since 1964 and continues to be a highlight itself for many football fans. And finally, The Chase - fronted by Bradley Walsh - sees four civilians (and sometimes celebrities in special editions) take on Chasers versed in the world of general knowledge and quizzing in an attempt to win a huge cash prize. The show has given us many a meme-able moment over the years and has become a staple of teatime TV.

  21. Love Aitch but after a few listens I'm struggling to get into this. Really can't abide Anne-Marie and she overpowers him a bit and makes the song a bit jarring with the try-hard diction.

Hopefully he ends up getting in Ruud's head a bit. I don't think it'll be as plain sailing as people are suggesting despite how much I'd love that for Jack; some people saying it'll be two easy straight sets for him but I can't see it quite panning out that way.
  23. "Look at the worse things she's done with the nuns" This is where it - for anybody who is using this as ammunition to further call Katy's character into question - completely falls apart and becomes quite laughable. Has anybody bothered to read what actually happened or do we just run with the buzzwords that 'Katy killed a nun' and suddenly denounce her without fact-checking? It's not too far-fetched to say trying to reason with those invested so deeply in hating on her is like trying to reason with MAGA cultists. The nun in question was 89 (!) years of age and the legal proceedings were valid. Useful article here to summarise what happened excluding misconstrued, unchecked statements on social media. I'm not having a go at you or any of your opinions/musings here Mellope, for the record. My post was commentary on the criticisms more broadly.

Good shout there with Mark and Jeremy @Chez Wombat I've been going back to Peep Show a lot recently just putting it on whenever I don't want to start something new and they'll forever be iconic!
  25. The amount of hyperbolic energy in the OP... 🙈 Every single comment I've seen littered in supposed disillusionment about the Lifetimes Tour (and anything Katy does in general) clearly comes from people desperate to add to the pile-on circles that are, quite frankly, just becoming embarrassing and tiresome to read. Do people really have nothing better to do with their time than trying to seek - at this point - ill-informed opine validation and 'comfort' on social media that are at this point seriously lacking any critical thought whatsoever, becoming so wrapped up in a constant swarm of vitriol and hatred for one woman no matter what she does? The fact of the matter is, no matter how people try to spin things to fit their narrative, the Lifetimes Tour is going to be a success for Katy. Whether or not she actually makes it to the end of the tour given the fragile mental and physical state she appears to be in is a different conversation but dates are sold out. People are going to the tour because they are invested in Katy as an artist. Because they are invested in her back-catalogue. Because they want to see somebody they've idolised for however long perform live. Why does it matter to people who clearly aren't going to attend the shows what she's wearing? What choreography she's doing? What visual effects the tour has? What set pieces there are? Nobody critiquing all of this wants to take a step back, bite their tongue and be objective about the fact that there is a narrative reason for things that are happening or accept the fact that these are all components that have created a Katy Perry tour in the past; something nobody has taken issue with until it's deemed socially acceptable to because if you appear on the internet as somebody who's prepared to bash Katy, justified or not, then you must be the epitome of a high flyer in life. In answer to the OP: for a while, no, she wasn't a victim. And while there are absolutely better ways the backlash to some of the decisions Katy and her team made at the beginning of this era could have been handled by them, everything that has happened since and the way people have behaved and continue to online, she has become a victim. The attitude from people who are chronically online and ultimately miserable in this day of 'my opinion is this and it can't exist itself without finding a group of people to echo that sentiment in its entirety which means it must be the only correct opinion' is tiring. People are so wrapped up in a bubble of wanting to be correct, wanting to feel validated in their views, trying to type their way to some sort of social and moral justice that they inadvertently become the perpetrators by constantly trying to shout the loudest, losing any means of sensibility and nuance in the argument against her and things she has done that may have brought her character into question in the first place. How can you stand firmly on any supposed moral high ground and watch what's happening to this woman and think you are on the right side of things when she is receiving death threats, her daughter is being dragged into all of this, every single thing she does is being criticised no matter what when, ultimately, most of what she is being criticised for in the past few weeks boils down to nothing more than personal taste or interest in who she is as an artist and what her brand is and has been all along? It's ridiculous.
